Just looking through Oscar pictures, and he has this REALLY bad habit when taking photos of hunching his back and leaning into the camera. He does it in just about every picture, so it's really hard to judge his height up against anyone. I'm not sure if it would lose him any significant height in that pose if you were with him in person, but on the camera end of things with the right angle it can sometimes look like a significant reduction in height. It's enough of a stance where I could see some people believing just viewing pictures that he could be 6'0" if he straightened up. That seems highly unlikely, but I could see where some could make that mistake.

He's 5'11". Anyway, unrelated question, but does anyone know how much he was supposed to have weighed before his performance in The Theory of Everything? I've seen media mentions that he lost quite a bit of weight, which I find pretty amazing seeing as how he's already so thin, but have never seen a published weight either before or after his transformation.

have you seen him next to jamie dornan on ice bucket challenge or on several photos ? this guy towers him easy especially on ice buc- challenge where jamie is on sneakers and eddie is barefoot . I believe Eddie's height is spot on but jamie definetely needs a downgrade

There is no way he was taller than Jimmy Fallon, because he was actually a bit shorter than Seth Myers (whose show is after Jimmy's, BTW) who is not more than 5'11", himself.
He's a really thinnly built guy; I wouldn't guess him much over 150lbs. This might explain why he can look taller. But, he was shorter than 5'11" Seth and AT LEAST a good inch shorter than Benedict Cumberbatch.

He looks 6 foot 1. I did not know he's was 32 years old I thought he was 24 or 25 years old. Thirty years old's look very young these day, that is the reason why back than on shows like head of the class they try to pass them off as teenagers, but this guy looks younger than those people do.

I honestly think he could a little taller than that. 181/182cm maybe, in Les Mis he looked a full head taller than Amanda Seyfried (159cm) and not significantly shorter than Hugh Jackman (188cm).

I'd guess him at a fraction under 6' having seen him in the flesh (not right up as didn't wish to appear a stalker!)I am 5 10 and he was taller than me but very slender. Tom Hiddleston is taller and broader and in photos of them together looks 2" taller at least. But Eddie does have a cute way of posing wonkily so hard to be accurate.

Are you guys nuts??? Have you seen him standing next to dammon in the good Shepard!.? That makes dammon 5'6-5,7 as he is a clear 3-4 inches. 6ft - 6'1 is this guys height. I'm bang on 5'9 and I am smaller then everyone always unless I go down to china town but now even the youngers ones are coming in taller then me. For anyone to say dammon is shorter than me and gets all the leading men parts... Just not possible, he is 5,10 and this lad is min 6ft
