Wow, would've thought he'd be a bit taller than that, like 5'10" at least.

Probably got faked out due to him often playing opposite short Iwan Rheon (Ramsay), who's only 5'7.5"

Wow, I honestly thought he was like 6'2 when watching the show. Maybe his cold, intimidating demeanor made him look taller to me.

I'm not sure he's really that tall. Here we have photo of him standing on a red carpet near Aidan Gillen (Littlefinger) Click Here And while Aidan seems to be about 5"8.5'/5"9' Michael looks slightly shorter than him. And they wear both flat shoes, if anything Michael's sneakers add a tiny bit more height than Converse chucks.

In Game of Thrones however he seems to be slightly taller than Aidan, but it's hard to say because of their shoes. Roose Bolton's sturdy boots could add 1-2 inches, especially if they want him to appear taller than Ramsay and "short" Littlefinger. The GoT costume department always pays attention to this, they also gave Sophie Turner heels to make her obviously taller than Littlefinger because it's canon that Sansa is taller than him.

I'm actually surprised to see Michael listed as 175cm here. At most he appeared to be 174cm when standing next to Iwan Rheon, who is around 171-172cm. Hopefully you will be able to meet him in person Rob, much like some other GoT actors, to see if he is a true 175cm guy.

Yeah, an average heighted looking guy, similar height to Madden. Great voice, reminds a bit of Alan Rickman's, thus a born villain!

Rob, it's funny because if you look at this site, you find guys like Kristian Nairn, Hafthor, Ian Whyte or Clive Russell (or even Gwendoline as a woman) and you could think that the cast of GOT is very tall but if you look at the main characters there are a lot of average or even shortish actors (see Alfie Allen, Kit Harington, this guy, Conleth Hill, Aiden Gillen, Iwan Rheon, Richard Madden,...)!!! And of course the shortest but still the best one Peter Dinklage!

I remember during the scene of Sansa's wedding, there was a clear shot of him standing next to 172 Iwan Rheon and there was a good 3 cm between them. Looked nearly identical to Richard Madden as well.
