My niece was able to get his autograph while he was getting onto his tour bus. He stood on the 1st step in the entry and was eye to eye level with her. She is 5'7".

If he's 5' 4", then I'm 6' 6" and I know that's not right. I met him in 1996. He stood right in front of me and came up to about my chin. I'm 5' 9". These days, he's taller laying down than standing up.

Saw him ten or so years ago, he was in high heel boots and was not much taller than me, I am 5"3' he did have really big arms though and looked like he worked out, not so much now but he is close to 70 I think so he must have been middle-aged when I saw him-so good for him.

Just wanted to post that I was definitely incorrect in my 5'5.75-5'6 guess for Danzig, I have seen picture evidence that assures me 5'4 is the tallest he can be. This listing was and is correct.

On numerous websites, Glenn Danzig's height is listed as 5'3". I've also met several people who claim that he's 5'3" at the tallest. If Danzig was 5'3" at his peak, then he's probably shorter now.

This needs an upgrade. Yes, he is shorter than average, but he is not 5'4". Without shoes he hits 5'6".
As for weight, he DID hit over 180. He was a big-framed guy. Maybe because of his width people may think he's shorter.

Stood next to him at a toys r us in Paramus NJ while we were looking at Godzilla toys. Im 5` 10" and he was quite shorter than me. Also, he was wearing platform boots and I had sneakers. My guess...5` 4" 170 lbs.

I met Danzig a few times working clubs. When he's in "character" he's about 5'8", because he wears huge boots. I talked to him at soundcheck when he had his tennis shoes on and he's 5' 3" at best. His fans think of him as a huge warrior, but in real life he's only a very short little Ewok. lol

He maintained a very lean and muscular build (due to jujitsu) until the mid/late 90's (probably weighed 190-195 pounds)... After that he gained A LOT of weight.. I'd say he went up to maybe 245 pounds at his heaviest (2007)... Looks to have leaned down since to 215 pounds these days...

I got a chance to give him a hug on Oct 30th in Houston for the Blackest of the Black Tour...OMG he's so hot! I'm 5'3 so he was perfect. He was a little taller than me which was perfect cause if we ever got together it wouldn't be awkward.. Lol! I'm his biggest fan and it was awesome cause his bodyguards didn't allow anyone else to get close to him but he reached out to hug me when I asked politely. It was the most righteous moment of my life! m/ :)

Saw him at Ozzfest supporting Blackacidevil. I knew he was short, but was genuinly shocked to see HOW SHORT he really was. He had a box he would stand on to sing at diff points in the show, and was always "hunkering down" and swaying his arms....he looked like a little chimp. I never laughed so hard in my life, I ended up spraying beer when he first came out. Was truley hilarious. I never really got his "Ooooo look at me, I'm soooo evil" shtick.

What's his height have to do with the music he's written for himself as well as many other well accomplished musicians. Newer bands cover his songs, magazines call him the godfather of punk for the eastcoast. Get real people. Glenn is short 5'4"-5'5" and for the record has never juiced. I also get big and ripped fairly quick when serious about working out. His nose was worked on due to being broken so many times from punk show back in the 80's causing a sever septum issue. If anyone has questions or want true facts hit me up. Oh and about that fat ass that knocked him down. Anyone else think that confortation was a bit set up. If you've ever been @ any of my uncles shows you'll know that cameras and vid are not allow and if a band member ever did have one you never see any on the net unless its in a preset location for fans or out by the tour bus. Just thought it was weird that the confortation was only filmed and the knock down but nothing after. whatever!

I met him in Georgia on this latest blackest of the black 2008....He came out after we all met everyone else....I'm almost 5'4 but he was still A LOT bigger than me....We made photos and hung out... WOO!

I always thought he was tough because he looked ripped. but at that height with such a compact frame, how hard is it really to get ripped with that kind of leverage. that punch that took him down on youtube looked really weak. For such a tough guy mentally he should just give up the shtick.

I'm sure Danzig is LESS than 5'4", believe it or not. I saw him getting punched by a bouncer once, in a club (Misfits days), and he left the building with a black eye. That eye was about level with my chest, and I'm just 5'11"!

Yeah Rollins can easily be 190-195 pounds with muscle. I am muscular and am 190 pounds and 5-9.5 tall. Not only has to do with the height though, also the frame. I have a large frame.

I knew that he's short but I was surprised how short he really is..he wore extra-high heavy boots but still he was ..tiny..well I'm pretty sure his height is not more than 160cm..another strange thing was that he was not massy at all! one could see that he's doin some workout but there were no real muscles and everything..BUT on pictures of that time he looked like a real beef...must be a camera effect..really weird :)

In Misfits group photos, you can tell hes a good 4-5 inches shorter than the other members. Doesn't matter, Danzig is an incredibly talented musician, and plus he's built as hell. And I got to say, he was pretty attractive back in Misfit years. Misogynistic? I don't think so. He seems short, but if he was cool no one would care. I think his lack of height definitely gave him a complex from the beginning. I don't think he would be as angry, stupid, or sad if he was of normal height. All the over-emphisis on dominant masculinity and contrived sexuality seems to compensate for something. Every time he's brought to my attention (which is often) I just think, "Aw, he just needs a hug." All these punk/metal guys that try so hard to be scary must be so frightened themselves.

Rudy Sarzo is about 5'7-5'8. There is a picture with 5'10 Ozzy and 5'7 Randy Rhoads and Sarzo is atleast 2 inchs shorter than Ozzy and about an inch bigger than Rhoads. Also Sarzo has said he's 5'7.

I'm afraid it is, judging by the guy's lyrics (who else writes about killing 13-year-old girls?) and attitude. The Viv Campbell incident, which was widely reported in the metal press, happened when Danzig swore at Campbell's wife backstage ("Get the f... outta my way!") when she happened to be unaware he was trying to pass. Campbell either punched him, sending his food flying, or kicked his backside, sending him reeling into his dropped soup-bowl, on which he struck his nose. Fair play to Campbell, surely? Danzig claimed he was afraid to hit back "in case he sued (me)". Now, Def Leppard members are rich, and have no need to sue anyone. (And Campbell made money with Dio and Whitesnake, presumably.) The same pattern emerged when Danzig was beaten up by the Northside Kings guy. Seen the clip? Danzig shoves the guy first. THAT is assault, and is on film, so the guy could've sued him without beating him up. Why did Danzig claim the assailant had used a metal blade, and then, when the vid emerged, try the 'fear of court' tack again? Desperation. The NSK guy later stated Danzig had been rude to his guitarist's wife earlier. Danzig seems to hate women.

Well, I'm about 5'4" myself and I workout like a madman too! Wouldn't you if you were my height? He could very well weigh 225. It's not impossible. I weigh about 175 and I have people telling me that I'm pretty big for my height. But I can certainly pack on another 30 or 40 lbs of muscle easy. Muscle weighs more than fat so it's possible. I've seen a lot of bodybuilders around my height that are much larger than me that way in the 200s.

Dominic, what are you talking about? Touchy about what subject? He is 5'4", MAX 5'5". He wears very thick healed boots/shoes, which are at least 3". He's short, but definitely huge.

Henry Rollins stated on a Howard Stern interview that he is 190-195 pounds. Stern thought he was well over 200 pounds.
He was one thick dude in the 90's. He has lost a lot of muscle and size since the late 90's.
Danzig is DEFINITELY 200+ pounds. Not all muscle anymore either.

Are you sure about that? Rollins is definitely around 5'8.5" or 5'9". I saw him a number of times in New York back in the day. First time was in a San Loco take out place near NYU - standing in line, right in front of me - and I was shocked at how short he was. Anyway...195 lbs. is a lot for even a 5-9er. Is he really that big?
And Danzig at 225? Not likely. That'd be packing near-Schwarzeneggerian size onto a 5'4" or 5'5" frame.

i was always under the impression that he was 5'5''. it's the most common listing that i've seen for him. either way, the guy is a beast regardless...he obviously works out like a madman to make up for his height or something...and he's obviously a very talented musician...one of the most legendary rock singers of all time
