Robs head comfortably surpasses nose tip by an inch and with mamun, mamuns head is about half inch above lou's nose tip but his trainers look like they could pack a punch.
Lou is leaning slightly in both pics but remember, it don't take much away from total height since your just changing the tip of head position.

Yo...Tape Worm is 100% correct on everything he said...Lou is 6'3 1/2" today...and in his prime up until the mid 90's was 6'4 1/2". He is also 100% correct on the effects on height perception from movies & TV. I've been in two movies..."Leatherheads" & "We are Marshall" I played a random football player in both. And small tweaks in camera angles, stances, markers, spacing & footwear can make actors heights look all over the map. I'm 5'11" barefoot...and in one scene I look 2" taller than Clooney who is also 5'11" or just a hair under. Stood beside both Clooney & John Krasinski while we were all barefoot'd during costume changes between takes & such. And George is 5'10 3/4" to 5'11" and Krasinski is a strong 6'2 1/2" almost 6'3". Lou was 6' 4.5 in 1976, I was there for his being measured in a Brooklyn gym.
Although like anyone else, the discs between our vertibrae wear thin with age and excessive compression(especially with Weight lifters/body builders etc..).
Lou Presently stands at 6'3.5". I asked him about it specifically at a Comicon 2011.
As for comparrison heights via photographs and TV or Movies, there are a number of factors that make actors or anyone for that matter, appear much different than what is actual fact.
on Night Court, Lou was Purposely slouching, leaning back and rounding his shoulders forward.
This was ON PURPOSE, to both make him look much shorter that the 6'8" Richard Moll,(although previously unofficially measured at 6'6" ) John Laroquette was 6'4 at the time Lou was on Night court.
MORE importantly , is that a person standing as little as 6 inches closer to a camera with a straight on shot will create the illusion of a gain in height of the closer person in the pic.. Also add an angle from a foot lower (for example) will have the same effect. When actors, especially action stars will round off their height to the higher end of an inch. Also base their height on when in shoes.(several reason s for that, but another time).
The shorter Big Draw $ actors in films are very very commonly cast among shorter co-stars, helping in making them appear taller than they actually are,ask Tom Cruise.;} ALSO IMPORTANT about films, is that when you have a Tall actor avge 6'2-6'5" (which considered tall by Hollywood standards), and much shorter actors/actresses they need to have one on a 'lift ramp, & other techniques. The "closer to the camera" being most common among men, but with woman the ramp ( raised marked area) most used or in order to fit in the motion picture frames or TV etc.. The only way to accurately compare 2 individuals in height is eather a Dr.s scale or barefoot back to back.
I've measured hndreds of lifters/body builders/athletes & more as a Pro trainer running a large gym in NY .I took all measurements from height to fat percentages and all body parts. I have been begged, bribed & threatened to reveal some Body builders (mostly) arm , leg , waist and or Chest measurements. you'd be shocked if you knew what I do about size reality among the Body builder magazines lies, even when they show a pic with a tape measure that either have a finger or 2 in it out of view, or loose and folded too. NO LIES Here. My nick name was "Tape Worm" for 20 years, I would challenge any one I felt was boasting a lie about arms , or chest.Those 2 are the most common. The truely huge guys/gals didn't care.
I'm sorry to over do it like that but I hope I could help clarify what can cause so many different claims or questions.
