He's about 6'1.5" with Rob at age 58 there. In His prime maybe 6'2"

Might well be Thomas who has slight edge there.

He looked very imposing against Michael J Fox in “Back to the Future”, although Fox is on the shorter side. In those movies Wilson was around 25, and presumably at his peak. Would you think he’d hit 6’3 back then?
Andrey200 said on 18/Nov/22
With Rob he certainly looks this listing, so I'm actually quite sure he was taller at peak.

Why have you not got a peak height for Wilson? When you met him he was older and probably lost a little no? In BTTF he looks easy 6'3

He may have lost 1/4 inch at that point, if I think somebody has lost say 1/2 to 3/4 I will try to add peak/current

@Hyper @Rampage yeah Bo Burnham is really huge, tho it isn't often that he's pushing his eye level upwards hence he get a much much taller impresssion, tho i agree if Bo got 6'5,5-6'5,75 range, he sometimes look 6'6 tho

Thomas F. Wilson: 6’2 5/8”.

Bo Burnham: 6’5 5/8” or 6’5.5”-6’5.75”

Again, people will disagree with me, a lot, but this is what I see, based on how the two appeared in ‘Zach Stone Is Gonna Be Famous.’
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 25/Aug/21
Rob, what you have him at currently would be the lowest I'd argue peak, up to 6ft2¾. I'm reluctant to give him the full 6ft3 although he could pull it off...kind of like Ted Danson and Jeff Daniels, close to 6ft3 but maybe just missed it.

6'2 1/2"(189 cm) sounds right for his height because I am actually half an inch taller than Biff and if Biff starts bullying a kid or a teen I would say to him "Hey Biff, why don't you pick someone your own size". Because I am actually 6'3"(191 cm) because my doctor Alexis and the secretary measured my height and they found out and knew that my height is 6'3"(191 cm) without shoes, so now they know that my height is 6'3"(191 cm) without shoes.

@RJT it varies. I’m probably the same height as you (189 last time I measured) and my cousin who’s 5’9 in his shoes (5’7.5 without) is up to my cheekbones. As you can see Thomas’s cheekbones are Rob’s height and Rob is a solid 5’8. This puts Thomas at a weak 6’2

Really 6'2.5" Rob?

His chin is barely at 5'4 which is 163cm so that must mean his head is over 10" around 10.5"? My chin is comfortably 5'5 and even my head length is 9.5/8" top.

Eyebrow also is under 5ft 10, while mine is slightly above it at 5'10 1/8 or 5ft 10.25" depending on the day and I'm 6'2.5". Nosetip is well under 5ft 8 and my nosetip is comfortably at 5'8.5" at my tallest, nosetril is 5'8 bang on.

Does that mean even though we're both 6'2.5" guys I can give taller impression and will look taller in photo if photographed together? Please reply Rob I genuinely want to know.

The Shredder said on 18/Dec/17
6'1 range is way too low , He looks around 6'2 in Rob's photo and you can tell by his neck and hip that he isn't standing as tall as he could. He'd most likely appear a strong 6'2 in the photo if he stood better , but he is closer to the camera so subtract a little and you still get a guy at worst a 6'1.75 guy and most likely 6'2.

As for the Back to the Future heights , Yes LLoyd could have been between 6'0 and 6'1 and Glover more of a 5'9 to 5'10.

fisherman said on 17/Dec/17
Okay, now that I just saw BTTF2 this whole thing is much clearer to me. The key is Lloyd's height. Lloyd was never 6ft1 or whatever people think, he was NOT a full head taller than Fox. Similar actually to what it's been in later years, check out the pic on MJF's page (Fox hunching, Lloyd standing very straight and Fox still comes up OVER his chin). In the movie(s), Fox wore sneakers so any "shoe advantage" goes straight out the window.

It all makes sense when it's like this, and I mean in the 80's... Fox: 163-164 cm. Lloyd: 182-183 cm. Wilson: 185-186 cm. (no shoes, afternoon/evening heights.)

Wilson's obviously a BIG guy, but as for his height, almost 6'3" is a joke. He's not 3+ INCHES taller than Lloyd, he might be 3-4 CENTIMETERS taller.
berta said on 14/Dec/17
o dont think he is a flat 188 cm today he may have lost a fraction. maybe strong 189 guy peak and a weak one today?
Bugs said on 8/Dec/17
Rampage: 3 INCHES, no. Lloyd is an old man now, 80 or about to be, can't remember... and that's after the age when you REALLY start losing height. All of my relatives, my great uncle for example was considered TALL as a younger man and into his 60's at well over 180 cm (my other family members said they think he was taller than me). That uncle of mine was nothing close to "frail", he was a tough guy, served in the war when young and was a career officer for a while after that. That kind of persona I think sticks. I only ever really met him after he was already in his 70's, he must have had lost height (posture?) at that point. I was about 17, hadn't even reached my full height. I was 178-180 cm. But at that time I was as tall or taller than him. A bit later I noticed that wait a minute, it looks like I'm the tallest living man in the entire known (close) family, as my father began to age and lose height (spinal problem that was always there but he was never athletic enough to compensate for anything). I myself was measured at 183.5 cm when I was 21 or 22 (not sure now, some of my cousins are younger and might beat me :) ) . I feel like a king of the dwarves...

Actually I'd guess that Lloyd was never taller than 184, 185 but that's another topic. In any case it makes sense that he would be about 5'10.5-5'11" now.

Shredder: Yeah, that seems likely. Again since you can't see the shoes and the picture is shot from a low angle (btw it's also tilted), it's difficult to tell (I wrote on another page how me and a friend in a photo look EXACTLY the same height despite there being a measured, in socks, difference of 4-5 cm). I think your friend could be 5'11.5" to 6' flat, somewhere in that range.

Also again, look closely at the top of their heads, estimated in Wilson's case because of the combed up hair. If he really straightened up, he would be taller (so would anyone else by the way, who knows the posture of the other guys?), I think I already said that, but anything approaching 6'3 is HUGE. If there was a 3 inch difference, Shredder's friend AND Lloyd would be DWARFED. I'm still saying Wilson is in the 6'1" range , but if I ever meet him and notice that I need to turn my head up 45 degrees to look him in the eye I will concede something!
The Shredder said on 3/Dec/17
If Lloyd is 5'11 now than My friend can't be over 6'0.
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 2/Dec/17
He could have near 3in on Christopher Lloyd...
Bugs said on 1/Dec/17
Shredder: Yeah, that pic is a great addition in any case. I'm fine with anyone thinking Wilson was 6'2+, it's not like this is a war. Like I said I know that one guy who's 6'3.25". I also know another guy who says he is 5'9.25" and I clear that guy easily (eyes attop of head easily). The taller guy clears ME by the same amount (btw I estimate him to be Conan O'Briens height). No direct/exact comparisons but I believe both of their heights since they are military measured. And the taller guy has trouble driving some cars where the seat doesn't go back far enough and his knees bang on the wheel...

Wilson clears 5'8" AND 6' flat easily, but that doesn't make him 6'2". That's just my estimate.
The Shredder said on 1/Dec/17
Bugs , 6'2.5 is most likely his peak , and as for the guy in middle that is a friend of mine who is a tall guy but I'm not 100 % sure what he is , so I posted that here for Rob and others to give an estimate.
Bugs said on 30/Nov/17
A quick add-up as I was just heading out, I've been up a full day and I still clear 185 in shoes (running shoes, I think the heel might be close to an inch). Also I forgot to mention that the trio pic there was shot from a low angle, even looking UP towards Lloyd and that does make a substantial difference.

And as always, I don't think anyone here is saying Wilson is "short" or "putting him down" (in that respect). I just personally think that, speaking in absolutes, a genuine, even flat 6 ft guy is tall. More so for 6'1. Even a little tiny bit more than that really, really, seriously DWARFS average-sized guys.
Bugs said on 30/Nov/17
Okay, based on that trio picture there, things seem slightly more mysterious. I am more 5'11.5 than anything more later in the day (almost exactly 6' in the morning) but with shoes I always easily clear 6 ft and even 6'1" with boots.
So if the guy in the middle is basically my height, how come Lloyd (listed the same!) looks clearly shorter there? Also, in THAT picture, you can CLEARLY see Wilson dropping a bit to fit in the frame.
Just the other night, I met two friends, one 6'2 flat and one 6'3.5". Honestly the difference between myself and the 6'2 guy is not really noticeable at all. It's almost eye to eye and you can't really tell unless you stand next to a mirror or something. The 6'3+ guy on the other hand is completely different, I basically need to tiptoe or he needs to hunch down a lot if we want to hear each other in a noisy setting and such.

Anyway, in that trio pic I see maybe 1 cm between Lloyd and the middle guy but still not over 2 inches between middle and Wilson. I guess I could "upgrade" my estimate to 6'1.5". Keep in mind still that Wilson does have fairly long hair that is combed UP, whereas the other two... you can clearly see where the top of their head is. I definitely still don't think he's 6'2.5, that is too much.

@The Shredder

For me, the best way to measure height is to use a long aerosol spray can, and the second best is to use a hardcover book. I don't advise measuring without an object like a can or a book, that's probably why you mismeasured your friend.
The Shredder said on 23/Nov/17
Christian , I measured him barefoot around 1 am after we went to the bar in town that I use to work at. It wasn't against the wall with a mark or anything flat on his head as it was just me holding the tape and I read the top of his head at almost 6'1 , but I now know that isn't the best way to measure somebody because I did the same with with another friend and read 5'8 flat , but he is shorter than Steven Yeun , turns out my 5'8 friend is just over 5'7. Heck , which is the main reason I thought Yeun was closer to 5'9 or minimum just under ... ( " Yeun taller than my 5'8 flat friend? He has to be close to 5'9 ? )

Back to my friend in the pic , He claims 6'1 and has said He was measured over 6'1 in shoes , He mostly wears normal 1 inch dress shoes. P.s> , He also met Will Smith and swears he is no bigger than him and he is a guy that doesn't even care about height.

Even tip of nose to top of head is very unlikely to be more than 5.5". As can be measured from the picture, and was mentioned below, Wilson's head length is the same as admin Rob's (Wilson is closer to the camera). If you look closely, neither is standing with a full posture. There simply isn't 6 inches or more between them.

BTW, I never actually suggested 6'1 flat, but rather 6'1.25". He looks big, yes, but 6'2 anything is purely overestimating the difference which always tends to happen with tall people.
Editor Rob
I think in person he looked taller than 6ft 1 men do, I wouldn't have thought 186cm being possible for him.
The Shredder said on 18/Nov/17
I have a friend that claims 6'1 who is taller than Lloyd by about an inch , but a good 1.5 shorter than Wilson.
fisherman said on 17/Nov/17
@Shredder I guess you could say 6'1 IS close to 6'2... it's all relative :)

But yeah. A good rule of thumb is that a FLAT 6 ft guy will have their eye level at 5'8", and it's rarely any more than 4-5 inches from the eyes to the top of the head (IGNORE HAIR!!!). 6'1 seems plausible. I looked at the pictures with Christopher Lloyd and it is indeed extremely unlikely that there would be 3 full inches between him and Wilson.

Bugsy said on 14/Nov/17
berta: yeah. Poor posture/things of that sort, I've had problems with that myself. I'm not that old but I personally have even "lost" height and got it BACK! Nothing extreme, but a noticeable amount. This year I have been about 0.5 cm taller than last year and I don't really know why. Probably some difference in physical exercise, but don't know what exactly.

Now that I look at that Wilson picture more closely, this is actually more like a great example of what I'd say is "around 6ft1". You can tell he's clearly taller than 6 ft, but not even close to 6'2". Look at this one and compare to the pic with Christopher Lloyd. 3" between Lloyd and Wilson? THREE? INCHES??? No way.

i think you are right bugsy. on this site people can have peak height even before they turn 50 years old i dont hink people lose height that early but rather poorer posture. when they closing in on 60 years old thats when they start to loose alitte. around 70 years old the average is closer to 3.5 cm lost. i think most people have lost on average 0,5 cm when they are at this guys age.
Bugsy said on 12/Nov/17
Height loss at 58 years of age? Maybe some millimeters. I think I've told this story before but my grandfather was 5'9" at 20 y/o, measured in the military. Measured again at 64 years of age, he was STILL 5'9". He was not in shape anymore and his posture had always been awful through all those decades. He had developed a severe curve in his spine. But still, when he really straightened up for the measurement, he WAS still the same height. If there's no disorder, illness or smth noticeable height loss STARTS at 70 y/o, you can check this on the internet or with your doctor.

Thomas F. Wilson looks like he's in fine shape. 6 ft 1.25, depending a little on the shoes there. Big guy.
Jason said on 12/Nov/17
Looks more 6'2 than 6'2.5 imo.
Canson said on 11/Nov/17
Actually can look a low 6’1 tbh. He’s only about 5.5”above rob (because he has a large forehead) but not accounting for anything like posture. Can look 6’1.5-6’2
Junior said on 11/Nov/17
He should get a peak and current height. No way Thomas F. Wilson look same height as Brandon Routh, maybe peak.
Borats Chicken said on 11/Nov/17
his hair makes him look more 6'3 next to you rob
Christian-6'5 3/8 said on 11/Nov/17
@Jordan87

I agree, he looks 6'1.75" honestly, especially with him standing a bit closer to the photographer than Rob is.
Editor Rob
there's really not much between Thomas and Ray Fisher in person, both seem 6ft 2ish range, not as tall as 6ft 3, but clearly taller than 6ft 1 men.
Jordan87 said on 9/Nov/17
If you compare him to Rob's Pic with Brandon Routh, he is around 3/4" Shorter. He could be around 6'1.75" now at age 60, which should yield a good 6'2.5" in his prime.

Big Fella he is. Maybe back in the day the 210 pounds was the case when he was in the early Back to the future moves, but he is much heavier than that now, yes around 250's, maybe 260's.
miko said on 9/Nov/17
6'2.5 next to Michael J Fox looked huge, he likely had over a full head on him.
Shredder said on 9/Nov/17
Mugshot
Editor Rob
it would be off as he's a bit closer the photographer so my head size is reduced.
Bobby said on 9/Nov/17
He was 6'2.5 peak height? I thought that was his current listing? Seeing Back to the Future more recently, I thought he looked too tall to be 6'2 only, and could look more 6'3 range. Christopher Lloyd also held up well with Thomas F. Wilson, looking to be almost the same height. I would venture to guess that Lloyd would have been even over 6'1 back in his 20s. Likely, by about half an inch.
MIncer said on 9/Nov/17
Rob, do you think it's possible he was closer to 6'3 back in the 80s?
Editor Rob
I think his peak is 6ft 2.5 range, that's what I had thought the last time I watched him in 80's and 90's tv/film.

Rob, how much would you say he weighs?

He's somewhere between 265-290 pounds today imo. BIG guy.
Danimal said on 8/Nov/17

He hasn't lost any height, at all? How old is he now? He looks around his 40s, possibly 50s.

You do realize that google can tell you his age in less time than it takes for you to wait for someone else to do the research for you, right? He's almost 60 years old and yes, he's probably lost at least 3/4"-1". You can see it in his neck.
Danimal said on 8/Nov/17
Put a 1985 version of him next to Rob and he would come out to 6'3". What's crazy is that he looks like the old version of himself from 2015 from Back the Future II.
Vexacus said on 8/Nov/17
Def. He has to be at least 6'2 .

People say men lose height after 40,Thomas hasn't lost much height at all.
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 8/Nov/17
I'd say 250lbs nowadays...In Back To The Future maybe 210lbs? He's trimmer but quite broad
spainmen192cm said on 8/Nov/17
Rob, so he looked more a flat 6ft2 than over it? Maybe a 6ft2 listing would be better?
Editor Rob
he might still measure 6ft 2 and a little fraction, I don't know if a half inch loss is certain for him.
Jordan87 said on 8/Nov/17
Could see right near 6'2" currently. Not sure if he Shrunk. PLayed a great aXXhole in the BTTF Movies. Seems like a nice guy in real life.
Jordan87 said on 8/Nov/17
Mincer,

Right now he would be around 250. Remember in his youth even he was a naturally large fella.
MIncer said on 7/Nov/17

He doesn't look like he's in his 40's , mid or late 50's , which he is.
Vibram said on 7/Nov/17
Looks around 6ft2.5 indeed. And yeah, he too reminds me of 1990's jocks that tormented me in college and university (his character Biff anyway).
Bobby said on 7/Nov/17

Editor Rob
I'd have guessed a possible fraction lost by late 50's, he still looked around 6ft 2.
Shredder said on 7/Nov/17
I wouldn't be shocked if he lost 0.5 at his age for his size
Nik said on 7/Nov/17
Yes, I am pretty confident that he is this height! He is possibly 6'2.75"!

taller than i excpected he really looks like abig guy. i thought he was a 188 cm guy from the back to the future movies but he can actually be/ been 189. but no taller wasnt he listed 6 foot 2 and 1/4 before?
Shredder said on 6/Nov/17
He is losing height in the pic as well , big guy as listed.
Johno said on 6/Nov/17
Did he do a Biff Tannen on you and get taller and taller as you both squared up because he looks pretty massive there.

His forehead looks large but is probably due to the high camera angle. He may be a 6.1.75 or 6'2 there so yeah, i can see him measure 6'2.5.

He was probably being truthful when he said 6'2 frame.
Editor Rob
he was pretty friendly that day from what I seen, far from Biff-like.

he still seemed around 6ft 2 that day.
Christian-6'5 3/8 said on 6/Nov/17
Looks 187-188cm

Considering that he seems to have a pretty big head and an eyelevel which looks a comfortable 5 inches range, he does look a genuine 6'2 here!

Rob , he really looked this tall?
Editor Rob
he is still quite a tall guy!
Bazza said on 31/May/17
I always thought this guy was 6'4 range from the BTTF movies but also thought Michael J Fox was more 5'6/ 5'7' than 5'4 so makes sense as he is around a lot of actors well under 6 feet tall so gives the illusion of being a lot bigger. Still tall mind.
Shredder said on 9/Jan/17
Saw a pic with a friend of mine that is close to 6'1 , he is still the listed height
kevin mask said on 7/Jun/16
@Rampage(-_-_-)Clover, well it's not hard to look gigantic in front of Michael J. Fox
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 9/Apr/16
I think he could have been near it in the 80's. He played a bully in the BTTF films, so they might've did some work to make him look towering.
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 7/Apr/16
Rob, how likely is 6ft3 peak?
Editor Rob
I think he could pull it off at times, but having watched those movies again, I am happy enough the current mark.
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 28/Jan/16
They made him look gigantic in Back To The Future. I was surprised to see 6ft2 range here for him.
I imagined he was 6ft4+ dude.

Rob, is 6ft2 flat possible since he claimed it or do you think he's downplaying it slightly?

I think 6ft 2-2.5 is more probable than 6ft 2.5-3 range.

Biff Tannen from the Back to the Future Trilogy

Listed as 6'3" on I MB D.

Could never really get a feel for his height due to the comparatively "shortish" cast and camera angles designed to make him look massively taller than Fox.

He looks like a pretty big guy, I always thought around the 6'2" mark.
D-boy said on 4/Dec/12
He was 6ft1 at his peak 6foot
Dave said on 27/Aug/11
Are we sure about this guys height. Check an early role in the Knight Rider episode " A Knight in Shining Armor". David Hasselhoff (6'4) has at least 5-6 inches on the guy. I mean he really towers over TFW. If he's really 6'3 then Hoff must be about 6'8.

6'2" sounds right. He could have been taller. Big dude. Easily a head taller than MJF
Big King said on 21/Apr/09
Well, I remember one website had him at 6'4" but there is no doubt that he could hit that height because he looked huge in Back to the Future. But I would describe him as a strong 6'3" guy. Maybe he could hit 6'3.5".
Anonymous said on 27/Mar/09
I would say 6'2.25, he had at least a head over Michael J Fox in Back To The Future.

He use to get listed as 6'3 . I think 6'2 is more around the mark .
