I say probably 6'4 3/4. A shrunken 6'7" Tyler Mane can look a little more than 2" taller at times. It looks like a 2.25" to 2.5" difference between them

Editor RobI can see why some folk would class Derek as a big 6ft 5 range peak guy (like possibly a bit over), though I think there may well only be a small fraction in it if you measured either of them in their 20's.

If you look at those convention photos where he is standing next to the other Jason actors, he is clearly taller than all of them. There are some where they are not in a perfect line. But I would put money on him being a legit 6 foot 5. I wouldn't agree with anything less than 6 foot 4 though.
He was a beast as Jason. He put a whole new meaning to the physical aspect of it. Well done. I think he should take the role for any future F13 movie.

All three times I was measured were in the late morning and early afternoon. I don't know if the doctors round up or round down. I hope that helps. I don't know what kind of footwear Derek Mears was wearing. I'm sure it's the same at most of his convention appearances.

He could even be 240, my guess is he is 235. Im 6'0 and 212 and know that if someone who was 6'5 and built like him stood next to me, he would have me by 25 to 30 pounds.

Morning height should not be used as you are only taller due to more fluid in the spine which drains out during the day. (most of it pretty quickly) Someone has said on another page that the guinness book of records take three measurements,morning,noon and night which is a fair assessment.

James, midday or evening height you'll be seen out. Almost never out of bed height but your mid-late morning height you can be seen at. Say you get up and go somewhere 2-3 hours later you'll be in between your out of bed and midday height likely.
