I believe 5’11 was also Bret’s peak height. In the early 90s WWE listed Bret’s height as 5’11 then they changed it to 6’0 a year later.looks like he hasn’t lost much height, maybe only 1 inch. I don’t believe he’s 238 lbs.

Yeah I'm not sure if a full inch has been lost. 6ft definitely looks correct for his peak, I wouldn't change that. He doesn't have great posture I notice when he's being interviewed, always hunched forward.
I wonder if he can still manage close to the 5ft11½ if measured? He was probably still close to his peak in 2008, he was only 51.

I'd say he is only 2 inches taller than Rob(1.73m-1.75m)5'8-5'9 in this pic , I'd guess him as a fraction shy of 6 feet and by now 5'10.75 or 5'10.5(1.79-1.80m).

I met Bret earlier today at a meet and greet - I’m 5’10.5” and my father is 5’11.5” - Bret was an inch taller than me, as well as the exact same height as my father, and all three of us were wearing regular athletic shoes with no difference in height - I think it’s fair to say he’s about 5’11.5”

The pic on the right is Bret with Russell Wilson of the Seahawks. Russell was measured at the NFL combine at 5' 10 1/4 so we know his legit height. Bret is standing closer to the camera but despite that you can see Bret has him by atleast an inch.

In 2016 I met Bret Hart at a wrestling show far from my house and I thought he was only like 5'9" honestly. I was very surprised to see how short he was in person.

As someone who has been height obsessed since the day I was born, I've learned that not every body can go by pictures when judging height. You have to meet some people. For example, someone like the Great Khali has problems with his legs that make it so he can't really stand straight and tall in pictures with fans and other celebs which make him appear shorter. I met Khali and he was definitely 7'0" but not taller. I'm just using an example. You look at a lot of people from what I've noticed and you usually estimate them at the lower side of the scale, if that makes sense. Personally me this site is about the truth not just trolling, I’m interested in how tall these people actually are and I have to say Rob is incredibly accurate with his listings. Everyone he’s met that I’ve also met I’d agree with to within 0.5”.

Most wrestlers have truly abysmal posture so often look shorter. Also broad shoulders and wide physiques don’t do anyone any favours when it comes to looking tall.

I'm never sure about Hennig. I know he's known fror standing on his tip toes. Perhaps 6'2 peak barefoot, Martel maybe never shrunk and has always been mid 5'11. Giving Hennig 2.5"+ tip toes or thicker soles.... Who knows, I never met Hennig.
I met Bret and id say 5'11 1/2 to 6'0.

Vince was in big basketball sneakers, so I'm sure he was getting at least 1" from those. I'll even post the clip again and point out the best times to compare them.

Go check out Brett's FB page. He's got a pic of himself & Seahawks QB Russell Wilson who measured 5'10-5/8" (5'10.625") barefoot. And Brett is a STONG one inch taller! 1" to 1.25" taller. Brett looks without doubt 5'11.75" with Wilson. Brett would've easily been a peak 6'0" IMO.

Rob said (on HBK's page) that if the top of one's head reaches the brow region, then that's more like a 4 inch difference. That would put Owen Hart at a solid 5'8" assuming Bret is 6 feet even. It's possible Owen is taller than Rob, but I think the difference would be so little that it would be hard to tell. I'd put Owen at 5'8"-5'8.5" but not 5'9". Owen looks too small to be 5'9 in my eyes. Max I'd give Owen on a good day would be 174.5 cm.

I didn't believe him until I met Jim Neidhart at a strip club one night after Nitro. Neidart stood straight up, face to face with me and was the exact same height as me, and I'm 5'9". I looked at many pictures of The Hart Foundation after that and saw that Bret and Jim were usually always the same height, but sometimes Bret was a hair taller and sometimes a hair shorter. I don't think he was ever above 6'0. I always think he was hovering around 5'11.75 in his prime. He's been billed at 5'11 before.

Bruno was supposedly around 5'10" or so in his prime. He is 79 years old now, so he may have lost a little bit of height. But he still appears to be near the 5'10" mark.
Bret has his head tilted but he is standing in front of Bruno and he is thus closer to the camera.

Attitude, good comparison pics you made. My head is slightly titled up in those though. Had others with Rob where my head was more straight but still would be very close. Me and Rob's pics show how a 4 inch gap should look. Bret has more 3 inches on Rob.

Yeah, he doesn't look quite as big as 238 there. That's probably what he gets up to for wrestling. Wrestlers do have a lot of muscle, and even though they are often fat as well, they are usually in good shape.
