In this covnention photo she had heels which gave her about 1.5 inches more thickness than my sneakers. Her agency listed her height as 5ft 6 (167cm) and her weight as 10 stones 4lbs (144 pounds).

Louise is on my TV right now. She has a much shorter daughter in Emmerdale, Rhona, who is only about 5ft1.

Louise has joined the soap Emmerdale, after previously starring in EastEnders around 20 years ago.
I wouldn’t say there’s been much shrinkage to her height, other than what you might subconsciously expect when you suddenly see someone with snow white hair.

Tenko has started showing on the Drama channel, immediately after Classic EastEnders. Louise is starring in both.
With just one glimpse at Tenko, you can't help but think how tall the ladies look in comparison to the Japanese, who are keeping them prisoner, in this famous POW drama series from 1981-85. Stephanie Beacham, who I believe is 166cm, also looks tall next to the Japanese.
I'm giving Louise 5ft6.5 for her peak and 5ft5.5 for nowadays. 😁🌹

Editor RobHeight can vary like posture, camera position. Louise probably had lost a fraction of height by that age, although still looked fit and healthy up close.

When Louise started out as Doctor Who's helper, there was quite a to-do about the Doc having 'such a tall' assistant. I was still pretty much a kid then, but I did read newspapers and telly mags and I distinctly remember reading 5ft8 for Louise's height. 'Tall and glamorous' is how she was described, not to mention a reason for the Dads to join in with their kids to watch the Saturday evening teatime treat!
When I see how petite many of the former girls were, they were certainly venturing in on pastures new with an above-average heighted girl, but who'd have believed then that one day the Doctor would be incarnated into a GIRL?
