He looks tall to me, even in House with the limp he dominates all men around, except Morse who is about 6.4!!! And watching old sketches with Fry (who is a famous giant) Hugh is just a little shorter. I rememeber Fry interviewed somewhere, saying that people doesn't realize how tall is Hugh Laurie just because he used to stand beside him who's even taller. Around 1,90, to me. He doesn't look that tall on HOUSE, but I think that is mainly because the women on the show always wear real killer heals. Plus he appears to be slouching quite a lot.

In a movie omar epps was taller than 177cm tyra banks. I think it was love and basketball. In house he's at least 10 cm shorter than hugh laurie. In street kings he was maybe an inch or two taller than keanu reeves. In stuart little he was taller than 180cm geena davis. I would say he's 188 to 190 no shorter. Anonymous says on 14/Oct/08

I can barely tell a foot from an inch, but Hugh said several times in past interviews that he and Stephen thought it's visually boring to see two people roughly the same height, so in order to accentuate their height difference he would do scenes without wearing shoes or crouch down a bit, which is probably why he seems shorter than Stephen than he actually is.
