Watching tonight show, standing next to 6'4 Conan, he looks about 5 inches shorter. That would, in assumption, make him 5'11. But, looking at his shoes, he was wearing dress shoes, so it appears he got over an inch of height. So on that, I put him at close to 5'10.

Got to meet him backstage a while back when he was in Vancouver and I had at least 3 inches on him. He was wearing shorts and running shoes so he couldn't have been packing lifts. I'm 5'11.75 and he's a little bit smaller than 5'9. Brent says on 4/Jan/09

Here, he is standing next to a 6'0" (6'1" Max) John Cena, which would make Howie almost 6'0". He must be wearing high lifts with tall shoes because he is not that tall. Click Here Real says on 26/May/08
There was a tall guy on let's make a deal tonight that made him look really short.. but I think that guy was at least 6'4. I could buy 5'8-5'9 for Mandell.
I agree Nashville. then people wonder why shorties feel the need to compensate. sometimes ya feel almost like it's a lose-lose proposition when you're short. at least in the way you are perceived. TC says on 29/Apr/08

I often come here to Celeb Heights, and I think it is funny how some people, when they want to downgrade a person from the height Rob lists, or from what the celeb claims, they post things like FM below, as though being smaller is bad, and so they point out some good thing the celeb has done to offset their "shortness". Howie was just on Regis with John Leguizano. John said he is 5'8" He was wearing a shoe with a thick sole and managed to tower over guest host, Mandel. Howie appeared to inch out Kelly by no more than 2". He's a great talent who gives $ to kids charities. But he is well under 5'10" I've spoken with people who've met him and report that with his trademark Converse shoes, Mandel appeared 5'6"-5'7" MD says on 30/Oct/06

I saw him on Leno, too, but Jay was definitely more than an inch taller taking all of the other things into account. He really isn't much greater than 5'8" if at all. YO says on 20/Oct/06
Just saw him on the tonight show on Oct. 19th. If Jay Leno is 5'11" (as he is listed here and sure looks it to me), then Howie is 5'10". Jay may look an inch or two taller than 5'11" because his shoes and hair (especially hair) make him look 6' and up. I made sure when I compared them to draw an invisible line from where Jay's bald head is to Howie's (bald) head. But Jay is 5'11" and Howie is 5'10". Ed says on 16/Sep/06
I met him about 8 years ago on the street, and he's really only pushing 5ft9. Maybe close to 5ft10 with shoes. Nice enough guy though. Now, the handshaking thing makes sense, since he seemed a little standoffish. |
