In Dragonheart he didn't look 3 inches taller than Dennis Quaid, who's listed here as 6'0. I didn't notice their footwear though.

Thewlis looks exactly the way a 6'3" guy does to me. He's pretty gangly looking. 6'2 is obviously an underbilling as 6'2" + is often undesirable as an actor.

met him yesterday iceskating and had a photo, i'm 5'11 and was in ice skates and he was still a good couple of inches taller than me, 6'3 seems about right.

I'm pretty sure hes 6'4". He towers over almost everybody in every film I've seen of him, not just the HP movies.

He was about an inch shorter than David Morrissey in Basic Instinct who is listed at 6 ft 3 in. I think Thewlis is 6'3" making Morrissey 6'4"?
