I noticed this fellow the other night while I was watching the fantastic third Conjuring film, entitled 'The Conjuring - The Devil Made Me Do It', based on true events that psychics Lorraine and Ed Warren had to endure back in the early 80s. John plays a very knowledgeable man who is well versed in all things supernatural. Lorraine turns to him for help with the case, which is about a young chap who killed while being possessed, and the Warrens are determined to have him acquitted of the murder charge. Though all the Conjuring movies are gripping, this one is the best, the terror starting right from the onset.
Then tonight I was hunting around for something interesting to watch on TV when I recognized John's face on the programme 'Fringe'. "That does it...!" I thought. "I'm going to find out more about him, including his height."
I could see that he was considerably taller than Vera Farmiga, and I reckoned on 5ft11 - 6ft, the same sort of height range as Patrick Wilson, who plays Ed Warren in the Conjuring trilogy. This movie was made this very year. š
The first height I came across during my search this evening was all of 185cm, which I thought was a little on the fabricated side! John can have 5ft11.75 for his peak and 5ft11.25 for today's height. The actor is 73 years of age.

I wouldnt say 179cm for Noble thats too low, with Rob he looks roughly 3 inches taller I think 5ft 11 is fine but 5ft 10.75 isnt impossible.

Why you still have them at 6'1 and 6'2 then? Hell, you can even argue Lance can look a couple inches taller in some scenes, 1.75 inches is very possible actually! 1.5 is really the minimum difference you can objectively see... I personally would give Lance 6'2.5 and Joshua 6'0.75, but i know you'll never do that! Choose yourself what to give them but put them 1.5 inches apart, at least!

Editor Rob 181 range maybe was more possible on Fringe, but as I say I think on that show he never had as good a posture as he does in person, which I'd say was good for age 66. My sneakers are 0.7in, his looked around 0.6-0.7 I'd call them.

Also he looked around the same height as Viggo Mortensen, Sean Bean, and David Wenham all who are in the 5'10/5'11 range. In Fringe he also looks a legit 5'11 though in almost all the episodes he hunches a lot! 6'0 was probably his peak height. Great actor and very nice to meet!

Great guy.I heard he was always pranked by the Sabbath members for years.when I brought it up to him he replied in a serious and somewhat spooked voice"it NEVER stops!". I never forgot that! I read they pulled his shorts down while he had a cup of tea in one hand and an umbrella in the other,in front of 20,000 people! he was a guest at the show when Vinny temp replaced him.the name of the KERRANG article was "My balls have been flashed around the world so many times".it doesnt get more funnier than that!

Yeah, on several albums in the 1970s, he was standing the same hieght as Ozzy, who was 5'10". Bill Ward may have shrunk due to age, but Ozzy shrunk because of other reasons.
Yeah, on several albums in the 1970s, he was standing the same hieght as Ozzy, who was 5'10". Bill Ward may have shrunk due to age, but Ozzy shrunk because of other reasons.

Like Ozzy, he's giving his peak height and not what he's currently at. It's a denial/pride thing. Clint Eastwood does it. They all do. People refuse to admit that they shrunk, except for Hulk Hogan. As least he's honest about it.
