On the set of Rambo in full combat boots Stallone was the same height as Carter Wong who as fight choreographer had no need to wear shoe lifts. Explain how Stallone is 5'10"?

What a thoroughly hypnotic picture!

I have heard of Carter Wong and seen 'Big Trouble in Little China', so the puzzle fits together with ease!

Carter can have 5ft7.

Is it time to take his peak height into consideration? Well, if this is his current height, he may have been as tall as a strong 5'8 if not a bit more.

How much he might have lost by the time I seen him is hard to say exactly. He might have lost half inch or so, but he looked in good physical shape and no obvious stooped back/neck.

He was about 62 or so in this photo.

He could be 1 foot tall, I would concur that you still need to run for your life if you ever seen him in a bad mood.

Looks around 3cm shorter than Rob so about 170cm.

5ft 6.75- 5ft 7. Looks like an inch between you two. But Rob is probably 5ft 8.25 in this picture so Carter might measure 5ft 7.25 on a good day

I'm guessing his knuckles look like that. I box a lot and my knuckles look kind of similar.

I took many private lessons from Carter Wong in the late 80's here in California. If you had a gun and were facing him in an alley, I would advise you to still run like hell. Great guy and truly one of the toughest guys on the planet. He was approximately 5'9 then.

Whoa! he seems to have big hands for his size and look at those knuckles!
I bet this guy could really break huge, heavy bricks with his bare hands if he wanted to.

Using the other two Storms (Peter Kwong/Rain, and James Pax/Lightning), Carter Wong/Thunder looked 5'10" to me... Since Kwong is 5'9", and Pax is 5'11", while Wong was right in-between those two heights.

Looks an inch difference. 5'7.25 looks right

He seemed bigger in Big Trouble in Little China but then again that film made Kurt Russell look John Wayne-sized next to guys about half a foot shorter like Dennis Dun and Victor Wong. Rob, how tall do you think veteran character actor James Hong is? He seems relatively tall in that movie and others, possibly 5'11" range.

I'm really a peaceful guy...but don't make me angry!

Huh, he's taller than I imagined. On BTILC he looked really short compared to Kurt Russel. This pic was taken in 2010? He looks so young.

Nex to Rob, he does look like a strong 5'7".
