I stood right next to him @ a DNC function in 1993. I am 5' 10.5" and was looking right at his bald spot! I was surprised he wasn't taller. Maybe 6' in shoes but probably about 5' 10" barefoot.

Saw him recently standing next to my 5'9" friend, and was barely 3 inches taller with similar footwear, I think 6ft even is where he's at.

I saw Al Gore in person over 10 years ago and he was going to a Broadway show surrounded by secret service and onlookers. He looked no more than 6 feet even, shorter than all the guards around him, and he had a big bald spot.
