Since he was like 60 at the time of Arrested Development, I am going to say he was 6'1" at peak but 6'0 1/2" today. thekiddd says on 18/Aug/07
Assuming his shoes are 1", He is almost 6'1" His head touches 6'1 1/2" which would make him an inch shorter roughly if he is wearing shoes that are 1". I would say 6'0 1/2" is close to the truth. Wouldn't go any lower than 6'0 1/4 though.

Nah not 6'1", doesn't quite make 6'1" in shoes in this lineup;

and looks a solid 4 inches shorter then 6'4" John lithgow who may be 1 cm under that height in fact;

He's certainly tallish and not far off the 6'1" mark but I'd peg him at 182cm-183cm by those pics.
[Editor Rob: 1/2 an inch loss by 62 could be possible.] Anonymous says on 21/Jul/06
Vince Vaughan was on a Larry Sanders episode once and grabbed hold of Tambor. Vaughan was clearly taller but the difference was 3-4 inches. Tambor did not look dwarfed next to 6'5'' Vaughan. sam says on 19/Aug/05
I saw him in Glengarry Glen Ross. I would have guessed his height 6'1"-6'2". He was slightly shorter than 6'2" Alan Alda (when he strengthened up), 6'2" Fred Weller, or 6'2 1/2"-6'3" Liev Schreiber. Smoke says on 4/Apr/05
Hmm...I don't know how tall he is now, like I said at a glance on tv I wouldn't have guessed him to be anything more than 5'10". In pics though you can pretty much see that he's really quite tall, these days though he really looks to have shrunken substantially. All I can say is, if Jeffrey Tambor isn't much taller than 5'9" then Buck Baker is under 5 feet.
[Editor Rob: the guy said around 6ft, but 6ft 1 does look right.] CelebHeights Editor says on 4/Apr/05
Found this quote from an extra called John Bobby (on his page he states he is 5ft 9) "I've always heard that generally movie and TV stars are pretty short. I found this to be true on my 6th day, when I was standing next to Jeffery Tambor at the Kraft Services line; and I was shocked to see he wasn't much taller than me; he's around 6 foot. From watching him on one of my all-time favorites: The Larry Sanders Show, I would have sworn he was taller." |
