Only thing poor Tom had going for him that night was his lifts. A nice pic. I have to say the Gibson-pic is a favourite too. I felt too short all my life and have huge depressions because of this, it's just like hell! And i have seriously the idea to fly to japan or asia to make the hazardously operation, my friends say no because of the high risk of this operation (it can makes you invalid i think) but mental it hurts me like hell to live with my hight. this brings me to the next logical question though, because morning height is "claimable" (right word?) are the heights listed for all the celebrities morning heights? because i was just think thinking that it might be very confusing to list one person at their morning height, and anotehr at their evening.

Morning measures are differnet from evening measures. In the evening i am 2-3 cm shorter because of the gravitation force. Are you taking that into concideration when measuring celebrities? I also noticed that your site advertieses "grow taller products". Do they really have effect or not? Thanks.

That's possible Glenn I actually often wake up late in the afternoon like you do sometimes as late as 4 PM and if you add that to the fact thta I usually wear 1.5" shoes I guess I could have had a 1 inch advantage in footwear and when I woke up but I don't see anything over 5-5.5 for Bruce. Scott Ian looks 5-5 max to me. I could have sworn Bruce was only 5-4 because my forehead is atleast 3.5 to 4 inches and like I said I am 5-7 3/4. His head didn't really seem above my forehead. My shoes add about 1.5 inches so there is a good chance he could have had just as big shoes. As far as Bruce shrinking, I'm not sure because even though he is in his late 40's he is very healthy. He always looked 5-4 or 5-5 max to me.

glenn, you seem to the expert around here and theres a question thats been on my mind for a long time. after looking through many of posts, it seems that you are 5'8 in the morning, fresh out of bed (correct me if im wrong) and then during the day you shrink down. Well, I am 5'10 in the morning, and likewise, i shrink down to almost 5'9 by days end. I have always wondered what height I should claim, as it makes perfect sense to claim morning height, but then say i was arrested in the afternoon and had my picture taken in a line up...wouldnt the picture say i was 5'9? what are you throughts? any insight would be greatly appreciated.

No way is Bruce 5'6 1/2. I am 5-7 3/4 in the morning/5-7 1/2 midday and Bruce's head was maybe a bit above my eyebrows when I met him so i think I had close to 4 inches on him. Although I do wear fairly big shoes which make me 5-9 or 5-9 1/4 depending on the time of day but still Bruce doesn't seem over 5-5 to me and maybe as short as 5-4.

Glenn considering all of the great metal bands that will be in the NY area over the summer are you going to any of the concerts? I never miss my favorite bands when they come to NY and I already have some tickets to a Maiden show aswell as I'm going to get some to the Heaven And Hell, Judas Priest, Testament and Motorhead show.

I've met some guys in those bands I saw Dio at around 5-3ish maybe a weak 5-4 and Dickinson looked shockingly short at 5-4 max. Is it possible Dickinson is 5-4 barefoot? In the remastered booklet for Number Of The Beast he is standing next to his bandmates and he looks atleast 3 inches shorter than Harris, Murray and Smith.

Back in the 80's when a record label wanted her to sing with Ozzy Osbourne for charity but refused acting like she was better than Ozzy and Ozzy wasn't good enough to record some song with even for charity. Hay glenn I remember watchin this programe which aired over here in the UK in 2007 and it was about really tall people at the upper end of 6ft, in the 7+ region and there was even one guy who lived in Eastern Eurpoe that was 8ft4. To the point it was quite funny becasue there was this documentry on this really tall guy who lived in London who thought he was 7ft5. Although in the programe the guy was miffed that he was measured at the doctors as being 6ft10 lol so basicly he thought he was a lot taller than he was, although heaven knows why he would want to be in the 7ft+ area since 6ft10 is far too tall.

Glenn: a couple of months ago I wrote in this site some data about Height Average per country, including Argentina (my country). You, very kindly (as usual), thanked me and expressed your surprise about Argentina´s average (the information said 5´8" for males, being that you thought it was taller). That´s why I continued to investigate about it, and found out the infomation about Argentina wasn´t 2008 updated, but 1999 updated. The real 2008 average is 1.74,4 cm. (5´8.7"). Sorry for my mistake.

artic monkeys and mraz are the kind of artists i meet,but i have no clue with those names.i think i saw jesse malin the other night from d-generation standing next to 5-11 tom morello who i never saw before.morello was tough to peg.5-10.5 to 5-11.5. depending on the time of day.i saw him a few times that day.he was at least a half inch or more taller than 5-10.5 slash who was also standing there.no pics that night.

senn-im not sure how to answer that.ive seen 6-8 to 7ft basketball players,at least i think it was that range.and peter mayhew did seem 6-10,6-11 with horrible posture.7-2 peak i guess.the one that shocked me also on the same day was dawn of the dead director george romero who was 6-4.5,6-5 with the slouch! so i say 6-6!

Glen, I've noticed you mentioned anxiety only a couple of times (another time regarding Mel Gibson). Do you suffer from that? I think you mentioned that you do irregular hours at times and that is probably going to be a major reason for jitteriness (not getting regular sleep). You body will be over-producing adrenaline to keep you awake when you want to sleep. All stimulants (including activating your own adrenaline) should be avoided if you suffer from any type of anxiety. I'm sure with regular hours you would feel fine after a while.

i dont have problems with getting will,cause i never ask.i have a few photos with him when he wasnt as known.i could care less about getting his autograph.i never cared for his work.its the way i see him ignore peoples requests that sickens me.be grateful for the sucsess.unless all these nasty celebs have anxiety,which i doubt,cause they wouldnt be able to work as well,then they should be careful when the time comes nobody wants their autograph.i have the magazine at home too.thanks for the info anyway.anxiety isnt good in crowds or social situations.i think mel gibson and people of the world over numb themselves with alchohol or drugs for that.but thats another subject im might in the mood to get into further.could explain the behavior of some celebs.i know now,but not then,i wouldnt be able to handle fame.i dont think.

Glenn you previously said you had some problems getting autographs or pictures with the actor Will Ferrell. Well here is some interesting information I found from the actors biography on the internet.

In 2007 Autograph magazine named Ferrell the worst celebrity autographer. Its editor stated "What's so frustrating about Will Ferrell being the worst autograph signer this past year is that he used to be so nice to fans and collectors, and a great signer. What makes him so bad is that he'll taunt people asking for his autograph."[21] In response, Ferrell has stated "I don't know how I got on the list. I sign a lot of autographs", but has admitted to taunting autograph-seekers: "I do. I really do. I'm like, 'How badly do you want this autograph?' 'Are you sure?' Glenn, I will contact you via Email. What I wanted to add here - isn't it weird how many celebrities, but also showbiz people in general are short? I remember seeing the founders of Dreamworks SKG - Jeffery Katzenberg, David Geffen and of course Steven Spielberg on some photos, and Steven - not tall by any stretch of the imagination - was the tallest of them. Of course there's a Michael Crichton, but for every Crichton, there seem to be 10 Cruise(r)s.

But did you gauge the rest of the band member's heights from seeing them on stage with him? Cause King tends to wear heeled boots while performing, they look to give him at least 2 inches and i thought the other members would of been a little taller. I've been listening to metal for about 11 years and im 20. Mostly King's stuff but i also like a lot of thrash, death metal and stuff from the 80's. Also go to a lot of nyc shows too when good bands are around.

acg-your one of my main guys here.you can call me a fat asshole and i would never get mad at you.serious.when i said morning height or did i ever say that?,i meant waking height.i wake between 1pm and 4pm. 4pm in the colder weather for some reason and 2pm usually in the warmer.i go to sleep between 5am and 8am.usually 6am.and i sleep around 7 hours a day.once in awhile 8 hours.some of my friends or people around me think i sleep 12 hours a day.i dont.i know functional people with great backgrounds that do though,and that mystifies me.if i sleep 8hrs30min which does happen on rare occasion,i cant sleep the next morning.as to how this affects my height or how i almost came off topic,i dont know.maybe this does affect my height.rob might know.but yes,i was always aware that it would affect celebrity heights photos i take.but im not sure by how much or at all,and what are we to do? it isnt a fukin science.but my eyes are accurate enough.my stories and perceptions of height are valuable to the site and i realise that.and alot here do too.but alot of people here take me for granted.
