Captain Spaulding says on 11/Feb/12
yea he was def 6'4" at his peak. maybe still is now, considering that he dwarfs rob even though hes leaning down
Tom101 says on 23/Dec/11
he is,i've met him,hes defo 6.4ish still. James says on 19/Dec/11
here's the clip again. he looks massive and in submerged looked huge as well and gave a taller impression than steven seagal in that movie.
in midsummer murders recently he still looked like a really tall guy and has not lost a great deal from his peak. Shaun says on 18/Dec/11
James provided a clip of him on The Bill in 1988 and he looked 100% every bit of a legit 6'4". ANDREA[ITA] says on 18/Dec/11
Rob, why does he look 6'2.5 in this pic? Is he standing straight or not?
[Editor Rob: I think dropping an inch from measured height, but then I am dropping a bit aswell.
] ChiasmataX says on 12/Dec/11
Nvm, after a good look he can be 192-193cm no problem if he stand straight up. ChiasmataX says on 21/Nov/11
[Editor Rob: could be an inch difference yes]
No Rob just compare this guy to the 186.8cm guy from height challenge # 8. You and the other guys are way off on this one. He's probably a solid 6 feet 2.5 guy at most (188-189cm range guy). Greenbolt says on 14/Nov/11
I see a lot more than a 0.5'' inch difference between this guy and McPartlin. Even taking account Brimble's posture, this guy looks like he needs a downgrade to 6'3.75'', wouldn't you say, Rob?
[Editor Rob: could be an inch difference yes] george555 says on 18/Oct/11
he could be 6'3, i would say 6'2.75. LAN Jiao says on 12/Oct/11
Did't look near 6'4.5 ryan mcpartlin. 6'4 not a chance. 190-191cm straight up. Shaun says on 10/Oct/11
Well he doesn't look as tall as George Romero Andreaita. Looks 6'3"here but his posture is poor. James says on 3/Oct/11
he could still be 6'3 1/2. he didn't look less than 6'3-6'4 in Midsummer Murders for sure. george555 says on 29/Sep/11
he looks more like 6'2.75-6'3.25, 6'4 is a little too much. Tom101 says on 24/Sep/11
im 6'2.5" and he is defo taller, saw him in london at a cafe, stood 3 feet away and is around the 6'4 mark upwards with his shoes on. the shredder says on 20/Sep/11
Rob , what would you guess his weight ?
[Editor Rob: today maybe 200-205] Moke says on 16/Sep/11
I noticed a lot of tall older (60+) guys when I was in the States (AZ, CA) back in 2008. That was kind of weird cause compared to Switzerland and Germany where I live, old men tend to be significantly shorter then young adults as a result of worse life situations back in their youth. ANDREA[ITA] says on 8/Sep/11
He looks a legit 190 man! Hullywood says on 9/Jul/11
Surely over 1.90m. James says on 10/Jun/11
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover says on 6/Jun/11
Well James he quite lanky so maybe he could look taller than someone like Seagal whose heavier built
Submerged came out in 2005 so nick was probably 6'3.5 (192cm) on the nose back then.
So in Submerged
Steven Seagal 6'3 (191cm)
Nick Brimble 6'3.5 (192cm) Rampage(-_-_-)Clover says on 9/Jun/11
6ft4 peak
6ft3.25 today Lenad is sexy says on 6/Jun/11
Looks 6'3 max here. 6'4ish prime Rampage(-_-_-)Clover says on 6/Jun/11
Well James he quite lanky so maybe he could look taller than someone like Seagal whose heavier built James says on 20/May/11
WOW he looks tall here back on the bill in 1988
go to 7:58 on the video
Was probably a very solid 6'4 when younger James says on 20/May/11
Nick looked gigantic in submerged and gave of a taller impression than steven seagal.
Anyone seen him in the film? Chameleon says on 18/May/11
He lost a full inch? Im not convinced. Cranberries (6 ft. 3.25 evening, 17 years, says on 17/May/11
Agreed, James. James says on 16/May/11
6'3 today
6'4 peak Rampage(-_-_-)Clover says on 15/May/11
Probably around 6"3 today Physics Enemy says on 9/May/11
Again, he's leaning and the manlets start taking advantage. He's 6' 4", get over it everybody. That's one thing I like about Rob; he's a realist. He acknowledges his own height and acknowledges the height of others. No fudging or napoleon complex like the regular posters. James says on 29/Apr/11
Nah bending down looks no higher than 187-188cm, Rampage(-_-_-)Clover says on 27/Apr/11
Bending he looks a strong 6"2, 188-189cm James says on 24/Apr/11
near 6'3 illusion in the pic with his hairstyle. Chameleon says on 15/Apr/11
I agree. James says on 13/Apr/11
he really does not look over 6'2 in the photo Agnes says on 3/Apr/11
Hes got big feet, how big are they? James says on 29/Mar/11
rob do you think at his age its not unusual for a guy his size to lose 1 inch. very tall people do shrink more don't they?
[Editor Rob: proportionally yes, a 6ft 4 man would lose more than a 5ft 8 man] Chameleon says on 27/Mar/11
Rob did this guy actully looked 6ft4 to u?
[Editor Rob: he looked no less than 6ft 3] anon says on 20/Mar/11
He definitely does not look 190cm. Easily 6'4''. Rampage(-_-_-)Clover says on 19/Mar/11
Looks 190cm in the pic James says on 17/Mar/11
He probably looks bigger than he is becuase of he has very distinctive and broad features such as wide shoulders, big head and a strong jaw etc...... he has a commandeing presence on screen. James says on 16/Mar/11
Andrew yeah i thought on screen he could look a strong 6ft4 guy. Andrew1995 says on 15/Mar/11
with stretching his head, 6'4'' does look right in this image.
Rob, could it be his peak height was a bit higher since he's aging. shohs says on 15/Mar/11
he is not more thn 6'0 or 6'1 James says on 9/Mar/11
didn't look 6'4 near ted danson Shaun says on 8/Mar/11
Looks more 6'3" now I think, 6'4" peak. James says on 4/Mar/11
he looked similar in height to Ted Danson in Loch Ness. In fact Tom Selleck looked taller in comparison to Danson than Nick Brimble did. Larc 6 ft 1.5 in says on 3/Mar/11
Not 6'4, but certainly at least 6'2. Mathew says on 1/Mar/11
James says on 26/Feb/11
i'd go as far as saying he looks 185-186cm nodding his head down next to rob. he looks nowhere near 6'4 in the pic.
Hmm, I see 6'2" but yeah in this particular photo he certainly dose not look 6'4". James says on 26/Feb/11
i'd go as far as saying he looks 185-186cm nodding his head down next to rob. he looks nowhere near 6'4 in the pic. Mathew says on 17/Feb/11
He could be a former 6'4" who doesn't know he's now closer to 6'3". James says on 17/Jan/11
sorry i meant the bill LOL James says on 16/Jan/11
He looked huge when he appeared in the billy only 3-4 years ago. east meets west says on 14/Jan/11
I met Nick Brimble twice about 25 years ago and he really was very tall back then. Perhaps with age (or whatever) he has lost a bit of height - seems to happen to most of us eventually! The Fox says on 8/Jan/11
i remember him playing Big Billy in an episode of The Professionals. He has very strong gypsy features. Looks about 6ft5 on telly! Menace 195cm says on 6/Jan/11
really quite tall indeed, i think 193cm is just right, he is a tad shorter than me. haha James says on 4/Jan/11
In Submerged still looked 6'4 or 6'3.5? Anonymous says on 3/Jan/11
If he was really 6'4" the top of your head would be at his chin Anonymous says on 3/Jan/11
What's with all the Nick Brimble interest?! Bizarre.
Of course he lost a couple of inches after he was electrocuted in the 70s. Anonymous says on 1/Jan/11
In reply to Rob, please go look at your picture of you and Brandon Routh. You have him listed as 6'2.5 and this is exactly how he looks next to you in the photo of you and him.. James says on 1/Jan/11
He's still very tall at 6'3.25 (191cm). Was for sure a legit 6'4 in his day. Moke says on 29/Dec/10
@ Anonymous:
I dont think that's true. Just looks at most ex-basketball players: they stay in shape keeping their height, being often over 6'7. I think it is less a question of your stature but first of your general life-style (weight, habits, job, work out, nutrition, maybe even education). Anonymous says on 28/Dec/10
Rob, why do you have him at 6'4"? He barely looks 6'2" in this pic...
[Editor Rob: no he looked taller than 6ft 2 I'm pretty sure of that, as tall as 6ft 4, well who knows nowadays!] Rampage(-_-_-)Clover says on 23/Dec/10
Not 6"4
Looks 6"3.5 or 192cm max Rampage(-_-_-)Clover says on 22/Dec/10
That's a very ignorant statement, anonymous. A tall person is more than capable of living a long and prosperous life... Anonymous says on 20/Dec/10
i don't get why all these big guys are such an attraction. it is not healthy to be a towering 6'4 or 6'6. The human frame is not meant to be that tall. Many of these people have many serious health problems as they age. They also lose height (more slouching) when older. The few extreme tall people i know/met have back problems and knee problems. If one is over 6'4 it's almost a slow death sentence and trail of problems. Matt says on 8/Dec/10
Incase you guys want proof look here ---> Click Here (6 Foot 2.5 exact in this picture)
[Editor Rob: I don't quite have 1cm of hair at the top of my head ;)
currently my hair is longer on top compared to how it is that day with brimble, but look at it: there's more half a centimetre than a cm :)] James says on 3/Dec/10
Rob sorry about the questions but do you think 6'2.5 is too low for him nowadays? Like many very tall people Nick could be developing a bit of an arched back?
This guys a bit of a mystery though? In the 1996 film Loch Ness (have you seen it rob?) with Ted Danson he looked like 1 inch taller so maybe a peak of 6'3.25 or 6'3.5 could have been closer than 6'4? Weird I always pictured this guy at a legit 6'4 guess looks can be deceiving?
[Editor Rob: not seen that movie since it came to video. But I think he was still taller than 189cm] Rampage(-_-_-)Clover says on 3/Dec/10
6ft 3.5in now rob89 says on 1/Dec/10
I can't see much over 6'2 for him here honestly, even considering his slightly poor posture (also Rob isn't exactly standing perfectly straight either, something most here seem to forget), unless Rob has a significant shoe advantage, which he doesn't mention anywhere on this page. I'll give him 6'2.5 nowadays, possibly approaching 6'4 in his 20s out of bed/in the morning.
Either way he definitely looks closer to 6'2 than 6'4 in this photo. A genuine 6'4 guy should look taller than this next to a 5'8 guy, even with not-so-perfect posture.
[Editor Rob: footwear was pretty similar, him dress shoes, mine 1 inch sneakers.
although by 8am that day I was probably already at my lowest height, I got 90 minutes sleep because I was at a wedding and got to bed by 1.30am and then up at 3am to sort myself to then get to the airport etc!] Rampage(-_-_-)Clover says on 28/Nov/10
no...just 6"4 peak James says on 21/Nov/10
hugh would you agree on a peak of 194cm for this guy? Rampage(-_-_-)Clover says on 20/Nov/10
Looks between 6"3 and 6"4. 192cm probably James says on 10/Nov/10
It could be poor posture. I agree he does look a weak 6'3 in comparison to rob and probably solid 6'3 if he stood better.
Clearly not 6'4 anymore judging by the pic. Matt says on 9/Nov/10
actually i did the height comparison using robs photo next to the measureing stand and the top of his head comes up to only 189.5cm or just ofer 6ft 2.5in he is in reality, a weak 6ft 3 Shaun says on 28/Oct/10
6'42 peak, looks nearer 6'3" in this photo. |
