I think the height she claims to be is not quite accurate to what she actually is. But I give her all my praise because I am only 4'10'' and have red hair so she is like my idol. Even though she is the one that comes out the shortest in all the films she is the one who everyone looks at first and stands out the most.

don't really have alot to compare to, too big a difference between her and SBC, and films can be very decepetive. but she does usually appear to be the shortest one in them! i read an interview with her going on about how petite she is but she refused to give her true height. i would say no way to the 5ft 3, and her weight is worryingly low, no? she doesn't look that skinny! blackberry says on 19/Aug/09

I met Isla years ago and she was so kind and lovely to me. I am 5'3 and we were looking directly at each other and she had flatties on, so I would definitely say she is 5'3. She is tiny and petite and absolutely gorgeous - inside and out. Stargazer says on 15/May/09
Plus one for Anna on 09/04/08 - as a short girl myself it is disheartening when celebrities are not truthful about their height. Which is why we end up squeezing ourselves into ridiculous shoes and telling white lies about our height. If they would be proud and trumpet their height it would do a lot for the self esteem of women who look up to them (no pun intended!). As I said in March I would say again - she is 5'0. I am so tired of these short people lying about their height. I am 5'1". I know exactly what a 5'2" woman looks like next to a 6'5" man. Regardless of shoes. Vince Vaughn (at 6'5) towers over her in a way that is very telling. If Isla is 5' she should consider herself lucky. I think she's shorter. The only thing freakish about being 5' is lying about it.
-Totally agree with this comment. I am 5'3" and it is obvious judging from her structure, her torso and legs that is, that she is definitely NOT 5'2". Her body is just really short. Isla is 5'0. We saw Isla and Kate Richie years ago, right next to us before they made their way out, in a packed Camden tube station, before she boyfriended her way to Hollywood success, and she was shorter than me, and I am 5'1". She is extremely slender also. runt says on 10/Mar/09

leonari, you missed the 'that' part of what I said. I know 5'2" is short and I have not said otherwise.
5'5" men are not as common as 5'2" women, so this isn't a good comparison. And that last part you posted - you need to calm down here.

On the Late Show with Craig Ferguson last night he asked her how tall she is. She said something like, "I say I'm 5'3, but, really, I'm quite a bit under that."
So I'm guessing maybe 5'1 - 5'2?
