I think Alam was closer to 7'9 in here (he could have been growing a bit more after his Record listing). I do see exactly 6 inches of advantage with Kareem, and Kareem looks more like 7'3 than 7'2.

I've met and stood next to a 7'7 inch basketball player from my former high school. He was quite famous several years ago playing college basketball at UNC Asheville. I believe he may have been the tallest player in NCAA history, along with Manute Bol. Do a search for him. Kenny George
