I don’t know how tall or short Catherine Zeta Jones is. I never saw her in person. I would have to guess she is shorter (perhaps by a little) than she claims, because celebs of average height typically add inches to their height in their bio’s. That being said however, whatever height Jones is, she looks perfectly proportioned, with longish legs, just beautiful. As a woman I admire Catherine Zeta Jones for her graceful dancing and stunning beauty. She has breast implants but I actually think she looked better before having them. She also had her hairline raised, as did Rita Hayworth. She also had a nose job. Bottom line, I think Catherine Zeta Jones is a great beauty; she is gorgeous, in fact, she is in the class of the old time stunning beauties. I may be wrong about that because her father-in-law, Kirk Douglas, said that Catherine Zeta Jones is even more beautiful than all the big ‘stars’ of his day. He should know.

I am 5'10" in my dress shoes and she was 4 inches shorter than me. My wife was 5'4" in her shoes and remarked how Catherine was not that much taller than her. 5'6" tops.

Sisa, Becky never said all women over 5'8 are awkward. She meant if you're awkward looking and happen to be over 5'8 you look even more awkward. A little defensive? Maybe you're not as happy with being an amazon as you think. Studies show most guys prefer smaller women. Don't misconstrue what I'm saying--a lot of guys like taller females, a lot of guys don't care either way. I'm just telling you biological studies. Don't make it sound like being very tall is superior. There is no proof of that.

To Becky: You personally believe that a woman over 5'8" is a huge and awkward one????? I am 5'11" and look just great with heals on. Believe me that I have heard so many compliments from men that it has never even bothered me to think of any disadvantages of being tall. Being tall is beautiful and elegant. Of course, a short woman can only envy beautiful, tall women because she will never be like them.

Alot of people think height has to be higher, not so, its proportions that look best. Sometimes shorter is cuter. But a huge awkward women over 5'8" is really just awkward. Once a model isn't a model, one day she will be some tall awkward, hopefully gracefully aging women, but most of the time it will be wierd. Very tall people for the most part look out of character...Now once the population starts multiplying with tall people and eating more nutritious foods, of course the human species will hit very high heights that we are not used to and then 5'8" will eventually be the next 5'2"...and then tall will be King Kong only :-] So what is height anyway... :-]

I just watched Ocean's Twelve where she is standing next to Brad Pitt and in a scene where you can see their feet she is wearing at least 2 inch heels and still is a good three or four inches shorter than he. She could be less than 170. All depends on her exact heel height and whether he was wearing lifts.

Anonymous, accept it, she's not that tall. The 174 she has always been listed at was a fabrication. I also doubt Julia's 173/174 cm, something about that Ocean's 11 cast and tricky height! Julia definately didn't look this height beside Oprah and Natalie Portman.
