I met the bulldog a few times in the mid 90's and he really never looked 5'9.. He never seemed that short at all, i thought he looked nearly 6ft..i got 2 photos with him and he his posture was really bad, he had his arm around my shoulder on one side and my friend who was 5'8 on the other side, he was definetly taller then my 5'8 friend.. Going on meeting him and the pics i'd probably say 5'10 min... Not a lift wearer, he never seemed bothered about height.

Piper was over 6'0" in the 1980's. The man underwent MAJOR back surgery and an entire hip replacement in the 1990's. He lost some serious height, as did Hogan and Superstar Billy Graham. IMO those men lost the most height for their age. Ben says on 29/Dec/08

Bret Hart looked at times to be barely taller than Mean Gene in the mid 80's WWF interviews and YES, he WAS billed at 5'11" in the 1980's in the WWF and so was SHAWN MICHEALS and so was DAVEY BOY SMITH. I stood up after our beer and shook his hand. He didn't feel taller than me. He was around 5'11". Owen was 5'8"-5'9". Bulldog I met in 1995 in Montreal, when I was in grade 11. He was about an inch shorter than me. So, MAX 5'9" for him. I met Jake The Snake Roberts with my step dad the summer of 1990. Jake was in town for a match at the old Montreal Forum. My step father and I met him backstage and he signed an autograph for me telling me to believe in myself. My step dad WAS exactly 6'1 3/4" at that time (he was only 38 then) and Jake was between 6'4"-6'5" easily. My step dad later told me that he felt short next to Jake. I also met Iron Sheik when I was in grade 7 or 8. He came to my school in Montreal. I couldn't gauge his height, because I had yet to go through my growth spurt. I was only around 5'0" at that time. This is ridiculous, I met the hitman myself just over a month ago. I spoke to him him - he was standing straight, it was around 8pm. Rob, I think his footwear-advantage is more like 0.5"-0.75", his jeans hide a part of the heels in the fullbody pic.
5´11"flat is my minimum estimation, he looks like a good 5´11" today. He was always slightly taller than Shawn Michaels.

Think about it this way , the top of the picture is around 6 feet foot these two were barefoot, now imagine him standing totally straight. he would be over that by half inch. He would hit this head on the top of the picture.

Vegas, I believe him that he met him, but I don´t believe he can judge height down to 0.5" next to someone, that´s very hard to estimate even if both stand straight and infront of a mirror. If he has no photo standing straight next to Bret and a proof of his own height than I will not take his estimate serious.

At about the 5:07 minute mark you'll see Stone Cold and Bret go faces to face and they are about the same height you could make a case that Bret is actually a little taller than him there. I believe this was before Austin had his neck problems or knee surgeries so he was at his peak height. Judging by this I dont see how Bret Hart was lower than 6ft maybe 5'11.5 at the least at this time.

I tend to agree with Editor Rob's Listing that Bret Hart is a legit 6 footer, the reason he can be smaller at times is because of his posture, and the WWE Billed him just an inch taller than his real height.
