Rob isn't at the midpoint in the photo -- midpoint is around eye level and Rob comes up to just above the tip of his nose. If Richards were standing more straight, Rob would be down by his lips. And while Richards' head isn't 14" tall, it is significantly larger than Rob's. Large enough to justify the 7" height difference, I think.
[Editor Rob: just a tidbit of info - richards head is closer to the camera, that's why there is a shadow on the right side of my face, if both heads were on the same plane...similarly you can see this with Christian Kane aswell from the other side, the shadow on my left hand side...again because he is also nearer the camera (and therefore the spotlights). That can amplify someone's head size a little bit or more depending on how close the camera is.
