He just has bad posture, and looks short standing next to these notorious lift wearers like Cruise and Depp. Looks about 5'7.5" Depp had about 2 inches on him with boots on if you watch the Public Enemies extra features.

5'7 seems generous for him.. TELLEM says on 20/Mar/09
mann at 5'6? the man wore lifts next to pacino and de niro??? Mr. R says on 19/Mar/09
I met Michael when I filmed the movie "Ali" with Will Smith. He directed the film, and I saw him on the set for two days in a row. He is about 5-6. He was so short, that we started calling him "Michael Half a Man"! (Of course not to his face!) TELLEM says on 19/Mar/09
cruise probably did wear special shoes...he looked 5'8 next to al pacino and about the same height as robert de niro in the making of heat Amok says on 15/Dec/08
Funny because I have the Collateral special edition DVD and in the making of collateral, Michael Mann appears next to Tom Cruise several times, and he's at least 2 inches shorter than Cruise. Which mean than he is shorter than 5'6" (according to this site). Of course Cruise could've worn special shoes throughout the shooting of the movie. Anonymous says on 5/Feb/08
Met him earlier today, definitely 5' 8" Mands says on 1/Aug/07
I saw Frampers at Shepherds Bush Empire in about 2003. Fist time I'd never seen him live. For some reason, I expect tall thin older version of how he appears on the back of Frampton Comes Alive, was quite surprised he was short and rather bald! That said, he was totally amazing though!! That's pathetic. sf says on 31/Mar/07
Frampton's coming to the local casino here in Des Moines, Iowa. I guess I'll go see him. A far cry from '77... Brad says on 29/Mar/07
I couldn't get a ticket to see him at Madison Square Garden in '77, nowadays he plays clubs nearby or as one guy who saw him at JFK Stadium in Philly (110,000 people) said "he was 109,700 people less 25 years later in Philly". Wow! sf says on 5/Mar/07
Yea, Frampton really got screwed, or allowed himself to be screwed. But, poor guy - the absolute biggest thing in the late 70's and then....you gotta watch your money and what people are doing with it.
I didn't realize he was this short. J. says on 4/Mar/07
Wow, what happened to all his pretty hair? LOL. Brad says on 4/Mar/07
He was still awesome in '85, looking just great. His recorded output went in the toilet. Bowie used him as another guitar player on one tour to "pay his rent". It just sick seeing him play a bar a friend of mine played the week before. He still sings & plays the same. That's the sad thing. He is rumoured to be the largest loser of $ in rock through poor management. I think Billy Joel is right up there. Tens of millions. Anthony says on 29/Nov/06
My gosh has he aged! 171 seems right. Brad says on 8/Aug/06
5' 7". Wait'll his autobiography gets written. 70,000 people at Mile High Stadium then I see him 10 years later with 150 people in a dirty theater 5 miles away. He got ripped off blind and made a right turn from the '75 Frampton. Danimal says on 22/Jan/06
Man has he changed in 30 years!!! Yeah, he's 5'7" anc change and I'm sure was at least 5'8" in his younger days. |
