Y'know had he walked down the street, I wouldn't have recognized him. he looks worlds apart from the "Goonies" era.( despite the obvious age difference ;) jasperwazap says on 30/Nov/11

Rob it's cool to see you towering. 5'8-5'9 is a GREAT HEIGHT. I say you could be not TOO TALL for the 5'foot girls and if you were to spike your hair, wear nike shox/basketball shoes, or some other thick shoes, PLUS a 1 inch lift, Now you look Just about 6'feet (And Rob out of Bed that would make you look around 6'1 "5'8.9 out of bed + Hair- 1 inch, + shoes, 1.5inch, + lift- 1 inch". Just goes to show basic stuff like shoes and hair, mixed with maybe a small 0.5 - 1 inch lift can make you taller if needed. The greatest person alive in the world today says on 2/Aug/11

There does seem to be a trend of child actors to be short. Maybe drugs/lifestyle something to do with it.
The main reason why child actors are short is that they can play an age younger than they are. A short 10 year old can play an 8 year old better than an average 8 year old could, in theory anyways. James says on 14/Apr/11
he could be 5'3 flat and appearing 5'3 1/2-5'3.75 with footware advantage. makeyes says on 6/Apr/11
nice image Rob lol you kinda look like Jesus or something, the should hire you for The Passion Of Christ 2, hehe :D
damn jeff has grown up since the goonies, agreed on 163cm, i think the margin of error here is 1cm up or down, so 162 or 164cm is possible K4 says on 22/Feb/11

Jamal, I would think it comes down to this. You either have a parent that was an athlete or not. The non-athlete probably did theater, music or acting in school. It never panned out to anything more. They grow old and have a kid, a kid with their genes. Where do you think they will find an after-school activity for their child? That is right. And again, a child with their non-athletic physical abilities: meaning short, among other things.

This may be the reason why some people don't grow as tall as their parents, and another possiblity is early puberty. The person should at least be as tall as one of their parents. This could also be why the younger generation are downsizing in size. |
