I have seen too many people on his show that are listed at 6'2" and he (Craig) always appears shorter. What really caught my eye, is when Alec Baldwin (not a natural six footer)appeared about an inch or 2 shorter than Craig. Craig is probably closer to 6'1". Random Person says on 30/May/08
He didn't seem too tall on The Drew Carey show because just about everyone on that show was tall. Hell, Drew Carey and Kathy Kinney were the only average sized people. Weren't Craig and Diedrich Bader the same height on the show?

this may be the best talk show on which to currently base height, since the (suits i imagine at CBS) changed the opening so he has to walk out and greet each guest, so you get a much better guage than on letterman (who is usually up on the platform and its hard to tell often-times lol) . everything lately seems to add up to about 6-1 and change, based on the heighth comparisens. Yes, I would put him right on par with Letterman. I believe they both claim to be 6-2 but seem to be a bit under (though Letterman may have been 6-2 peak). Ferguson looks shorter than most truely tall guests (6-3+), but he's definitely over 6-1. Trustiva says on 7/Feb/07
In a recent show with Allison Janney (she is 6 feet and was wearing high heels of about 6 cm) he was still a bit taller than her. So I think 187/188 is quite right. Del Mar says on 27/Oct/06

Okay, this is a detour to what the posts on this site are about, but Mr. R., I'm an aspiring screenwriter. Is it like feeding a Tic Tak to a whale in terms of getting a break in Hollywood as a screenwriter? And just out of curiousity, what's like living in glitzy Hollywood? May I add that, with all due respect to the hilarious Craig Kilborn, I do enjoy the Late Late Show a little bit more now than Fergie has taken over. However, as much as I enjoy his humour and the class that comes along with it, I also seem to be his biggest critic as far as height goes. Virtually every guest I've seen him with, he just looks like more of a 6'1" guy every time I see him. Sorry Rob, he just doesn't strikingly TALL! Now granted he is still tallish, like me, but I think that I guy can truely call himself tall when he's at the 6'2" mark (this is minimum height for many a Tall People's Club for men) and Fergie just doesn't look it. Again I think he's a great funnyman who also carries himself with a lot of class, but one thing Kilborn had on him was the height. He just doesn't quite look 6'2", maybe somebody else enjoys the show as much as I do out there! Smoke says on 23/Apr/05
Caught another episode of his show with legendary boxing promoter Don King as a guest and King is billed as being 6'2" (the nature and validity of his billings are infamous) and Fergie still looked about an inch shorter. Now it might be the angle of the camera that shows him whenever he his greeting a guest, but to me it has been several celebs now that appear to show Fergie standing quite a bit under 6'2". Just how concrete could he have made this listing for himself while he was still standing at his peak? Smoke says on 12/Apr/05
I wouldn't be surprised if Tony was indeed marginally taller than the 6'2" he's given in many places. However, Ferguson to me has never looked 6'2" compared to many other celebrities on his show as well. Even if Hawk was 6'3" in reality, Ferguson looked a good two inches shorter.
[Editor Rob: I'll say that in an 80's episode of red dwarf beside the other 2 main guys he looked close to 6ft 2, maybe a wee bit under. Nowadays I think yeah he doesn't quite look a full 6ft 2...maybe the rigours of life have hammered him down a bit over 20 years!] Mr. R says on 11/Apr/05

I caught a recent episode of his show on which Tony Hawk was a guest. I truely think Tony is a solid 188 cm, and he looked atleast an inch taller than Ferguson while wearing very flat healed sneakers, Ferguson was in dress shoes with about a 1 inch heal. Those in the U.K may have a good idea as to his height, but I really doubt him truely being 6'2". Compared to Tony Hawk he really did look about 6'0", again Tony has always looked a solid 6'2", and Ferguson to me looked about 2 inches shorter, even with Hawk wearing flatter shoes. |
