How tall is Jack O'Halloran

Jack O'Halloran's Height

6ft 6 (198.1 cm)

US Actor (Superman 2), former boxer. In 1972 Nevada Journal described "6-foot-6 244-pound brawler". I think he was once described as short as 6ft 4.

@Rob

He looked like he didn’t loose too much, especially for his age. He did shrink though.

This listing is the lowest I would put him at.

Rob, seeing how he stacked up against current John Cleese and current Kevin Nash in person, I think he could’ve been 6’6 1/4”, but I was far away from them. I could be wrong.

I've seen Jack up close, but it was hard to tell how much he shrunk.

I didn't get a picture of him but I saw him from a far. He was definitely taller than John Cleese in the convention center. He wasn't much shorter than current Kevin Nash in the convention, surprisingly.

I was far away so I cannot really judge.

I think he was at least 6'6", peak.

Terrance Stamp was around 6'0 tall at his peak @chase witherspoon

In superman he actually said Reeves wasn’t a lot shorter so they gave me huge heeled boots to change that.

Near 6ft6, maybe 6ft5½ at worst.

I've read he was 6'5" which seemed more accurate than the boxing claims of 6'6". He has prominent roles in Superman I & II, Hero and the Terror and The Baltimore Bullet and in all of them, he looks in the 6'4"-6'5" range against his 5'9-10" co-stars like Terence Stamp and Chuck Norris. I'd reckon he was in the vicinity of 194cm peak...

Someone mentioned that he was exactly a foot taller than 6' Terence Stamp (who wore flat boots). 6'6" + 6" platforms = close to 7'.

Mr. Kaplan: Yes, but he wore at least 6-inch platform boots, especially because he was only 2 inches taller than Reeve.

He made Terence Stamp and Gene Hackman look short.. crazy.

Christopher Reeve was 6ft4 (according to this site), so O'Halloran wasn't much taller than him. That's why they needed to give him those huge platform boots, to make Non appear tall next to Superman.

This is related to nothing about him as a person but every time I see his name I'm reminded of The Shining... Dick Halloran is the head chef and Jack Torrance is the killer, and it's like they mixed their names together.

6'6" exact for him. looks a persice 1/2 foot taller than 6 foot Terrence Stamp.

Jack O'Halloran is not involved in any business transactions on any level with this gentleman and has never met him. Michael Burgess suffers from delusions!

Jack O'Halloran are involved in the film business together, on a co-investor, partnership type of agreement. I know the man well. We usually talk something like three times a day. He is all of 6'6". He no longer looks like the Non of 1978, but he is a big, big man, and 6'4" doesn't cut it.

I am his daughter and I can attest he was 6'6". I am sure he may have shrunk over the years but my father has been 6'6" since he was in his late teens.

O'Halloran doesn't look more than 6'5" today.

Yeah I didn't realise the statue was on a platform. He might have been 6'6 at one time. He appeared in the 1976 remake of King Kong and was easily the biggest guy in the group.

The sculptor's of that Reeve statue went to great pains to make it as accurate as possible by having it be 6'4" barefoot. The statue is on a raised platform in the shape of an 'S' symbol but as far as I can tell, they are standing on the platform with him. If not, that would make O' Hollaran taller than 6'6" since the platform is raised a few inches off the ground. Peak height for celebs are always hard to gauge but considering the guy is 63 years old today, I'd be surprised if the still stood at the peak height of 6'6" he gives for himself.
Paul said on 30/Oct/06
Taking into account the photos from supes78 I'd say not much over 6'4 personally, and that was when he was younger.

Yup, those are huge lifts. And Reeve not only didn't have lifts, but the soles of his boots were very thin, so in terms of height he was essentially walking around barefoot. O'Halloran definitely looked taller than Reeve, but only by a couple of inches.
Paul said on 28/Oct/06
Crikey...some lifts. They would put Kane to shame.
supes78 said on 26/Oct/06
He had to wear lifts for Superman II to convincingly tower over 6'4" Chris Reeve. These days, I'd put him closer to 6'5". Look at these pics of him from last year along side a life size Reeve statue;

He can't be 6'4" since he was obviously taller than Christopher Reeve in Superman 2. I think 6'6" is accurate.
