IMO Glenn is/was not 100% sound in the head. He did mention his anxiety but I think it goes deeper than that. This would also explain his chaotic professional and personal life situation. It's a common trait among nutjobs that they can't make either one of these two function. As much as I'm inclined to hate Glenn for what he has done I also feel a profound pity for the man.

Rising Force - That is a good point you raised about Jenny's height. I had not realised Jenny lost up to one inch during the day. I don't have any problems with Glenn other than the fact that he inflated his height to 5'8" and called everyone who doubted it losers. It would have been a nice gesture on his part if he had said after the measurements something like, "sorry guys I thought I was 5'8" but I was wrong." If he had made a statment similar to that I doubt he would be getting many of the negative remarks he is now. I am prepared to conceed that he measured himself inaccurately when he thought he was 5'8", it could have been a genuine mistake although I doubt it, I think Glenn was just in denial. I was once in a similar position myself. Some years back I was at the doctors surgery when they took my height. I had always measued 5'7.5" in the morning and 5'7" later in the day, however, on this occasion at the doctor's surgery for some reason I measured 5'9". Deep down I knew it was a mistake but I went into denial and thought to myself, if the doctors measure me at that height it must be right and I went round saying I was 5'9" and people believed me because being very slim they thought I looked that height. Then one day I thought to myself if the doctor's surgery had measured me at 5'6.5" less than I actually was, I would probably have disregarded that measurement and stuck by my real daytime height of 5'7". I think this insecurity about height is quite common with males. At one time 5'8" seemed to be the cut off point, no guy of 5'6" would ever admit to being less than 5'8" and no guy of 5'4" would accept being less than 5'6" I don't think women have such insecurities.

Phil - There's nothing wrong with being 5'2. Its as far away from the average that 6'4 is, but in this heightist world we live in, 6'4 is somehow seen as 'better', which is why a lot of males, especially young males 5'7 and under are insecure and self conscious about their height. Rising, 5'7.5" is totally wrong for Glenns wakeup peak. Going by morning height is inaccurate, because (most people) lose height quickly after wakeup. Glenn laid out in the back seat to "ace" his "booking photo." Midday is the fairest IMHO. That would make Glenn a weakened 5'6.75 at his best to the 5'6.5 "close". He ruined this site. Almost 5'11 Stallone? 6'1 Willis? Kevin Connolly 5'5? Piven "looked" 5'9? RDJ 5'8? Go to the Emile Hirsch page - "I seen da top of Penns head." Emiles' bootwear must have been insane. Funny stuff.

Brad, how is he 5'7" peak when he measured OVER that once? Dylan, you're forgetting that Rob has measured Jenny as high as 5'9.25" and as low as 5'8.25" so it is possible to shrink an inch. I see no reason why Glenn couldn't go from 5'7.5" to 5'6.5".

How can Glenn be a security guard when he is so short?? In Denmark a 5-6.5 male gets ZERO street respect.
Most sec guards around here are 6-3+. The only one I know of who is as short as Glenn is the security guy at a mall in the other end of (my) town. I still remember the first time I saw him. I was like "WHAT THE F**K!!???" And then he looked at me and his expression was all like: "Yeah, I know..." Lol. No, but seriously. I actually think a guy that short invites to WAY more trouble than having no security at all!! I can just imagine the teenagers at the mall provoking this guy simply to see if they can start a fight with him! It's crazy. Back when I was in high school we had a math teacher who was only 5-6. We boys were around 13-14 yrs at the time and all we could talk about was which of the male teachers we thought we could mess with. Call it youthful optimism (and stupidity). Anyway, everyone were certain we could take this tiny math teacher. We had another male teacher who was 6-3 and 270 lbs (fat, but lots of muscle too). No one EVER thought about messing with him (or claimed that they could).

But isn't the point of the website to discuss celebs' heights? Now, on this page, people are getting a kick out of imagining Glenn sitting in front of his computer and feeling miserable/infuriated because he can't do anything about it. And we've also got some (pretty good, I must admit) imitations of Glenn. Is that really the goal of the website? If you're honest, you know it's not. Everybody is spitting at Glenn and mocking his insecurity.
Soon, you'll have new posters who weren't there when Glenn was around and they will all join the bandwagon and start mocking him, too. What's the result now? Glenn is still playing such a big role in this website, he doesn't have to be there and everybody is making him more important than he really is. We're in the exact same situation that Rob wanted to avoid in the first place.
I'm just saying: let's rise above this, and keep this site a useful site where one can debate without hard feelings.

Rising Force - I agree Glenn could be 5'7.25" out of bed but not a fraction over. The average person loses 1/2" some 3/4" I doubt anyone loses more than that. I am 5'7.5" on rising and by the time I go to bed at night I am 5'7" I never drop below 5'7" whether I have had a great day, a stressful day, a relaxing day or a day of heavy lifting. The mere fact that Glenn measured slightly below 5'6.75" in one of his photographs is proof enough to me that he is no more than 5'7.25" maximum, possibly even less.

It's pretty much impossible that Glenn isn't atleast 5'7.25" out of bed. Rob's correct when he says that Glenn is likley in the 5'7.5"-5'7.8" range out of bed. Glenn simply couldn't get to the hotel room quick enough to not lose 1/8 inch from his out of bed height and it's highly unlikely he recovered every fraction of his max height.

I tend to think that in many photos he didn't wear portmans because in some photos he looked shorter than in others. In every photo where the same celeb who took a picture with Glenn also took one at another time with Rob or Mamun, G looked shorter than Rob or Mamun compared to said celeb. G would get called out on it each time (and there were only a couple of instances like this) and then there would be an "explanation". I would think that this wouldn't've happened at all if G were always wearing portmans.

5' 7" average is his peak. He's no dummy, he got a hold of a car and was in it for 7 hours. He measures "peak" at around 5' 7" and then 7 hours later running around midtown with his bag of stuff he's 5' 6.5" or possibly under. What is so hard to figure out? You put on 7 hours lugging a bag from hotel to hotel, club to club then get snapped, you measure less than the peak. Remember that garbage he spewed that he was "so busy" for that time of measuring. He wasn't busy at all....he had that car and 7 hours to prep for his measure. "Experiment"? No, it was avoiding the 5' 6.5" which would have been reality if he was busy since 9 A.M.. Hey Dylan, he was "up" for 15 minutes. Hey Bam, he never "thought", he "knew". When you are a flat 5' 6.5" coming in at 1 A.M. after sig hunting, you aren't close to 5' 8" to begin with.

Tellem is correct. Based on most of the evidencet he safest height estimate for Glenn's average height is 5'7" because we know for a fact he can measure taller or shorter. I'd bet money that he does drop down to 5'6.5", but that he wakes up at atleast 5'7.5" which would once again make him on average, 5'7".

Rob, i don't get this. This page has turned into a giant lapidation scene. Ok the guy is concerned about his height, he's 5'6.75" and wishes he was 5'8". Big deal! The vast majority of people visiting this site have a weird relationship with their height as well. Why single out one person and make him the laughing stock of the celebheight community? It's clear that he personally hurt you, but I don't see the point of getting your revenge publicly like this. You took out all his photographs with celebs, so there's no way he can mislead anyone now. My suggestion is: close this page for comments, put him at 5'6.75" and sum up the whole story yourself on it. And let's move on. Please show some class.

Brad - Good post. I think that was why Rob eventually had to get rid of him because the whole site was being arranged to satisy Glenn's 5'8" height fantasy, it became a total farce at the finish. By giving Glenn is own page Rob unintentionally created a monster. Glenn, as you say wanted everyone banned who even hinted that he might be less than 5'8", in retrospect what I find quite ironic is that even when the photographs were shown, he still insisted he was 5'8" and that the photos of him were just taken at the wrong time after a long arduous day, for some unknown reason Rob only reduced his height to 5'7.5" even after the photo evidence. Rob, in my opinion was being generous to Glenn by saying he was photographed at 5'6.75" and 5'7.25" he was barely over 5'6.5" and nothing over 5'7". Then one day we see Rob has reduced Glenn's height to 5'7" (still generous when you consider Rob only has himself listed as 5'8") and there is no Glenn. Did Rob have to ban Glenn in order to list him somewhere close to his real height? Or did Rob just get fed up with Glenn insisting all celebs were taller in order to his own fanatasy height? I doubt if we will ever know for sure. I just think it is a pity that someone who contributed so much to this site in the early stages could not have just been a man and accepted his true height. After all he couldn't help being 5'6.5" anymore than Brad could help being 6'5" or whatever. Those are the cards that were dealt, you just have to accept it and get over it.

You've got a 5' 9" Stallone (in effect) handing him his lunch. Under his photo it said "5' 8" Glenn". It even said that under the "young Glenn" photo which made Glenn very happy. That photo caption was changed later on. 5' 8" was a stone joke as I said to him 100 times. 5' 7.5" was equally a farce. 5' 7" is peak height after getting up out of bed or a Volvo. 5' 6.5" is dead on for 7 hours later getting snapped. He wore Portmans which wrecked any logical height judging anyway. Like sandals/sneakers versus those monsters. I'll bet on Porty. Just look at him above with Rob. Yes Eton, that's reality. No disrespect to Glenn but he was measured a mere fraction over 5'6.5" and at his highest 5'7", Now Rob is 5'8.75" first thing and he has stated himself that he measures 5'8.25" after a day of heavy lifting, yet he lists himself as 5'8". My question is, if 5'8" is good enough for Rob why can't 5'6.5" be good enough for Glenn?

This is so frustrating. Brad, amongst others, tagged Glenn's height correctly at 5' 6.5" a long time ago, without the advantage of a stadiometer, using nothing more than good observation and plain commonsense. Fast forward to the year 2009, when a stadiometer confirms that Glenn is indeed just one-eighth of an inch above 5' 6.5", as evidenced here: Click Here all of the Glenn photos taken in Rob's hotel room, I see a slight rotational tilt in the camera which raises Glenn's side of the photo slightly, plus his head is tilted backwards in every shot, raising his chin and thus raising his eyeline significantly. Take account of those two factors and he is clearly seen to be no taller than 5' 6.5" The evidence is there for all to see, yet Glenn remains listed at a misleading and hopelessly optimistic and inaccurate 5' 7", and that anomaly calls into question the credibility of the whole site. Yes, I know it's only a fun site but we should strive for some level of accuracy too.

Glenn is a subject of a funny story. When I first discovered this site in 2005 Glenn was starting to publish his celebrity photographs, for some reason I never believed his 5'8" claims, he just didn't look it. He made some celebrities look much taller than they actually were, but of course I never met them, so I just thought so without any proof. I've been visiting here off and on since 2005 and it's very funny that Glenn has been officially debunked. I always thought he was kind of a d#&chebag (forgive me) and I consider someone like Frank2 a much more reliable source, mostly because he isn't a douchebag and doesn't have a height complex like Glennie boy.

For almost every celebrity Glenn saw, chop off an inch and a half/two inches of whatever he estimated them at. Glenn sees Colin Farrell and Kevin Bacon at 5'11. Everyone else sees them at 5'8.5/5'9 tops. Glenn sees Stallone and Johnny Depp at 5'10. Most others see them at 5'8,5'9. The celebs Glenn claims are 5'8 (Christian Slater, Mark Wahlberg, Axl Rose, Eddie Van Halen, Fred Durst, and many more) are probably 5'6-5'7 like he is. Glenn didn't think he shrunk 2 inches in a day, he thought that was possible because Danimal claimed he did once. Glenn thought he shrunk from 5'8" to 5'6.5" on a really bad day. Which isn't that crazy of a belief, maybe it's a stretch but going from 5'7.5" or 5'7.75" right of out of bed to 5'6.5" on a tough day is believeable. I'm pretty sure I've shrunk 1 1/8 inches before when I was doing very physical working and only sleeping 2-3 hours unless I measured myself incorrectly.

the portman photo is a little dark. so i lightened it up a bit..... and wow am i shocked.

In better lighting glenn is seen standing easily 6'6. But upon closer inspection i see that he is sporting at least 4 inch lifts. So i am officially changing my opinion of glenns height to a strong 6'2 barefoot. and about 6'5 or 6'6 in his lifts.

Metric - I agree. When Glenn was first on this site his contributions were really beneficial, he was a little bit touchy but nothing to speak of. I think his real aggression started after Rob gave him his own page after that it seemed as if he pulled all the strings on here. There is absolutely no way Glenn could be close to 5'8" in the morning and then be under 5'7" in the evening. A full inch of height loss due to daily factors? Sorry, but that doesn't fly.

As a frame of reference, I decided to diligently measure my height change during the day just to see how much it fluctuated. My gf measured my height straight out of bed at just a tad over 5'10". (Maybe 1/8 inch above) In the evening, after being on my feet all day, I was measured again at 5'9.75". Given a slight margin of error, my height fluctuated by barely a 1/4 of an inch. For Glenn to be 5'8" in the morning and then under 5'7" in the evening is a trick only ET could have managed with his telescoping neck.

My suspicion, based on extrapolation of my own height change, is that Glenn is barely 5'7" in the morning and then drops down to 5'6.75" in the evening. As per Rob's measurement. A 1/4 inch height change is about the most that I can see occurring in someone in the lower end of the height spectrum. I can imagine taller folks changing more radically; but that is relative.

Rising Force - I feel ridiculous disagreeing with you over a mere 1/4" however, if we are to get real here, I think Rob was a tad generous when he stated the measurements he took of Glenn. He was basically 5'7" in one photo and a fracton over 5'6.5" in the other, he probably achieved the 1/8" extra by pushing himself upwards as Frank2 suggested he was doing in that photograph. Now before you say it, yes I am speculating but I honestly think a more realistic assumption would be maximum 5'7.25" minimum 5'6.5" based on the evidence we have seen. I do not believe anyone unless they have some kind of back problem (as one poster on here indicated he suffered from) loses more than 3/4" in the course of the day, in fact I think the majority like myself only lose 1/2" whether they have had a heavy day or not. If any posters disagree with me then by all means say so, I am only going by personal experience and by other people I have spoken to.

But I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt. But I was always confused with his pics since I have come across some of the folks he took photos with and I knew they didn't quite appear as tall as they seemed next to an alleged 5.8" Glenn. The Stallone one was the most telling for me since I actually met Sly when I was vacationing in Miami. He was on the beach and barefoot so I got a very good gauge of his height. My gf at the time said he appeared shorter than me (I am just under 5'10"); but in Glenn's pic, he looked 5'10". So now it all adds up. That supposed 2 inch height advantage I saw in the Sly-Glenn photo was real but the lower height was 5'6.5" (and change); NOT 5'8".

Ya know, it's funny, I remember a number of occasions Glenn stated his ideal height would be 5'10, because he wasn't into the idea of "being too tall." That was when he thought he was 5'8, so an additional two inches from his perceived height. So I guess Glenn really meant 5'8.5"-5'9" would be his ideal height?

I still find it hilarious that some people consider the idea of Glenn being 5' 8" in the morning. He was 5' 6.69" at 5: 30 pm. Imagine at 10 pm; 5' 6.5". A short man will NOT lose 1.5" in a day. The AVERAGE man loses 0.7".

been a while since ive been on and this is still raging away! lol, I think Glenn is 5'7.25" Morning , 5'7" flat most of the day and then 5'6.75 - 5'6.5" in the evening. We just dont know his average height loss, I start at 5'8" and end at 5'7" ( but this is with 9 hour shifts in a physical job 5 nights a week so I might lose less than that sometimes, I honestly dont know ) So I guess Glenn COULD lose a whole inch similar to myself and Rob, but with those measurements, it is hard to believe Glenn could ever hit 5'8" at any stage, the tallest Glenn could ever hit is 5'7.75" but that would need him to undergo a full inch height loss which is common but not definite by ANY means.

I think one poster has hit the nail on the head. If we cannot agree on a guys height that's been measured 3 times and is standing barefoot next to the editor who's measured himself a 1000 times what chance of any of us agreeing on a Celebs height, but I guess that is what makes this site so entertaining.

If Rob was 3 inches taller than Glenn, Glenns eyeline would line up against Rob's mouth. They don't, they line up somewhere against Rob's nose. Glenn is 1.5
-1.75 inches shorter. Eyes to bottom of nose = 2 inches. Height is personal to people - some are very height conscious and other don't give a stuff. A girl I work with told me once she was 5'7 - More likely closer to 5'7 and 7/8 but she said 5'7 - anyone height conscious would say 5'8. Both are technically correct...she lookes a solid 5'8 to me.

Rob says there is 1.6" difference between himself and Glenn, as measured. 5' 7" listing is generous for Glenn, since we don't use morning/near morning heights on this site. 5' 6.75" would be more accurate. Perhaps 5' 6.5" even, inline with Rob's listing.

Brad - As a matter of interest I looked up what Frank2 stated and he is absolutely correct when he says you should maintain an upright posture without forcing yourself up when being measured and if you stretch yourself then this is not your true height. Whilst I agree that Glenn was stretching himself in those photographs, I also believe Tom Cruise does exactly the same in almost all of his photographs, therefore if you feel Glenn is under 5'7" surely you cannot still believe Cruise is 5'8"? Fairs fair!

Because it's a false height. People aren't as tall as when they stretch themselves up as Glenn is doing. I went to an orthopedic doctor because of a disc problem and he explained it to me. If someone stands erect, but doesn't force themselves upward to reach an imagined height, then that's their correct height. To stretch is false. Perhaps this is why I tend to see everyone as being shorter since in the early morning if I measured myself and did everything in my power to make myself taller, I'd be closer to six feet. But it's not correct.

I am f***ing sick and tired of people here saying I upgrade "everyone". Yes, I do think Cruise, Glenn and Stallone are underlisted. Big friggin' whoop.

However look at the Ryan Seacrest and Gerard Way pages- for just two examples. Ryan is listed as 5'7.75 and I strongly believe he isn't even a fraction of a hair over a flat 5'7 on a good day, quite possibly under. And as for Gee, he is listed as 5'7, but many people on his page think he should be upgraded to 5'9. I, on the other hand, think 5'7 may even be too high and I see 5'6 as a more likely scenario.

Do me a favor. Take out a ruler or tape measure and look at how long two inches is. Then three. I have one in my hand. Two inches is the width of two fingers. Glenn is obviously stretching himself upward while Rob is relaxed. If I stand and stretch myself up as far as I can go, I measure almost 5'11.5". But that's not an accurate measurement as my doctor told me. I see at minimum, two and a half inches. That means depending on what shoes each man wore, Glenn is 5'6.5".

Plus devoting a page to Glenn is pretty silly.

Fact is that in the afternoon to evening period, Glenn is in the 5' 6.5" - 5 6.75" range. So putting a caption of 5' 8" next to celeb pics is very misleading.

Put it this way, if Rob puts a caption at 5' 8", and is 1.6" taller than Glenn, then you do the math. To be consistent with that, Glenn is 5' 6.5".

I figured it out the first day I came to this site and saw Glenn getting creamed by a 5' 8.5" Stallone and "5' 8" Glenn" captioned under it. I laughed outloud. At just under 5' 11" and shoes the guy is near 6' 1" everywhere with his posture. Bozo laugh. He was 5' 6" flat on the "young Glenn" and a bit more in the left photo. Correct Frank2, Willis at 6' 1" and Sly at just under 5' 11" were pathetic attempts to make himself tall. Correct bam, around 5' 7" at Bronx up at 4 P.M. or car sleep all day. A short man like Glenn would struggle to lose even 0.7" in a day, which is average. If you're hitting 5' 6.69" before 6pm, forget about a fantasy of 5' 7.5-5' 7.75" in the morning. He will hit 5' 6.5" at night.

Rob hits 5' 8" at height and he's 1.6" taller than Glenn. This backs my 5' 6.5" for Glenn in the evening. And is consistent with 5' 6.69" at 5:30 pm.

He's, as Rob says, is pushing his height to the max in his photo. Look at the G man going wild over "Glenn yer gonna measure under 5' 7" bud"....even Rob said he'd be surprised if he measured under 5' 7.5". Look at him with Iron Maiden, that's a never at 5' 8" in his lifetime and a 30 year stretch attached hoss. Rising sounds like Glenn's P.R. assistant, "close enough to 5' 8"" is Glenn language.
