He was at comic con this past July and my friend who is 5'3 got a pic with him. He is leaning down to be close to her level and he is still taller.

So I would most definitely peg him at at least 5'10.5 to 5'11 max. He always did seem "tall medium" to me.

Rob, one last point on this. If Tyrese was between 5-10 to 5-11, I don't think that my "friend" would have lost the job. One inch or a little over does not destroy the set up of the camera frame. Once it gets to 2 inches, the frame is messed up, and the stand-in cannot be used. It was the Assistant director and the stunt director who decided that my friend was too tall to frame the shotas accurately. They work with Tyrese daily, and they would know how tall he is. If 5-11.5 is "too tall", then it would seem that Tyrese was no more than 5-10, if not a little under. Rob, give me one more response to this.

[Editor Rob: yes, I understand your point and from a director's perspective it makes sense. 5ft 10 is hard to imagine from all the photos of this guy...]

The other way to possibly tell about Tyrese is this new movie coming out this week with Marky Mark and others called The Four Brothers I think. Tyrese is one of the brothers, and I am sure that he was cast because we know that Markei Mark is around 5-7 to 5-8, so they would only cast him with actors who are near his height. The hard part will be figuring out who wears big boots with lifts!

Rob, yesterday a "friend" of mine was called to the studio as a possible stand in for Tyrese on his next picture. When my "friend" arrived, he was asked to stand up and the assistant director told him that he was probably "too tall" to stand in for Tyrese. Another director came past, and said that he and Tyrese were the same height, so he stood back to back with my "friend". There was at least a 2 inch difference. My "friend" is 5'11.5", so according to the director of his next film, Tyrese would be about 5'9.5". It looks like my "friend" won't get the job. What do you think of that Rob?

Ya know, Rob, I think you may actually be downgrading a celeb. Tyrese truly does look 6'0"-6'1" everytime I see him. I'm looking for some pics of him where he could look under 6 feet and I've come unfounded so far. That Morgan Freedom pic is possibly deceiving because Tyrese isn't standing up straight in it.
