Danimal says on 14/Nov/07
No, if it were for Brian, Cliff and probably Phil, this thing would have been released YEARS ago. Brian has said that the 3 Young brothers (George included) are REALLy hard headed and want this to be perfect. It's obvious the others are restless seeing they are touring without. Either that, or they're low on cash. glenn says on 14/Nov/07
i know,i was at that show in july.and went upstate for it too.there will be a box set of unreleased brian songs in the future cliff told me.as for a january release,id be surprised cause as of a month ago or so, they hadnt even started recording.january was originally a rumor.unless they just entered the studio.they had 50 songs in demo form 2 years ago and halted recording for some mysterious reason(or laziness).i gave cliff a peace of my mind for the wait even though it isnt his fault. Danimal says on 13/Nov/07
BTW Glenn, ACDC was last in NY in 2003. I heard they will be releasing their new album in January! Brian was in NY with Cliff in July performing some ACDC songs. Since Brian stopped smoking he sounds A LOT better than he has since 1991. He performed Back in Black with some serious power! glenn says on 12/Nov/07
cliff williams is 5-7,5-8.close to my height,if not my height.its an illusion with him bending and my straight as possible. Danimal says on 12/Nov/07
How tall is Cliff Glenn? He looks shorter than Phil Collins does compared to you in this pic. Kylee says on 10/Nov/07
Being short is awesome I'm only 4'9. Its cool that only one fan is shorter than Angus and thats me. I love Angus Young hes so hot. Its very cool being short its awesome "Hell Yeah." Hes ****ing awesome. There band is so cool!! xD says on 19/Jun/07
really? thats ****ing awesome! glenn says on 7/May/07
damn glenn says on 1/Apr/07
not that long ago? what? how long ago? they havnt promoted anything in 5-7 years.you mean a repeat? a phone in? as far as i know they havnt been to nyc since 2002.unless they are mastering the new album here.they do sneak the albums in.any talk of the new cd? Viper says on 1/Apr/07
It doesnt surprise me that Brian's voice is shot right now. That guy screams his heart out. Danimal says on 31/Mar/07
They were on Howard Stern not that long ago and yeah, Brian couldn't sing for @#$#@ anymore. glenn says on 31/Mar/07
yeah,20 years ago.i despised it.what a lazy band.havnt even entered a studio to record,at least not as of 4 months ago.they demoed 30 songs 2 years ago.what happened? gosh.5 years between albums at first, now 7.im sure itll be out by the end of the year i hope.they usually sneak it upon you too.if we are lucky, the summer.such a wait,it better be the double cd its rumored to be.i doubt it.nobody does doubles.hardly.and,its announced as their last.bummer.one rumor is that brians voice is shot. Viper says on 31/Mar/07
Maximum Overdrive is the ultimate cult classic 80s movie. I really thought Emilio Estevez looked 5-7 in it. Danimal says on 30/Mar/07
Did you ever see Maximum Overdrive Glenn? Who Made Who was the soundtrack for that movie. glenn says on 30/Mar/07
how can i forget about fly.i hated it.like it better now.loved razor.now find it too pop.yeah, fly is the worst.2nd would be stiff.the reason fly survives better than stiff for me at least is the memories it brings.i bought the albums out the box.starting with flick. Danimal says on 30/Mar/07
LEast good for me would either have been Fly On The Wall or the one just before Razor's Edge (mental block). My favorite is Let There Be Rock, Back in Black and Dirty Deeds.. glenn says on 30/Mar/07
i thought it was their least good album.alot of people did.gotta relisten to it.i hated ballbreaker.i like it now. Danimal says on 29/Mar/07
Hey Glenn, if you liked Powerage, then you probably like Stiff Upper Lip. glenn says on 29/Mar/07
all kinds of metal out there.i know alot of zeppelin doesnt sound like metal, but alot of it does.whole lotta love is a pretty heavy song for its time. Viper says on 29/Mar/07
You might be right Glenn. When I think of metal, I think of really fast playing. But I guess that would be categorized as speed metal. glenn says on 29/Mar/07
flick of the switch was their rawest with brian.my fave lp brian era is for those about to rock.bon era is powerage.heavy metal my friend.early, blues based hard rock, which is a term i hate.all hard rock is metal. glenn says on 29/Mar/07
yeah,d.i just look at it as people i know, and dont know have it way worst than we do. Viper says on 28/Mar/07
Comparing the Bon Scott era to Brian Johnson is interesting. The songs in the Bon Scott era were just great, dirty hard crunchy rock. The songs during the Brian Johnson era are great rock songs that flow perfectly and more accessible to the mainstream. Danimal says on 28/Mar/07
Yeah man, it's hard to find balance, huh? When things are going well, I always find a way to question it and end up screwing things up as a result. glenn says on 28/Mar/07
up and down.when im broke,im well mentally, when im doing good financially,im stressed in other ways.backwards.i cant win. Lmeister says on 28/Mar/07
AC/DC is the best band ever. When I was younger I used like Brian Johnson more, but nowadays prefer the old Bon Scott albums. My first hardrock album was the Razors Edge and I still love it... Danimal says on 27/Mar/07
Life sucked for the last 5+ weeks, but things are picking up lately. How you doin' man? glenn says on 27/Mar/07
how ya been d? Danimal says on 26/Mar/07
Riff Raff on If You Want Blood You've Got It is awesome! glenn says on 25/Mar/07
im more a brian johnson fan.but my favorite song is riff raff. glenn says on 25/Mar/07
bon was supposedly 5-6. Viper says on 25/Mar/07
Im rocking out to Shoot to Thrill right now. My favorite ACDC song. You can dance to this. sco B says on 25/Mar/07
seems about right, but height does not have much to do with it. I'm 5'7" an 16 and I still cannot play the blues solos like angus can. Yeah ACDC is a pretty short band. But they do rock hard and they do rock good. Bon was 5'5" right, he actually seemed pretty tall in a video on youtube.com with the valentines. Geoff says on 7/Mar/07
AC-DC appeared at our high school in Toowoomba about 1976 supported by TMG. Concerts were banned for about 20 years after that. glenn says on 25/Feb/07
correct.rudd,a tough photo to get,is 5-6. Edwin says on 25/Feb/07
R, yes, I believe Rudd is pretty small too, maybe 5-6ish? Cliff always looked "tall" compared to the others but apparently is in the 5-7 or 8 range. R says on 7/Feb/07
Havn't seen any mention of Phil Rudd, guess he is tiny also? Glenn says on 9/Jan/07
Yeah,he loves fans. Marty o says on 8/Jan/07
5'2 is about right. I met Angus in the mid-80s after a show. He was totally cool with signing autographs and BSing with the small group of fans. I respect that guy. LGT says on 31/Dec/06
Dwarf don't be an idiot! There are ways to calculate from pictures... Dwarf says on 1/Dec/06
If you see people on a picture, you can't say exactly what their high is! Ajax says on 5/Nov/06
I've seen many, many pictures of fans who've had their pictures taken with Angus Young. Never, never has Angus been as tall as or taller than the fan in the photo. Ever. I've been within 10 feet of him myself and I'd say he's 5'2", maybe 5'3" at the absolute most. Glenn says on 21/Oct/06
Powerage is my fave Bon LP. Marissa says on 20/Oct/06
It gives hope to us short people everywhere. I love AC/DC especially Powerage that was sweet. Glenn says on 17/Oct/06
I think Angus might be even smaller. Fergus says on 15/Oct/06
Ohh Shit Man!!! I cannot believe it Gleen, AMAZING!LOL... They`re my idols speacilly angus..and i was wondering if angus got more than 170...you know, i have problems to grow up and im taking medicines and this is a hope man..tall is nothing just shit Anonymous says on 28/Sep/06
I met Chris Slade (former drummer) in a pub once, pretty big guy in terms of build, probably about 5'10 or 5'11 though. Danimal says on 28/Aug/06
Most of those songs are recycled from earlier days, including their classic "Ride On" (Bon Era), but there are a couple of new songs for the soundtracks, mostly without lyrics though. Sink the Pink is great though! It was off of Fly on the Wall and btw, I loved that movie!! Scary it was not, but entertaining it was!! Especially when the soda machine spits out the cans and hits the guy in the head...lol. Viper652 says on 28/Aug/06
You would never think this band is so damn short. They are one powerful hard rock band with so many classics. Danimal, since you are a huge horror fan I bet you have seen that Stephen King movie Maximum overdrive. Its an over the top cheesy horror classic but the best thing about it is the whole soundtrack consists of ACDC songs. How cool is that? Danimal says on 27/Aug/06
Actually, Malcolm has states that his own height was 5'5" in one interview, which I found hilarious. I was willing to believe at one point that Angus WAS 5'3" and Malcolm 5'4", but not anylonger. Thing is, Cliff was no longer young in that pic with Glenn. I'm sure if he stood straight in that pic, he would have been only slightly shorter and take away 25 years (they don't take care of themselves) and he's at least 5'7", if not 5'8". Brian is shorter. Glenn says on 26/Aug/06
Now THAT is true Viper. Glenn says on 25/Aug/06
Not True.Malcom is 2 inches taller. Viper652 says on 25/Aug/06
ACDC is a midget band. Zig Zag Wanderer says on 24/Aug/06
I've been an AC/DC fan since I was three years old. I have read waaaayyy too many articles & interviews with these guys. Angus & Malcolm (according to both Angus & Bon) are the same height; 5'2". I've stood about four feet away from Angus, on the same level, & he's about the size of my leg. I don't think he gets enough to eat, peanuts or otherwise. Danimal says on 7/Aug/06
Brad said: "What do they eat down under? Peanuts, gum?" HAHAHAHAHA
Brad says on 7/Aug/06
Geez 5' 8" is 4 inches shorter than 6' and these guys are shorter than 5' 8"? What do they eat down under? Peanuts, gum? AC/DC Freak says on 24/Feb/06
Angus young is 5'2
in an interview on the guitar show he said so Bill says on 23/Feb/06
Malcolm seems to be 5' 3" Danimal says on 20/Jan/06
Yeah, they were all midgets...lol..That's right, Chris Slade was MUCH taller than the rest of them. He was the drummer in the Firm (Jimmy Page's project) and he was only slightly taller than Jimmy in some promo pics from what I recall..
Glenn, keep'em comin' dude! Glenn says on 19/Jan/06
all midgets.bon was even 5-6.every drummer they had was 5-5.except chris slade from the razors edge period.he was 6 feet!cliff is 5-7. Danimal says on 18/Jan/06
I have an old video of a concert from their Highway to Hell tour and on the back of the box, it states Angus's height as 5'3". I think he is probably 5'2", but NO way is Malcolm 5'5"...lol..
To answer your question A-Bomb, Cliff and Brian were the same height. I think it's possible that Cliff could have stretched out to 5'7" 25 years ago, when they filmed the Back in Black and You Shook Me all Night Long videos. So, Brian at his peak was probably 5'7" MAX. Next to Angus and Malcolm, Cliff and Brian always appeared to be giants. Simon Wright (ex drummer), Bon Scott (former singer) and all other members were all about 5'5"-5'6" as well, or shorter. Marc says on 18/Jan/06
Maxim magazine recently had the "Greatest Short guys". Young was listed as 5'2". I believe that he is actually 5'2". Look at his guitar when he wears it, because it seems kinda large for him. A-Bomb says on 18/Jan/06
How tall is Brian Johnson? I always figured 5'8" Danimal says on 18/Jan/06
I had NO idea that Cliff was this short as well. I thought him and Brian Johnson were about 5'7"-5'8". I was evidently WAY off!! Cliff is MAX 5'6 1/2". Bon Scott was apparently only 5'5"-5'6" as well. Did they go out of their way to hire short band members, or was it a coincidence? The funny thing was that I read an article on Malcolm, where he stated that he was 5'5". Based on that pic with Glenn, Malcom is about 5'2"-5'3" MAX. |
