Elle was so tall that I looked like Bubbles the Chimp next to her, and I realized this was just not going to work. I never really think about how tall a person is, because when you look at someone, if you look in their eyes, you're not thinking, Boy, look at how big she is. I'm five seven and never knew I was so height-challenged until I saw those pictures -- after that, people just assumed I was a dwarf.

He has a half brother who is much, much taller than him. They have the same dad. Apparently his dad is from Germany and moved back to Europe in 1957 where he had his second son, who is a famous classical conductor. He is definitely much taller than Billy by 5-6 inches. Must’ve been his mom that gave him the height.

5´7 is a really big claim for him. He have neever looked taller than 5´6 in his whole life and is probably about the listed height. Shania twain was a bit taller than him in heels easy. Lets do the math here she is 5´3 and had 4 inch heels that made here 5´7. he is tihs height and had shoes that gave just over 1 inch that made him 5´6 1/2. Yeah that seems pretty mutch true she had atleast half inch on him.

There was always an enormous giveaway that Billy was a little guy because he went out with tall model girls. However, I would have expected to see about an inch more for him.

Most guys who are 5'4 to 5'6 stopped growing between 13 and 15 years old thats why its not funny to mock short people many people would be short if they stopped growing that early i.e. Daniel Radcliffe aka Harry Potter thats just most famous example.

Saw Billy and Elton in concert in Omaha a few weeks ago. I noticed that Elton had a few inches on him when they were standing side by side. Elton is 5'7.

I had my photo taken with Billy 3 imes when he toured Australia last December. Im 6ft 1/2 inch exactly mid afternoon. By loking at my photo I would say 5-5 is spot on for BilyJoel. I expected him to maye be shorter.

In a People magazine article from 1977 his height is listed as 5 foot 8. I think that's an exaggeration or wishful thinking. He may have been 5'7" in his 20's, but I doubt if he was any taller. My cousin's husband saw him in person at the Nassau Coliseum with Christie Brinkley (sometime in the late 80's). They were walking down the hallway and he (cousin's husband) recognized them both. He said that Billy was "a little guy." He also said that Christie was tall and beautiful (no surprise there). My guess is he's about 5-5 or 5-6 nowadays. In photos of him with other celebrities (men or women), he's almost always shorter than them.

Just some tidbits - Joel was an amateur boxer in his teens - the perils of being a piano student and short to boot. He made it to the Golden Gloves level but quit to concentrate on his music, winning 22 of 25 matches as a lightweight from age 15 - 17. I haven't found any records of height or weight though.

Joel was on Conan O'Brien the other night. It might ahve been a re-run but I couldn't believe how short he was. After playing a song, he shook Conan's hand without getting off of the stool. It was obvious he didn't want to be sending standing straight next to conan. I gotta go with Glenn - 5'6", tops.

5 feet 6 inches, hes a little guy about an inch and a half shorter than my uncle which it 5 feet 7 and a half inches, BTW I saw him on american chopper with the teutuls I was trying to see how tall the teutuls are but at the time I didnt know Billy's height but discovery channel is good like that because they will play episodes at different times and they will play an episode later in the night so I can find the height of the teutuls b/c they are not listed, someone correct me if im wrong
