Why don't you take a look at what dirk was listed at in Germany? or what his pre-draft measurement was? He is 6'10.5 at most. plus take a look at him next to other players labeled 7 foot he always looks smaller.

Kg was measured 6'11 barefoot and 7'1 with shoes before the 95 draft. Since then hes grown to 6 ft 11.75 in (213 cm). He could've been listed 7'1 if he wanted to but didn't want to be considered a 7footer, because he was afraid of being forced to play center. Nba listings are never accurate since u can never know if they used the height in shoes or barefoot. I.e. Kevin durant is listed at 6'9 while dwight howard is listed at 6'11, even though they were both measured at 6'9 barefoot and 6'10~6'10.25 with shoes before the draft.

the NBA measures their players with shoes ON, since on the court while playing their shoes are ON, take into account they also round up the halves, and round down the .4 and down, then different types of shoes AND shoe sizes give minimal height gains ONTOP of the average 1" - 1.5" gain. The definition of legit height in the NBA is always going to be unclear, since some people consider barefoot legitimate while others say no one plays basketball barefoot, the shoe factor is the legitimate height.

Garnett was fully 6'11" barefoot in the '95 Draft at age 19, and old Minneapolis newspapers have articles on his growth afterward. His WP article has some good sources for his current listing (which is accurate, perhaps slightly low, even) for those who think he should be lowered.

Ridiculous saying Tim Duncan is 6'10. He's often been questioned about his height, which he most likely listed at 6'11 because he didn't want to play back to the basket the same way KG, Dirk and Walton probably did it. He calls himself 6'12 and that may be an understatement. If hes 6'10 he's the tallest 6'10 to ever exist

Bradley never had 2 inches on Yao. what are you talking about? there is 1 good picture of the two. and almost all game videos, Yao actually appears to be same height or even taller sometimes. if bradley is taller than it's only by 1/2 inches.

Seeing boston games, Shaq and Garnett look pretty much identical in terms of height on the court. However, Shaq's more slouched and large and Garnett's thin and broad. Garnett never looks deciecively shorter than anyone else on the court, so I'd say 7'0.25 barefoot is a good measurement for Garnett, Here's a video of him next to 6'11 Rasheed Wallace and he clearly looks a good 1-2 inches taller, i think that is enough evidence to suggest that Garnett is 7 foot+ Click Here
