I remember seeing him in Godard's Alphaville in which he looked ca. 4 inches shorter than Eddie Constantine who is around 5'9" if I'm correct.

Wow. I just saw a pic of a old movie poster from the 20's or 30's featuring this guy. Have no idea how tall he was, but interesting to stumble on his name here, none the less...cheers.

Nope. He was about 5'4".

[Editor Rob: certainly in O11 Dean had a good amount on him...but yeah, 5ft 5 I can see and would give him that now, but really, as low as 5ft 4 though? I know he looked short, but that short...]
