Someone mentioned that he was exactly a foot taller than 6' Terence Stamp (who wore flat boots). 6'6" + 6" platforms = close to 7'.

Christopher Reeve was 6ft4 (according to this site), so O'Halloran wasn't much taller than him. That's why they needed to give him those huge platform boots, to make Non appear tall next to Superman. |
