Looks five inches taller than Murray there.

Canson, I’d put him on that. Clearly taller than Cilic and Zverev (not a full 6ft6, IMO)

He looks taller than Anthony Joshua, with Andy Murray.

He could be a strong 6’6”.

He's 6'6.5. Cilic is only 6'5.5.

Rob, I'm starting to think this guy could be 6ft6½!

Taller than Cilic as well

He can easily pass for 6ft7
Editor Rob
Sometimes that figure could seem possible. The majority seem to think he measures a fraction over 6ft 6.

Rob, maybe upgrade Del Potro?

He looks taller than Anthony Joshua, with Andy Murray.
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 27/Feb/22
There is no way him and Alex Zverev are the same height, Juan is taller than every photo I posted on his page...he also looks too similar to Kevin Anderson in this photo while Alex is struggling to look much if at all over 6ft5 with him (see his page)

Click Here clearly losing more than an inch here, better posture and he'd be roughly the same

He's gotta be a strong 6ft6 at least and 6ft6½ wouldn't surprise me either. He makes Andy Murray look average!
Canson said on 24/Feb/22
@Rampage: he could easily qualify for it at lunchtime. He’s no less than this at his afternoon height
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 17/Oct/21
Rob, any chance of a slight boost?

Most are in agreement that Juan is a little over 6ft6....while Zverev could very well be a little under 6ft6
Editor Rob
Not ruled the 1/4 inch out!
Chris Junior Hernandez 1990 said on 7/Apr/21
Juan look too tall looking for a flat 6'6.
Canson said on 11/Mar/21
Agree with Recapa and Rampage. Could qualify as a guy similar to Warheim or Carmelo Anthony. May be 1/4” or 1/8” under listed like Christian said but he surely isn’t under this mark. Easily edges out a guy Anthony Joshua or Rick Fox or even Bill Deblasio’s size
Lafferty said on 16/Jan/21
From what I've seen closer to 199cm.
recapa said on 12/Nov/20
198.5-199cm .
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 29/Aug/20
Yeah 198.5-199cm range could be dead on for him.
Arch Stanton said on 27/Aug/20
The masses are often right, 198.6cm could be spot on!
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 25/Aug/20
I agree with Christian. A little over this is possible. 6ft7 though is a bit much except morning/out of bed
Christian 6'5 3/8" said on 6/May/20
I wouldn't disagree at all with a 1/8" upgrade for him.

198cm.

Could be 199cm early in the day.
George Stavrinides said on 8/Sep/19
He's definitely a solid 6ft6, probably approaching 6ft7. He towers over players like Nadal and Federer and is usually noticeably taller than other players who are listed the same height,

@Jdubbz: possible. I would actually upgrade Wareheim to 6’6.25 myself and it’s possible he falls into the same category

I think he is more 199 than 198
Tunman said on 27/Jun/18
Indeed,I read that despite his height he hit puberty quite late and was only 183 at the age of 15,so it's very possible he gained height from 18 to 20.He seems a legit enough 6'6.Isner has a chance of being 6'9.5"
Johnson said on 11/Jun/18
@Tunman but he was 19 when he claimed 1.97 he could gain a bit of height the next year
Tunman said on 9/Jun/18
@Johnson
It would be strange if he turns only 197,if anything he could look every bit of 6'6,well maybe he dips to 197,5 after a game? Not impossible.Ultimately most also agreed that Murray was able to push 188-9 before he claimed 187,5.

Rob, he is taller 198cm... No less than 2 meters... Needs an upgrade

Juan Martin del Potro is in the 18th place of tallest tennis player in the world. I found a clip of the youngest and tallest player Reilly Opelka maybe same height as Ivo Karlovic. Interesting that he was atually measure 83 inches 210.8cm with tennis footwear last year. The measurement may affect the perception by others of all players height was at least listed with 3cm thick shoes.

@Bidegain please put the source or link of that Argentinian newspaper. I need to read that. I am interested on it
Bidegain said on 13/Sep/17
According to Argentine newspapers, Delpo is about 2m 01 cm or 6'7"...but he claims less out of "vanity".....hahaha and the shorter players, like Kei Nishikori who claims to be 5'10" (1m 78 cm) is nowhere that tall...same with Ferrer...
Who knows why everybody wants to be different...??

One of the examples where Robs estimation is too low. 6-5 Raonic is about 2" shorter than del Potro: Click Here
Del Potro must be taller than 6-6, more like 6-6,5 - 6-7
Reece said on 16/Jul/17
Cillic looks 6-6 fully. He has 2 inches on 6-4 Kyrgios who has 3 inches on 6-1 Federer. Maybe 6-5 1-/2 before bed
Zahid said on 14/Jul/17
He is comfortably taller than 6'6" listed players like Cilic. Even though I think Cilic is more like 6'5.5"
Arch Stanton said on 23/Jun/17
Del Potro reminds me a lot of Huey Lewis facially but with a body like Brad Garrett!
Arch Stanton said on 21/Jun/17
I'm not sure he can look a 2.01 6'7 but I can see him measuring 6'6.5 at times. For me 6'6.25 would be the fairer listing as he looks a bit over 6'6 more often than he looks 6'6 flat in my eyes.
Reece said on 21/Jun/17
@Arch. With Murray Del Po can even look 6-7.he looks 6-7 with Bernard tomic who is 6-4 3/4 and even he is a fair bit shorter.
Arch Stanton said on 9/Jun/17
With Murray and Federer I admit that he doesn't look over 6'6 flat, but in a lot of the comparisons he can really look 199 range. Maybe his lowest is 6'6 on the nose after a long match.
Arch Stanton said on 8/Jun/17
Click Here With John Isner who claims 6 ft 10 I think.
Arch Stanton said on 8/Jun/17
Click Here That;s a good inline photo. Compare him to big Karlovic and Safin further down.
Click Here Click Here With 6'11 Karlovic holds his own pretty well, can't see 5 inches. 6'6.25 overall is fair I think, he can look 6'6.5 a lot but with Federer can look 6'6 flat, 6'6.25 is in between and not impossible he measures a little above the mark.

i think he 199 and raonic 195 is suitable, pics of them say that it's not just 2cm different of them for sure.

Agreed, I think that would be spot on.
Arch Stanton said on 8/Jun/17
Rob do you think 6'6.25 might be fairer and give him a more solid 6'6 listing? I know you're unlikely to give it but he can really look it, it's the average guess here too after 37 votes. With Raonic I see more than 2cm, I think Raonic at 6'4.75 and Portro at 6'6.25 would be more accurate Click Here Click Here
Editor Rob
I think he's a solid enough 6ft 6 guy, I can see how at times 1/4 inch over looks likely as well. I don't know how much variation in tennis sneaker heights there will be, sometimes there may be fraction differences.

Del Potro's one of the few listed 6ft6 guys on here who is actually a legit 6ft6. He genuinely looks it.
Retyzed245 said on 27/Mar/17
Del Potro came into the tennis club I play at to prepare for a Davis Cup tie. He was far taller and bigger than I thought he'd be, and he had to stoop under all of the doorways. I'm 5'9" and I barely came up to his shoulder. My 6'5" mate said he was a good bit taller than him even. The guy has massive hands and feet too. I'd say he was 6'7" at least - he might have grown an inch since he was last measured properly.
Balrog said on 14/Mar/17
Big chance he's a bit over 6'6". He probably clears 6'7" out of bed.
Matt said on 11/Mar/17
Del Potro is huge. i really think he is 6,6.5 or 6-6.75 and is rounding down to 6,6.looks a solid 4 inches taller than Andy Murray who look 6,2.5 to me.
MadDrummer said on 26/Jan/17
He makes Murray look like a shrimp, and I see at least 1.75" between him and Raonic, who is probably 6'4.75". He is probably closer to 6'7" than 6'6".
Chris said on 9/Jan/17
Saw him in person but just in passing. My 186/187 friend was about where Andy would measure up with just below the eyebrow. He was a couple of inches taller than me so listing is decent because I'm a solid 6"4. Though that makes me think raonic maybe shorter.
dpp said on 11/Nov/16

Thanks for Adding Del Potro, Huge guy, great player, Does look a legit 6'6 to me could be 199cm but good listing overall
Michael said on 8/Oct/16
6-6 is too low for del Potro, obviously. He seems to be 6-6,5 to 6-7: Click Here
(with "6-5" Milos Raonic). Here with "187,5 cm" (6-1,75) Andy Murray: Click Here
There is clearly more than 4" between the two. John Isner was listed at 6-9 and was measured
at 6-10. Ivo Karlovic was listed at 6-10 and was measurded at 6-11. There are many wrong listings.
heightchecker34 said on 6/Oct/16
Yeah, 6'6 on the dot. He towers over most of the players, including legit 6'1-6'2 guys. I think he has past his peak in terms of achievements on the court (2009 US Open). Nonetheless, an exciting tennis player with a lot of grit and passion. There are a lot of tall players these days, usually in the 6'3-6'6 range, it's quite interesting, perhaps due to nutrition and exercise. The Tower of Tandil still stands!
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 6/Oct/16
No less than 4in on Murray, I reckon.
Arch Stanton said on 6/Oct/16
Though in fairness in most shots with Murray he looks a flat 6'6, that is if Murray really is 187.5, which I think is probably his legit low. Potro might be a guy who wakes up nearer 6 ft 7 though.
