Givve: yeah.. that is weird. I saw Ariel as a 5'11 guy.. he actually look shorter than james there. but at the same time in som interviews he can look taller than shogun.. and a smidge taller than dana. It's gonna be really interestin to see couture - toney staredown. I have couture at about 5'11.. I don't see him taller. haven't looked into toneys height that much.. are you sure he's 5'9?

My current height is 5'9 5/8" (I'm the guy in the pic with Ben)... Was 5'9.75" when this pic was taken (2 years ago). I've since gone from my high 220's to my low 150's. I'm barely recognizable today. Givve says on 12/Aug/10

Carwin already said countless times he is 6'2, Its ufc who has him 6'5 and people asked carwin hsi heigth that many times on hsi facebook etc he probably jsut gets fed up and is liek whatever etc, He also said he si barely 6'2 too so Probably more 6'1,

hey Clay.. Carwin claims 6'2.. Ariel helwani (the reporter) said to me that he himself was 6' and that carwin was 6'1.. but I actually belive carwin is only 6'.. look at him training with rashad for the rampage fight.. it could be the angle but he doesn't look more than 1-1.5 inches taller than "listed" 5'11 rashad.. and rashad himself looks pretty much gsp's height when they train together. UFC is really coming off like drunken sailors with their height listings. They have Carwin at 6'5 who is at most 6'2, Couture at 6'2 who is looking at most 6'0 these days, and this guy at 6'4 who looks like a legit 6'5. Narhanael says on 19/Jan/10

little off topic.. but you now when you think you got the heights down pretty good and then bam.. you seem two fighters together and your like.. what the !?.. anyway.. did anyone happen to see the backstage-video from the 1'st affliction show I belive.. anyway.. they follow fedors brother alexander and he talks to josh barnett and they are about the same height (barnett a smidge shorter.. he had just faught).. then he stops and talks to arlovski who belive it or not looks a smidge taller than alex.. then on numerous occasions during the video... who shows up.. wrestling star goldberg.. and he looks much shorter than these guys (alex and arlovski).. I thought goldberg was supposed to be about 6'3? goldberg can't be over 6'2.. and that is giving alex and andrei 6'4.. I belive andrei is even listed 6'3 sometimes. Clay says on 23/Nov/09

Look at the guys Fedor has fought lately, Lesnar would steamroll them just as impressively as Fedor did. Fedor VS Brock would be an amzing spectacle, we may never see it....but I wouldn't know who to bet on. That 50 pound weight advantage for Lesnar is too much to just overlook.

I'm more than 175 cm. I'm rarely below 176 cm. In that pic I was at least 177cm and have been as high as 178cm in the morning. BTW, I've dropped 64 pounds since that pic was taken last June. Matt says on 30/Mar/09

The difference in punching power between most MMA fighters and boxing champions is vast. Boxers have a more compact and precise punch. 1988 Tyson with 4 oz gloves would not even need a head punch. He would be breaking ribs right and left. He could probably almost ko someone even while on his back. Lesnar showed extreme power can still trump MMA skills
Lesnar is a world class wrestler though and had been training in kixk boxing for 2 years before he stepped foot in the UFC.
Not to mention the fact that Fedor is 6'0'' 235lbs and would trump Lesnar without an issue. |
