He is not 5'11". I personally met George W. Bush in my hometown of San Angelo in 1997, he was then Governor of Texas and we were naming a new building at my University after him or someone in the Bush family and he was there for the opening of this building. I am 5' 10.5" maybe 5'11" on a tall day, and he was DEFINITELY shorter than me. I distinctly remember looking downward while exchanging greetings and shaking his hand. In these clip you can see when Obama enters the studio and shakes hands with Leno and Letterman. He looks 2.5 inches taller than Leno, maybe even more and the same height as Letterman. Of course it is not the best angels but roughly I would say he is about 6'1˝'', 186-187 cm.

ok, I've met John Key several times in the last 18 months. He has been a regular visitor in my shop, and each time he has come in he has stayed for a long time talking to us and, given that he was likely to be (and has become) New Zealand's prime minister, I was focusing very carefully on his height.

Dee that's a good question, because he comes across consistently on TV and in pictures as a 5ft9-5ft10 guy tops! Standing 5ft11 with the 1.5 inch cowboy boots he wears from time to time would put him at 6ft0.5, and at least to me he has never looked that tall! In the most recent footage of Obama and Bush walking around the White House, Obama looked to have a solid 3 inches on him, and I'd peg him at 6ft1 give or take a bit.

My Grandfather took a photo with Bush a couple years back. My Grandfather slouches a good bit, so he appears around 5'9". I saw mccain on tv and allways thought he was like 5'7 but it was weird..he was taller than/basically towering every male he walked past..I dont know if he had lifts or they were all like 5'5 males but it was odd. No, 5'11'' is not little. In the US, you would have to be less than 5'9.25'' to be considered under-average height. I seriously doubt the president looks taller than 5'10.5'' and if celebrities can put down exaggerated heights in their CVs, presidents can too.

It's total nonsense to day Brown is 2-3 inches taller than Bush. There are pics from the summit where they look the same size, pics where Brown looks taller and pics where Bush looks taller. It depends on camera angle, who is slouching and whether the ground is even. This vid Click Here

Later in the vid we see them shaking hands after the press conference (2m 48s) and walking off and, if anything, Bush looks to have the edge. In any case, talk of Brown being 2-inches taller is ridiculous.
