Clinton was 46 at the time and Gore was 44, so they couldn't lose anything yet. Clinton seemed taller than Gore but I'm not sure there was a full inch of difference between them. Another photo from 1993: Click Here

I've seen him up close and thought he looked a decent 6ft, so stretching up for a measurement today 6'0.5 seems fair and peak 6ft1 looks absolutely plum. Great listing.

I stood right next to him @ a DNC function in 1993. I am 5' 10.5" and was looking right at his bald spot! I was surprised he wasn't taller. Maybe 6' in shoes but probably about 5' 10" barefoot.

I saw Al Gore in person over 10 years ago and he was going to a Broadway show surrounded by secret service and onlookers. He looked no more than 6 feet even, shorter than all the guards around him, and he had a big bald spot.
