Not quite Dmeyer. This guy isn't looking 6f at all these days. In 30 Rock he wears lifts which give him nearly 2 inches. He looked barely 6ft next to 6ft2.5 Will Arnett but then theres a scene when Baldwin and Arnett go jogging and Arnett towers over him by 3-4 inches.
Aswell Baldwin is noticeably shorter than his two younger brothers. I'd say barefoot Alec is 5ft10.5.
But for good measure I'll give him 5ft11 flat. But no more than that. But I will say that in the late 80's when Baldwin's career in Film & TV he could pass for 6ft. But he was slimmer back then. Hugh, I'm not confuting your comment, but as I mentioned, I saw the guy about 11 years ago, although I do have quite a good recollection of that. He had a minimum of two inches on me, and as I also said, I'm a flat 5'10 without footwear, and was, on the day, in stuff that lifted me to about half an inch below the 6 feet mark. The difference could of course be down to what he was wearing, then again, I did not really look at his feet, so it's a hard call to make. It is a possibility that, in the intervening decade, he's lost an inch or so.
For my part, I'm still in my mid-thirties and if I have lost any height at all, it wouldn't be more than a couple of millimetres at most. Lenad says on 6/Jun/09

I judge an actor's heighby movie shots in crowds and when alone. If an actor is shot alone walking through a door he is unlikely to bother with wearing lifts. Baldwin in Heaven's Prisoners looks to be about 5'6". George Clooney also looks very short in his recent post war Germany movie.

Doug I'm sorry I respect your claims overall but I have to diagree with you here. Baldwin is not 6ft and I don't think he's 182cm either. This listing is too much. He's 5ft11 MAX. he's 3 inches shorter than both of his brothers and looks no taller than Kevin Spacey in Glengarry Glenross and is getting owned by Sean Connery in Hunt for Red October. He's 50 now so he's likely to have lost 1cm. Doug also you are forgetting Stephen Baldwin who isn't quite 5ft10. So 2 out of 4 of the Baldwin Brotehrs are under 6ft. William Bladwin and Daniel Baldwin I'll admit are both well over 6ft. On 30 Rock he looks 5ft10-5ft11 tops. So I personally think he's barely 5ft11 today. Maybe in shoes he's close to 6ft. I met Alec in New York several years ago. He was doing Macbeth with Angela Bassett, who was fantastic! After the show, we were hanging around, and he came out of the theater to bring back in Angela to speak with an older lady. I'd agree with that James! Yeah it's only a 0.5 inch, but it does seem to start to seperate the above average from those who really "stand out" from the rest of the pack. Personally I know the average in the use is debated at between 5ft9.25-5ft10, but I consistently see more and more guys my height(5ft11.75 out of bed/5ft11.25 the majority of the day) these days, which makes me wonder how accurate that figure is. On screen a 5ft11-6ft1 guy looks fairly tall, but doesn't stand out the same way a guy like Hugh Jackman(6ft2.25) does. Ed(1) says on 19/Nov/08
That's true James, guys like Ford and Travolta looked fairly tall in the 1970's! As the years have gone by they've both come to look more in the above average range, then say the way they did in films like Star Wars, Apocalypse Now, Grease, and Saturday Night Fever. If you've ever seen any of Baldwin's early films like The Hunt for Red October, Beetlejuice, and Glengarry Glen Ross he gave the impression of a solid 6ft guy, especially because he was a lot skinnier back then.

As for Ford, I still don't know what to make of him, he looks all of 5ft11-6ft tops in most of his films from the 80's on, but he's been listed at and seen as 6ft1!
To me Baldwin fits in with this group perfectly as an above average height guy! Guys like Leo Dicaprio, Jake Gyllenhaal, Christopher Walken, Edward Norton, Denzel Washington, and John Travolta all fit into this category as well in my opinion. They don't come across as really tall on screen or in pictures, just above average! Guys like Clive Owen, Eric Bana, and Hugh Jackman on the other hand look legitimately tall on screen! It seems that the 6ft2 mark is what really makes a male actor stand out as a tall presence, anything under that(unless the cast is really short) comes across as above average.

Good lord, you people who think you're getting these guys' heights down to the quarter inch by eyeballing them always kill me. Do you guys have any conception of how small a 0.25 inch difference is? A full INCH is the length of the tip of my index finger. Most people can't get someone's height correct even standing a few feet away from them. Shoes, slight changes in posture, uneven ground, distance, it makes a big difference fast. (Not to mention the comical nature of asserting that 3 inches difference in height equals "towering" over someone.)
This isn't a defense of Baldwin. I don't like the guy. But c'mon, time and again if I search for someone's height I find them listed on this site, and the comments are always the same. What I do not understand is why there is so little discussion in most of these threads about the fact that all actors lie about their height. They're in acting. It's what they do. They know - just as coaches and athletes do - that it's perfectly possible to fudge height by a couple of inches without people knowing for sure. Women get away with it because of their shoes, and because they are shorter than men - who generally don't care that much if a woman is 5'4 or 5'6 and don't pay that much attention. Men get away with it because it's an increasingly small difference versus other men as height increases, and because people are just bad at judging height within such a small range. An average man is 5 feet 9 inches tall, or 69 inches. Two inches is equivalent to less than 3% of his total height. Baldwin lists himself as 5'11. It's perfectly reasonable to assume he's 5'10. He may even be, at this point, slightly under 5'10. He looks like an average guy. Maybe an average guy doesn't impress, but he's certainly capable of being an average guy and still being a 'big' guy as well. Hugh says on 13/Oct/08

In Talk Radio,he appeared the same height as Eric Bogosian,who is listed somewhere as 5'11.5, and Alec looked this as well. Most people who are near 6' above or below it , are never really 6' on the mark. Remember that the six foot mark is just one cm. How many people can say for certain that they are right at the mark with normal footwear or flat, and many people who are 5'10 to 5'11 or a bit over will claim they are six, also many who are more like 6'.25 claim they are 6'1. I saw him walking down Broadway ave. in NYC last year --the first that came to mind, is that he was walking like he was in pain or feeling his age. Of course, I looked down to what type of shoes he was wearing, and they were these giant motorcylces shoes--with about 3 inches. He was walking a bit hunched over, and I intentionally walked towards the corner to the dismay of my girlfriend. So- I caught him at the light-- I am guessing about 5'9 or 5'10 in flat feet.
