How tall is Justin Bruening
5ft 8 Rob and Justin @ MCM Comic Con London, 2011
The first half of my life, I was a dork. I was 5-feet-1, 100 pounds. I looked like a girl; I had the feminine-feature thing going. I had one girlfriend when I was a junior [in high school]; that didn’t work out. So, then I go to college and I grow. The first half of my life I was a dork and no girls would talk to me. Then, I go to college and I grow and I’m 6-feet-3, 200 pounds. Women still wouldn’t talk to me. The weirdest damn thing! It baffled me.

Weak 6'1", from all pictures available, including and especially the one with Rob.

6'2 is abit too high to be honest, most likely around 6'1.5-6'1.75 (186.5-187cm).
Andrea said on 8/Sep/20
He does look over 185-6 with Rob, but a weak 6'2 - 6'1.5-6'1.75 - definitely looks closer with both Tom and Rob.

i think he could be like 1/8 over 6 foot 2. looks very legit 188. When he claims 6 foot 3 i dont really think of it as a lie, he have probably been measured close to 190 cm in the morning and another time later on the day at just over 188 and goes with the tallest. Although guys that measrues 186 and claim 190 and so on is just lying. Also a lot of guy dont care of small fractions and if they are measrued just under a height they round up. I personally say 6 foot 5 most of the time, ore a little over, i dont care about half inch. But its funny to see how mutch people lie about there height because at my hehight most people guess me at 198-200 cm cause i guess most guys my height lie that they are 2 meter

@Jordan87

6'2" is 95th percentile, which means he's taller than 19 out of 20 men. But height inflation doesn't surprise me one bit anymore, I've seen a lot of people his height claim 6'3" and some even 6'4".

@Slim: I also agree with Rampage and Christian. Looking at the stances and footwear diff the most I buy is 6’2 flat. Rob also met Mangianello and had him 6’5” but then lowered him 1/4” and another poster here Max 6’5.5 met him and said he had an inch. Rob is excellent at what he does but is human
Editor Rob
actually in hindsight, this guy in person looked no taller than brett dalton did, similar type of footwear difference, so maybe he isn't over 6ft 2 flat.
Christian-6'5 3/8 said on 19/Oct/17
@Slim 6'

Weak 6'2" basically means around 6'1.75" which isn't really different from 6'2-6'2.25" like you guess him at. 187.4cm and 188.3cm is only 0.9cm difference. A flat 6'2" is also possible for Justin best case, but not over that. Rampage thinks 187-188cm and I agree with him.
Slim 6' said on 18/Oct/17
Sorry Christian, he has 15 CM on rob including his footwear disadvantage.

6'2"-6'2.25" is where he'd measure at.

That's pretty generous footware, Hasselhoff would appear 194 - 195 cm in it instead of 193. So Bruening at 188 - 189 cm is likely.
Lo sgozzatore said on 17/Jun/13
Well, in this single pic he doesnt look a big 6'2 guy but i saw him with David Hassellhoff and considering that Hassellhoff had cowboy boots and this guy had thin shoes, he actually looks all the 6'2, maybe even a bit over it, as listed
Mike said on 11/Jun/13
Looks to be about a 5ish inch difference in that picture, if he stood up straighter he could get another half inch or so, I would give him 6'1.5-.75 based on this picture, maybe 6'2 if you take the footwear into account.

Justin is over Rob exactly by the half of the Rob's head, which is (supposedly) 10". So Justin is 5'8"(Rob's height)+5"(advantage)+1/3"(shoes difference)=6'1 1/3". If we take into account his slouching (Rob also slouches, but slightly less), we may get 6'1.5". Justin could get 6'2", if stretched extremely during the measuring. 6'2.25" is barely possible.

By the way, Rob, what is the exact height of your head? It would be a good measuring tool. :)

Looks a good 186 cm here to me. Taking footware into account 187 cm, 6'1.5" - 6'1.75" range. But it's just one photo, and he could well be a half inch taller than that, which would correspond to the listing.
Alex 6ft 0 1/8 said on 3/Feb/13
Rob, no chance of 6'1.5? not saying hes def that height but he looks shy of 6'2 in this picture
Editor Rob
I doubt he's less than 6ft 1.5, I think 6ft 2 is fair game for him.
Alex 6ft 0 1/8 said on 2/Feb/13
I would have guessed more 6'1.5 taking into the 1/3 footwear. I dont see 6'2-6'2.25 here
Lo sgozzatore said on 2/Feb/13
Actually in the photo he doesnt look 6 inches taller... But if Rob said he looked 6'2 range, i trust him, since he looked at least that with David Hasselhoff, considering he also had noticeable shoe disadvantage...
Jamesy said on 1/Feb/13
Yeah actually he does only look 6 inches taller than rob
Lo sgozzatore said on 31/Jan/13
Great RoelC, that's why Hasselhoff did look 2-2.5 inches taller... And this also shows that Bruening is no less than 6'2-6'2.25 as Rob said...
John said on 31/Jan/13
I see just anywhere from 5.5-6 height difference. It is a little bit deceptive the way the picture is...you can tell if you look closely that Justin's head is not just not straight side to side-wise, but it is also leaned forward a bit. You have to remember to push Rob back in a plain with Justin, then straighten both of them out. I used to be lousy at estimating heights from pics, but have gotten quite good at it recently from practicing on here :)

5'8 and a bit + 5.5-6+.333= 6'2-6'2.5, so 6'2.25 is an ideal compromise until more pics with evidence are shown for this guy. Because of the angle of the pic etc. that's as close as you can get I'm afraid.
Editor Rob
if you pushed me back you'd be moving me from the same plane to a further plane...that's all :)

There's a pic of him and 6'4" David Hasselhoff giving a thumbs up and he looks significantly shorter like maybe 3" but it's tough to judge footwear, posture, angle, etc.

I take it you're referring to this pic: Click Here
Bruening has his head lowered, which creates the illussion that there's a large height difference between the two, but I don't think there's more than 2-3 inches between the two.

Hasselhoff was wearing large cowboyboots (which he always does) Click Here
Whereas Bruening is wearing converse sneakers Click Here

So I'd say Hasselhoff has at least an 1 inch footwear advantage in the picture of the two of them.

Editor Rob
yes it is quite possible
Nils said on 30/Jan/13
6'2.25 is very generous Rob ;)
This is how i look with someone around 5'8 and i'm only 6'1
maybe he's abit more considering the footwear but over 6'2 he just wont reach i think.
Lo sgozzatore said on 30/Jan/13
James, this show how bad you are at estimating heights... :) He looks nowhere near 6'3 with Rob. I think he looks 6'1.5 at best, plus the shoe disadvantage "about" 6'2...
Editor Rob
yeah he's no 6ft 3 guy, I'd be surprised if he was outwith the 6ft 2-6ft 2.25 range.
Jamesy said on 29/Jan/13

Josh B said on 28/Jan/13
I don't see this guy above 6'1.5 even with a shoe disadvantage.
Lo sgozzatoer said on 27/Jan/13
I saw those pics with David Hasselhoff and i'd say there are two inches between them. But Hasselhoff is a big 6'4, so about 6'2 range for this guy is right
sprint84 said on 27/Jan/13
Sorry, I guess Rob had the footwear advantage so 6'1.5" is probably closer. Agree with FUNK 6'3" seems like an in-shoes rounded-up kind of height. There's a pic of him and 6'4" David Hasselhoff giving a thumbs up and he looks significantly shorter like maybe 3" but it's tough to judge footwear, posture, angle, etc.
Yaspaa said on 26/Jan/13
Rob's face looks a little closer to the camera.
Trent said on 26/Jan/13
Rob comes just under this guy's eyes. That is probably a good 5 inches considering Justin is taller than average. Plus he loses 1/3" to shoes and seems to be tipping his head a bit more than Rob is. So overall I would say 6 inches of difference.

Rob is a strong 5'8 so Justin would be in the 6'2 - .25 range.

Rob might appear higher up on Justin but I think that is because the top of his head is kind of forward, giving the impression of its peak being slightly higher.

So I have to disagree with you guys and say this listing is good.
sprint84 said on 26/Jan/13
I would guess 6'1" - 6'1.5" from the photo. Justin has footwear and slight posture advantage over Rob and looks maybe 5" taller.
Trent said on 25/Jan/13
6'2.25 is a good listing.
The Horse of FUNK said on 25/Jan/13
Eh, I see more 6'1.5" here. That 6'3" might be with footwear.

his claim does look rounded up a bit yeah.
Mike said on 29/Mar/11
I'd also peg him at 6'2". There's a photo somewhere with Deanna standing in front of him with heels ( she's about 5'8" - 5'9" ish , so with heals, probably around 6' max) and she looked almost as tall as he did, maybe an inch or so shorter. So I'd say between 6'1.5-6'2" for Justin.
Mike said on 11/Feb/11
I agree with most comments on his height. No way 6'3". I'd pin him as 6'2" at the MOST. There was a picture of him and Hasselhoff giving the thumbs up, and Hasselhoff had at LEAST 2" on him.

He can't be 6'3". The Hoff towers over the guy at 6'4". I'd definately downgrade this guy. 6'0"-6'1"...?
Joakim said on 6/Feb/09
Whne I saw Justin in that scene in the Knight Rider pilot where they where standing next to eachother at the funeral. Then I thought that he was a 6'3" guy which was also stated in his perosnal file in the same episode.

However I have come to doubt it now, he simply just look shorter, after seeing him in episode 1 of the series where I saw him next to his co star Deanna Russo and also others I simply thinks he is shorter.

Now when I have seen this picture with him and Hasselhoff from the premiere of Knight Rider:

Then I think that confirms my suspicion, he is easily atleast 3" shorter then the 6'4"(193cm) Hoff making him no more then 6'1" or about 185cm-186cm and that is also my estimate from seeing him in episode 1 of the series.
Doink said on 1/Dec/08
Unless everybody else in the new Knight Rider series is a giant, theres no way in hell hes 6ft 3. I'd say 6ft 1 MAX.

I disagree with WantingtoBe6FT. I say that Justin Bruenung looks like 6'3''tall. He is an inch shorter than David Hasselhoff. So 6'2.5 is an inaccurate depiction.

The photo from ed2 is misleading because Bruening doesn't stand up straight. This one is better but the photo is tilted in Hasselhoff's favor: Click Here . In Knight Rider pilot Bruening looked about an inch shorter that Hasselhoff (in the cemetery scene Bruening spread his legs so he might appear a bit shorter than he really is) so about 6'3" seems right (he looks tall and large on that show).
