I have just found out that Frazer Hines played Jamie in early 'Doctor Who'! It was at the time I was so little that I sometimes had to hide behind the chairs because I was frightened of the daleks and such like. I reckon I was about 5 or 6, but when Jamie left, after what seemed like eons to me, I had grown up enough to withstand the scary bits and sit put; I'd say I was in the junior school when he left the popular children's series and had recently started what was known those days as infant school, which you'd start at 4 and-a-half to 5 years of age, when he made his debut. (Junior school began at 7 and you'd turn 8 in your first year).
Frazer at the time must have been a teenager to early twenties and he seemed darn tall in the eyes of a small child! I don't think that I'll ever get over that this is the same guy who played Joe Sugden, which is before I ever regularly watched the Soap, along with Wendy Padbury, who was called Zoe, and Patrick Troughton played the Doctor. Of course, I did see the odd episode and Frazer's face is indeed familiar - just not as Jamie, who back then, I thought was as tall as, well, any grown-up, but compared to Wendy's Zoe, he was tall! It might be worth mentioning that I saw a few clips of the series when I'd reached adulthood, and then realised what a couple of kids Wendy and Frazer still were then, neither of them passing for a full-grown adult, but perhaps that is why they got their parts...
Frazer can have 5ft5.5 for today's height and an inch more for his heyday. He had a very young-looking face in Doctor Who. I wonder if he was fully grown then?

This looked a three inch height different from seeing this, would guess 5'6 for this fella. As for peak height, I'd give him a solid 5'7.

Always liked Frazer. Despite never met him, he seemed like a great guy from what I've heard and even his twitter.
I think you're almost there, I reckon he's probably 5'7, but I'm not great at judging heights, really.
