Do research before you post. Go to Brad Pitt's page, there are barefoot pictures posted by delphonic on 1/Jan/12 of Pitt and Paltrow where Pitt is virtually the same height as Paltrow. Those pictures are the proof Pitt is 176 MAX barefoot, i.e. without his lifts. George Clooney is around the same height as Pitt, and Damon is slightly shorter than both Pitt and Clooney, hence my 176 and 174 estimates for Clooney and Damon. As for Jonathan Ross, go to his page, he looked below 6'0" next to Gary Lineker who claims 5'9" for himself. I think YOU are the one who needs to think for a second, rather than blindly believing all of the listings on here.
This site needs more people like Viper, Legend, Chameleon, Physics Enemy, jtm, JohnnyRB, johno, Dural, delphonic and myself only to name a few. People who aren't fooled by unreliable celeb height listings on other sites or by celebs' lifts. People who purely look at facts and evidence. If you call that 'downgrading', so be it. As for Jake I think he is between strong 5-10 and 5-11. Strong 5-11 out of bed, strong 5-10 before bed. He might have got measured in the morning/early forenoon at 5-11 and rounded up or got measured in shoes at 6-0 in the morning.

@Ras_ I agree with many of your posts, but I think you should consider the possibility that Heath Ledger was way below 6'1". Even James, one of the biggest upgraders on this site, thinks he was 6'0" flat. In my opinion Ledger was probably 5'11" range.

Klem take a look at the picture posted by ChiasmataX on 25/Nov/11, there's more than 1 inch between Gosling and Gyllenhaal, I would even say the difference is at least 2 inches. Even if gosling is 182cm like you suggest, that makes gyllenhaal 177cm range. Thing is though, Gosling is 180 flat at best, putting Gyllenhaal in the 175cm range. No matter how you look at it, Gyllenhaal's 182cm listing is way too high.

For me, Clooney is 176 as he is always a fraction shorter than Brad Pitt who I believe to be 177-178 MAX (this can be seen in the pictures of Pitt and Paltrow). He is 5'11, every photo of him with people who are really 6'1 proves that. They have easily 2 inches over him. The thing is when you are a true 5'11, you feel yourself taller than most of the people and you call yourself 6'0. You can see in the photos from that event with Ryan Gosling the height comparison is all over the board from photo to photo. In that oft posted one, Gosling looks to have a few inches on Gyllenhaal I think because of his proximity to camera. In some, they look close to the same height but Gosling does look about an inch taller overall:

Rob I hope you dont take this the wrong way. I mean no ill feelings towards you or this site, but wasnt the whole point of this site to show how tall the celebrities really are? Everybody knows that heights among other things are exaggerated in hollywood so why list the hollywood heights as their real heights here? I think it is clear as day that jake is more 5'11 than 6.
