same height as ricky gervais in the invention of lying in 3 or 4 inch heels. clear shot outsider her apartment begining of movie. really doubtful that she is 5'8". saw gervais on daily show with jon stewart so quite sure he's not over 5'8". what's going on here rob?

Affleck, who is 6-2.5, looks to be about seven inches taller than Garner at least, which would put her at about 5-7. I have seen him tower over her well above six inches consistently in pictures. A 5-8 person would come up to just below his eyebrows, and she comes up only to a little over his shoulders usually. My mother, who is 5-6, always told people she was 5-8, sometimes 5-9. Women can get away with that because of high heels.

Rob, you have Victor Garber listed on here as 6'0.5" on this site. Here are several pictures where he is standing next to supposedly 5'8" Garner in similar footwear, but the difference is much larger than four and a half inches. I'd say it's closer to 5 inches or possibly 6 inches.

There is a photo of Jennifer with Ben where she is in flats and appears to be at least a foot shorter than him. I know he is very tall but I'm guessing he's no taller than 6'6".

I was lucky enough to see Jennifer Garner recently in Boston. I stood only a few feet from her. She was dressed casually in jeans and sneakers....she is 5' 7" at best, but I would guess more like 5' 6".

Agree with timber, even if Gervais is the 5'8" he claims she's still no more than 5'7.5". Plus in a picture with Timothy Olyphant (6'0") she again looks almost 2 inches shorter than him even in heels.

I think she's 5'7". She wears heels and thick-soled shoes/boots (in Alias) often, so it's easy to see her as being taller than she actually is. And there's no way she's 5'9"-10". She may be quite tall, but not to that extent.

It seems that she is at least between 5'8" to 5'9" tall. I'm 5'8.5" and met her once in close proximity. I was wearing 2" heel and she's wearing flats, she seemed to be an inch shorter than I am. But minimum, at least 5'8"

I'm 5'8.75" and I've stood directly next to Jennifer on the set of Alias on several occasions in both flat shoes and heals and I can guarantee she is at the minimum 5'8" and possibly 5'9." I would say closer to 5'9," since we are essentially the same height.

The 5-9 listing is what her character's height is shown as on Alias.

Since there was no widely-known height listed for Garner (she wasn't well known before the show started), that's why you see 5-9 listed in places.

I think 5-8 is probably right, maybe 5-7 but no shorter.

in 13 going on 30 she is the same height as Mark Ruffalo even a tad shorter when she is barefoot. And at the MTV movie awards 2003 if you see pictures of her next to Charlize Theron (5'10") Charlize is about 4 inches taller than her and she doesnt seem to eb wearing very large heels.

She is definitely shorter than 5'8". In the paparazzi pics I've seen of her recently with Ben Affleck (6'2) (both wearing trainers) there is about an 7-8" difference between them, which would put her at 5'6-5'7.
