True in photos the difference can look at least 4 inches. In a few advertisement photos for Nip Tuck they used some method to make the difference between the 2 only look 2.5-3inches tops. Alex says on 28/Nov/08

Sometimes on Nip Tuck Julian and Dylan can look closer in height than other times. I've seen as much as 4.5-5 inches and as low as 2-3 inches. They will make angles to have Dylan look closer in height while he's clearly a good couple inches shorter. Dylan looks to be 5'9 flat and Julian 6'1.5 minimum. Josh says on 13/Nov/08

Nope he's really tall, maybe lying the other way, as in taller than he says. Saw an interview with some-one on the red carpet where he towered over a female reporter, then very sneekily leant against something so he dropped to just over a few inches higher. Kept his shoulders square so he did not look like he was ducking down.
Has a sneeky tall man's crouch so he looks more on eye level than he is.
Also saw some reports from fans who got close, (as in arm around) at the Paley festival and their reports are he is a big, big man, much bigger than he looks on screen. They were quite shocked at how big and tall he is in real life.
