he's a tall guy but not 6ft3, he lives near where i go to college in twickenham and i've walked past him several times, i'm 6ft 2.5 flat foot and was taller than him. i'd put him around 6ft1.5.

Total BS man. I like this MM a lot so don't take it the wrong way but he is just over 6ft tall. He's 6ft 1.5 in shoes. Keira Knightley is 5ft 9 in high heels so take your cue from that.

He definetely looks 6'3, I watched Marple: A Pocket Full of Rye, and he was a good 3 inches taller than 6'0 Ralf Little he was tallest actor I saw, he looked like a tall man, I would put him 6'3, that was height i predicted him when I saw him, tall actor.

I'd say he was taller than 6 ft. 2, by an inch or so. His wife, Keeley Hawes, is 5'8/9 ish and she's at least a head and a bit shorter than him and I wouldn't say she was short.

official bio says he's 6' 3" , and I believe he's that or more after watching "The Way We Live Now" (and if you've seen his DVD extra for "In My Father's Den" you know he's quite uncomfortable talking about himself for the camera.)

i loved this movie...they actually did a good job keeping his height fairly normal-looking, and i really wish they did more dvd interviews with him!
