He was a comfortable inch on Eastwood it seems from photos at the Paint Your Wagon set. As an older man, like in Fargo, he might’ve lost nearly 3 inches from his peak.

Right you are about the singing in Paint Your Wagon. Clint Eastwood is a singer in the same way that he is an actor. He was a genuine movie star though, although you don't have to be even competent as an actor to be a movie star. (Consider the case of Arnold Schwarzenegger, who at least had the grace to avoid singing in a musical.)

As for Marvin, well, he's not that bad as a singer. He didn't sing flat or sharp in his version of Wandrin' Star, and he had a rich bass baritone that carries the song, which was a hit on the radio.

Presnell was a real singer. When Presnell sings They Call the Wind Maria in Paint Your Wagon the audience gets a brief respite from the forced, amateurish tedium of that movie and gets to enjoy a few minutes of real brilliance. Presnell is the best thing in the movie. He's the reason you didn't waste your money when you bought a ticket.

Strange to see him much aged in Fargo in comparison with the rugged handsome guy in Paint your Wagon. I suppose we all get older. About an inch on Eastwood I reckon. On the subject of Paint your Wagon it's famous for being the musical where your two leads Eastwood and Marvin can't sing a note. Although Wanderin Star is moving with Marvin's gravelly voice. Harve on the other hand was a very good singer.

Yeah, I think there's a good chance he could've been 6'4.25" peak since as an old man he can still look pretty close to the 6'4" mark and could seem to have a tad of height over Clint Eastwood in Paint Your Wagon.

Rob, maybe 6ft4½ peak is closer?

He still looked a few inches taller than Travolta in Face/Off and he edged out Clint

A strong 6ft4 peak

There is a clip on youtube of the David Frost show or at lease there was. Harve appears alongside Clint Eastwood and Muhammad Ali. Harve looks the tallest of the 3 with Ali the shortest.

There's a chance of near 6'5" for Presnell although possibly in the 6'4" to 6'5" range...Presnell might have been a strong 6'4" guy against Clint's weak 6'4" peak. Definitely agree he looks at least 1.5 inches over Tom Tryon.

In his diaries, Andy Warhol described Harve as 6'5":

In the movie 'The Glory Guys', he seemed to have a couple inches on legit 6'3" Tom Tryon:

He was definitely the tallest actor in the cast; even seemed to edge out Andrew Duggan, who was a solid 6'5" at peak (maybe he had lost a bit?)

If he was also taller than Clint, that would confirm 6'5" for Harve.

6' 4" for Harve seems fine. He looked like Howard Keel's younger brother, same height and voice too!

In some shots, he is more or less unrecognizable as the handsome, Howard Keel-style singing leading man to the bald, growling always playing mean old SOBs later on.
With Clint Eastwood and Lee Marvin in Paint Your Wagon, it seems Presnell might have an edge on Clint...looks like their standing on a slope which gives Eastwood the advantage but Presnell seems feet closer to the camera which may give him an advantage.

Next to solid 6'2" Andy Richter, an older Presnell was still clearly taller, doesn't seem like he lost much of any height.
