Not a chance. He was always one of my favourite TV actors and having seen every episode of 'Riptide' (Thanks to the R1 DVD releases!) and most of 'Jake and the Fatman' I can see he is in the 5'8" - 5'10" range.

JP was obviously shorter than his 'Riptide' co-star Perry King who ALSO claims 6'0".
