Djokovic stands better than Federer does generally. I agree at times there can look a 1.25 inch difference between them but 6ft 1.75 and 6ft 1 respectively when both are standing tall seems fair.

Murray could be a bit over 6'2 I agree he is likely 6'2.5 or 6'2.25 Djokovic is no lower than the listing here given all the evidence we have seen all the years, He is an Inch taller than the 6'1 Roger Federer who I cant see being under 185cm

Rob,do you think that there is possibility that he is 188cm during the lunchtime and bigger part of the day?He appears to be a legitimate 6ft2 guy. Also do you think that Andy Murray is 6ft 1/2,he seems to be about this height at times.

After looking through this website, I've come to the conclusion that these professional sports exaggerate heights almost as much as professional wrestling.

I've seen Novak's height listed as 6'3 while watching the tennis.
Josh said on 4/May/17
Murray is 6'2 maximum, he also stated his height as "6'3 in shoes" on another occassion. Doubt he has his height wrong. Djoko could be 6'1.5 if anything. If Murray really is 187.5 cm like he said, then that's a little under 6'1 7/8...closer to 6'1.75 than 6'2 actually.

I think since AM does look 6'2, it's fair enough to give it to him, but not sure Novak isn't 6'1.5, when you look at them together...and keep in mind that AM is 6'2 max if not a bit less, ND looks close to 1/2 shorter than me.
Johnson said on 26/Apr/17
@James I agree. Murray is 188 maximum. By the way...How tall are you?
luke said on 26/Apr/17
@James. their is a high chance. Djokovic is taller than Federer by 1 inch so 6-2 is accurate. Murray looks nearly a inch taller than Djokovic. Nadal looks a bit shorter than Federer not even a full inch when both stand properly. 189cm is not a bad guess. he could be a weak 6-3 like tony bellew.
James said on 26/Apr/17
@Ollie There is NO way Murray is 1.90. You must be a troll.

Novak seems slightly taller than 187cm. I would say he is 6-2 on the dot and certainly no more than 6-2.5. Nadal 6'-0.5 and no more than 6-1 and Federer 6-1.5 no more though.Novak was actually taller than 6-2 Tsonga and 6-2 Henry I was shocked maybe 6-2.5 is a possibility for Novak.

Nadal did not look under 184cm with Ada Turan and Carlos Moya in fact their is a picture with Godin who claims 187cm they are very close Rafa can sometimes look 185cm. i still go for 184cm and Federer 186 to me. Federer rounding down and Nadal up
James said on 15/Mar/17

Click Here Novak seems to be 1.5 inches taller than Nadal. i would put Nadal as 6-0.5 and Djokovic as 6-2 on the Dot. Djokovic is still a bit shorter than Murray who is probably 189-190cm. Strange Murray said 187.5 if that is the case then Nadal is 181.5-182.5 because Murray looks 2 inches taller than Rafa so i think Murray measured at a low after high tensity training or he grew extra after 18 which is possible because men can grow into their 20s.

Reece I agree with you, I think Murray is 6'2.25- 6'2.5 range, Djokovic around 6'2 maybe more a weak 6'2 his listing here is good I think, I think Nadal is 6'0.25- 6'0.5 no lower than a solid 6'0 range for me, One thing tho is sometimes Murray slouches a tad in pics

agree Ultimate, Novak is 187cm like his website had him for years, he always looks at least 6'1.5 it could be he measures in the 6'1.5- 75 range to be specific more of a weak 6'2, Murray himself did claim 187.5cm on his Twitter but does look a genuine 6'2 guy like he could be a tiny fraction over it, maybe Murray was measured 187.5cm after a long day training, I agree Novak does look a 1/2 Inch shorter than Murray.

And I highly doubt Novak is under 6'1.5 given how he looks with Federer/ Nadal

Murray looks a strong 6,2 close to 6,3. id go with 6,2.5. he looks a clean 2 inches taller than 184cm Nadal.look at their Madrid 2015 trophy picture. Murray is also a bit taller than Haye and had 2 inches on 184cm David Cameron. Murray looks taller than the 6,1.75 claim.

I think 6'1.5 is better, now that Nadal is down to 6'0.25. There looks a bit more than an inch between the 2...1.25 at most. Definitely not 1.5. Djoko was listes at 6'1.5 on his official site for years and years.

Novak does a lot of stretching, I know this cuz I'm training to turn pro and I do it 30mins before my tennis with my skipping to warm up, but he does it a lot more. tbh I feel he looks kind of taller than 5-6 years ago. Stretching does increase height a fraction of an inch if you continue everyday a lot. I can't devote myself to that much..YET. Idk please correct me if I'm wrong, wise Rob.

I've always thought of Djokovic as being someone who'd probably look taller in person than you'd think. On the court he looks about 6'1, and with his slim build and slightly boyish face he doesn't look much like a sporty specimen. In person ive a feeling he'd be taller, like a good 6'2, and more athletic looking than you'd expect. Whereas with Murray I've always thought he'd be someone smaller in person than some might think. Djokovic I reckon is 6'2.5 out of bed and 6'1.5 at his lowest after a match.
Celebheights 6'1.5 said on 24/Nov/16
I highly doubt that there's much between Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray, despite what some photos suggest. Andy Murray seemed 6'2" in person, but no more with the same footwear. I also highly doubt that Novak Djokovic is under 6'1 3/4" as he seems to edge out 187 Will Smith. Andy Murray probably has him by 1/4" of an inch at most, if not less.
Chris297 said on 15/Nov/16
To be honest looks indifferent to Murray and with certain angles can look taller. I thought the difference back in say 2012 looked more noticeable maybe andys back surgeries affected his posture though is far to young to lose height. If it wasn't for ibrah photos I would have said 6"2.

anon said on 2/Nov/16
celebheights 6'1.5 I agree with your estimates there pretty much, I think the only one who could be a bit taller than listed is Murray who could be 6'2.25- 6'2.5 range but is likely a flat 6'2 guy, Djokovic at 6'1.5- 6'1.75 range looks bang on, I doubt he is under 6'1.5, Federer own site has 186cm and he never looked under 6'1 in general, I agree on Nadal 6'0.5.

Rob's estimates are probably pretty accurate, He had Murray before at 6'2.5, I have seen several interviews with Andy and he seems a damn honest genuine guy, He said 187.5cm on his Twitter, in his book yrs ago he said he and his brother jamie both grew to 6'3 and He was on a live chat thing with Sue Barker and his height came up and Sue guessed him 6'4 and he reply was im 6'3 in shoes which could again add up to him being 6'2 and 6'2.5 max.
Celebheights 6'1.5 said on 1/Nov/16
Andy Murray-6'2" in person. Definitely wasn't over that, despite often appearing to be up to 6'4" on TV. He wakes up at 6'3".
Novak Djokovic-6'1 1/2"-6'1 3/4". He wakes up at 6'2 1/2"-6'2 3/4"
Roger Federer-6'1 1/4"-He wakes at 6'2"-6'2 1/4". I see his 186 CM listing as being accurate.
Mariah Sharapova-6'1 1/2" and wakes up at 6'2 1/4"..
Rafael Nadal-6'0 1/2" with good posture is spot on. He wakes up at 6'1 1/4"-6'1 1/2".

I just assume that they lose at least an inch of height since they're all over 6 feet tall, and I lose a bit more than an inch throughout the day now.
Celebheights 6'1.5 said on 29/Oct/16
Rob, do you think that he would wake up at 189 or 190 CM out of bed?
Editor Rob: maybe between both of those figures.

Murray-187.5
Djokovic-186.5
Federer-185
Nadal-184
Wawrinka-183

I reckon that's pretty accurate as evening/night measurements.
Josh said on 21/Sep/16
Sorry meant Novak at 6'1.5, not Murray.

Rob, think of it like this. you have Murray at 188cm (6'2) which is a round up of his 187.5cm claim, so fair. But technically 187.5 is closer to 6'1.75 than 6'2. I guess you are saying maybe he's the full 188 and just 187.5 is an absolute, absolute low. But to me, it sounds oddly specific. I can get maybe giving him the benefit of doubt, similarly even if we say Novak is only 1 cm less than AM and not a full 1/2 an inch, that gives us 186.5 But let's also give him the benefit of the doubt, and list him at 187cm which is what you have correctly.

I just don't see the point of giving him the extra .25 of an inch beyond that. 187 cm is right between 6'1.5 and 6'1.75 (slightly closer to 6'1.5 but pretty much halfway), it's typically translated as 6'1.5 though. Most of the guys on this site listed at 187 cm are 6'1.5 with a few 6'1.75. I just don't see that special extra bit that would justify the unusual 6'1.75 listing. Particulary since Novak himself had his height at 6'1.5 on his site into his mid 20s. Then it was replaced by the official atp listing of 6'2.

Sorry if I sound so obsessive, I just enjoy stating my case, don't expect a change but it's fun to argue :) Also, as a huge tennis fan, I'd really feel that all the top 4 were correct with AM at 6'2, ND 6'1.5, Fed 6'1, Rafa 6'0.5.

Cheers
Josh said on 20/Sep/16
Rory, your estimates are quite good.

The reason I would put Murray at 6'1.5 and not 6'1.75 is that if Andy Murray's 187.5 is really accurate then he's actually a weak 6'2. We all seem to agree the difference is at least 1 cm even if not the full 1/2 of an inch. 187.5-1 =186.5 which is 6'1.5
Rory said on 17/Sep/16
The problem is if Djokovic is 6'1.5 then that puts Federer under 6'1 as I think Djokovic is 2cms taller than him. I'm not sure Murray looks quite a half inch taller than Djokovic either, at times they can look identical in height. I think Andys 1cm taller than Novak. I think Murray 6'2, Djokovic 6'1.5.-75 range, Federer 6'0.75-1,Nadal 6'0.25-5,Wawrinka 6'0, Del Potro 6'6.25.
Josh said on 14/Sep/16
Rob, would you consider Djoko at 6'1.5? Saw him at the Open and he's a clear 1/2 of an inch less than Andy Murray. It's noticeable, even accounting for AM hair and has to be at least 1 cm. Novak was listed at 6'1.5 on his site until about 24.
Editor Rob: I wouldn't say it was impossible, the 1.5 mark may well turn out to be the truth if you measured.
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 12/Sep/16
Might hit 186.5-187cm after a match/at his low but that's exactly 6ft1½ so this is still a fair listing. Definitely would be 6ft2 for a while earlier in the day...
anon said on 10/Sep/16
Pretty good estimate, Djokovic must surely be at least 6ft1.5 or 187cm, But I dont see Andy Murray being only a 0.25inch taller, would you even tell a quarter inch difference, Murray does look at least 1/2 Inch taller than Djokovic- Unless Murray is underselling his height and he is closer to 6'2.5 as opposed to a flat 6'2- I think there is more chance Murray is being under listed on here as opposed to Novak's listing which seems fine.

Rob, You really think Murray is only a 1/4 Inch taller than Djokovic, I have seen tons of photos and videos of them over the yrs from matches etc and Murray always looked taller( a difference that is enough to notice) anyway

One of my favorite players of all time, he could easily pass for 6'2 due to his wiry frame. And most of the time, he does look it, however he is always a hair shorter than Murray in their classic matches. He is no less than 6'1.5 and certainly not taller than 6'2... so the listing is perfect. Long live the Joker!

And in that case you cannot say that maybe Ibra is wearing boots and Nole is in sneakers because it's really the opposite (Novak has probably 0.5 inch more shoes...) :P

Editor Rob: yeah somewhere in that range is likely, 170-5

He doesn't look 176 pounds as listed. Around 170 I reckon, and a good amount of that comes from his height and lean muscle tissue, at times he can look just 6% bodyfat. He's crazy lean, naturally slim but with his gluten free diet and calories burned in matches and training I think accounts for that.
Editor Rob: during some tournaments I'm sure a few players drop a number of pounds.

half inch due to poor posture. Novak on the other hands has perfect posture. So they seem
to be the same height, but Becker when standing straight, he definitely is still clearly taller.

I must say that Chardy (187) first gave me a better impression but then when then shook hands I thought they were very similar.
Shoulders must be important in height as Chardy with his long legs and quite high and broad shoulders could have pushed 6'2
In fact when they switched sides Novak gave me the impression that he wasn't more than 6'1 (I'm insisting only the impression)
@Arch Stanton
Yeah,he's quite thin I would have thought around 165-70.Not sure how you see him giving a tall impression, personally Tsonga or Roddick give me better impressions but I trust your judgement.

As you can see, Arch, "impressions" or proportions mean nothing when you must guess heights! :) In that picture he actually can look 6'2.5 but maybe the camera is adding some inches to him? 6'2.5 is crazy when you look at him with guys like Ibra or Marat (who probably would be very similar)... They make him look barely 186... I still stick to 6'1.5, 6'1.75 on a relaxed day... 186 is something that wouldn't surprise me at all, though!

Rob, somethings not right here. Djokovic does look about this with Murray but really he makes Federer seems more 6' range. Now I doubt Federer has lost height at 33 LOL but I've definitely noticed a change in him in the last few years, he seems quite drawn in the face and sickly/tired at times. Odd but yesterday I saw him walking with Federer and the difference to me really looked nearer 2 inches than 0.75. Djokovic looked a lot lankier looking. He's the sort of guy with that typical ectomorph build who when this sort of height can give a near 6'3" impression like Andy Murray.

Warinka really isn't taller than 6'0", but he's also not anything significantly shorter. If he's shorter it's by a quarter-inch. I think he's about as honest a sports listing as you get, and can sometimes look shorter because he has a boxy/blocky torso, round(ish) head and short neck. Not your typical modern-day tennis physique, that's for sure.

Well, Arch, in those photos on the tennis court Ibra looks easily 3 inches taller than him and he's got less footwear, i'd say around half an inch less... Of course, you can find some pictures where the difference looks less but they're not as good as those (where you can see the ground, the footwear and it's also easier to see if they're losing some height with posture or not), let alone that picture on the beach :)
Also, i just saw some pictures of him with Wawrinka guy and he can look around 4 cms taller than him, don't know where you see 3 inches... Djokovic i think he might measure somewhere between 186 and 187, that's it!
Rory said on 25/Jun/15
To me there's never been more than 1.5 inches between djokovic and wawrinka..djokovic 6'1.5/6'1.75...Wawrinka 6'0/6'0.25.
MD said on 25/Jun/15
Arch, I'm not seeing nearly three inches between Stan and Novak to be quite honest. I haven't seen the best angles, but it really only looks like two inches top. If Stan is under 6'0", it's really not by much. His listing is about as close to his actual height as you can get, it seems.
Arch Stanton said on 23/Jun/15
I don't know Andrea, if you compare him with ibra in photos at other times it looks more between 2 and 3 inches diff.
Arch Stanton said on 23/Jun/15
Click Here @ Andrea, he looks virtually 6 ft 5 and a half there ;-)
Arch Stanton said on 23/Jun/15
Yeah he's definitely not over 6'2" so Wawrinka has to be more 5 ft 11 max.
I'm surprised in all honesty that he weighs even 176 pounds. He's a very slim build guy, he seems to have got even thinner in the last few years since he cut out gluten. 176 must be his old weight, honestly he looks in 160s range now.
Andrea said on 8/Jun/15
Arch, have you seen him with Ibra, who was measured at 194.5? He can look 3 good inches shorter than him, despite having more shoes... He can make him look 6'1 flat! But i think 6'1.5 is still a good guess for him, 6'1.75 on a good day!
Arch Stanton said on 7/Jun/15
Rob can you add a photo?

Looks 2.5-3 inches taller than 6' listed Wawrinka, but I suspect Wawrinka is more around 181.
amy said on 21/May/15
On a photo at the 2014 Wimbledon champion dinner he is the same b height of petra kvitova she could be wearing high heels but it is possible rob Novak is a fraction under 6ft 2
Josh said on 4/May/15
Rob one last try haha

Please consider Novak at 6'1.5...seen him in the flesh while I agree he is barely shorter than Murray, the difference is a clear cm...so 186.5 to 187 range...compromise would be to keep him at 187, but move him down to the more typical 6'1.5.

He was listed at 6'1.5 for years on his own site up until age 24. This would have the main 4 guys at 6'2, 6'1.5,6'1, and 6'0.5 which seems very accurate and congruent to me. Give it a consideration :)
Josh said on 10/Mar/15
Rob is the preciseness of this site down to .25 inches? It seems like one could be 1 of 2 possible heights in .25 increments that round to the same cm. For instance there are some people who are 187 cm and 6'1.5 on here.
ld be 6'1.5 not 6'1.75 He was listed at 6'1.5 for the longest time on his personal site, before upgrading it to 6'2. I know it sounds petty caring about .25 of an inch, but if Murray is truly a weak 6'2, then 6'1.5 should be a good shout for Djokovic.

I think you have all of the top 4 down to the right cm, but Novak could be knocked down .25 of an inch. That would be more like it for Novak as there does seem to be a good 1/2 an inch between him and Andy and I'd say Novak looks exactly between Roger and Andy in height. At times Nadal can look more than an inch shorter than Novak and more than 1/2 an inch shorter than Fed, but I have lately noticed he slouches a lot like Sampras. When Nadal stands up, he does look close in height to Federer and only an inch less than Novak. There are videos of Rafa and Andy at the net where you can tell the difference is about 1.5 inches.

I think having the top 4 guys at 6'2, 6'1.5, 6'1, and 6'0.5 would be a perfect listing.
Andrea said on 20/Feb/15
Mr. R, do you realize we're talking about a measured guy? Zlatan is a MEASURED 194.5 guy and there's noway in hell Djokovic is 6'2.5!!! 6'1.5 is the most i'd buy and he could even be 186! Who cares about what people say? Tom Welling gets described as 6'4-6'5 by most of his costars, people who have seen him for years! Is he 6'4-6'5? No! Same thing for Djokovic! 6'2.5 is a big joke for him...
Mr. R said on 19/Feb/15
As I said, the tennis commentators ALWAYS refer to him as 6-2.5 They see these guys all the time. When he walked past me, this is closer to the truth.
Andrea said on 16/Feb/15
Exactly, 6'2 is a big height but when i see some people here who are listed at 6'2, it doesnt seem like that! It seems more an "above average" height if you take a look at some of these listings! Of course, when people are honest 6'2, they're gonna look taller to the majority of the people! The fact is that Rob favour in a sense those who lie (even a lot) about their heights! So, an advice to celebrities: claim a big height if you want to be taller than you are on celebheights! The higher you claim the more chance you have to be overlisted on here!
Andrea said on 15/Feb/15
On the tennis court, Ibra looks near 3 inches taller and he's also got half inch less in shoes, so it's really more 3.5 inches difference! 186 is very possible, IMO! 187 on a good day!
[Editor Rob: yes I think being 6ft 2 is hard to believe, but then I believe Murray's claim in comparison is genuine, almost 6ft 2, it's a big height.]
Andrea said on 14/Feb/15
Novak looks at least 7 cms shorter than measured 194.5 Zlatan Ibrahimovic and he's also got half inch more shoes than him... Click Here
He doesn't look over 186 next to him, so stop saying he's 6'2.5, Mr. R! These pics speak by themselves! Rob, is 186 flat possible for him? Don't tell me he looks near 6'2 with Ibra!
[Editor Rob: in some photos they don't look that far apart but then Ibra looks maybe like he's dropping height, on the tennis court he looks 3 inches smaller, I can still buy in the 187 range.]
Mr. R said on 8/Feb/15
As always, the commentators at the Australian Open referred to the Djoker as 6-2.5 confirming my own personal sighting. He is at least 189cm and Murray is 192cm.

I've stood right next to him folks.
Josh said on 19/Jan/15

callum said on 18/Nov/14
I agree Novak at 6'1.75- Murray at 6'2 on here you can tell a 1/4 inch really?, If that were the case why does Murray always look a tad taller as in more than a 1/4 Inch when they play on the court in same shoes as in trainers, I dont get how you could even notice a 1/4 inch going off that logic you may as well give Novak the 6'2 same as Murray even though Andy is taller.

Murray looks consistently taller than 6'2 guys on here like David Haye for example, Taller than Boris Becker, Would be shocked if Murray was under 6ft2, He looks more 6'2.5 easily.
jay said on 17/Nov/14
Murray could measure anywhere between 6'2 and 6'2.5 I think, 187.5cm is his very low probably after training, He looks at least 1/2 Inch taller than Djokovic who is at least 6'1.5-6'1.75 range, Novak at 187cm seems fine, Murray is fot sure at least 1-2cm taller than Novak, the hair thing is complete bs, they stood side by side today at london playing eachother in an Interview and it is noticeable, Even discounting hair, Andy has 0.5 ins on Novak for sure imo.

I would say - Murray-188-189- Djokovic- 187 range- Federer- 185-186- Nadal- 184
Josh said on 13/Nov/14
Chris,

Yes I am a huge tennis fan and have seen all of the players over the years at the US Open.

Federer, Nadal,Murray, and Djokovic are for sure listed correctly.

Murray is a weak 6'2 as he claimed. The reason why so many think he is taller is he has a 6'3 type of limb structure. He's like a short version of a very tall gu y if that makes sense.Trust me, I have seen him many time...he is 6'2 max. Exactly like he said.

I myself pointed out to Rob that Djoko was shorter than Rob and suggested making him 6'1.5. The difference between the 2 is really only one cm though. It's not as much when they stand close minus Murray's hair as Rob noted.

Rob has done a great job with all 4 of the top guys...188, 187, 185, and 184 are all accurate imo. If anything, maybe Novak could be adjusted to 6'1.5 (still 187) since he looks smack dab in the middle of Fed and Murray to me. But they are all pretty darn accurate now.
liam said on 13/Nov/14
Murray has always looked a weak 6'2 and he is more than a 1/4 Inch on Novak, it is noticeable they all have pics in shoes this week and Murray is for sure a tad taller he could be closer to 6'.5 but I understand his listing here because he said himself 187.5cm but if so 188cm must be his lowest.

Djokovic might be 6'1.5- 6'1.75 based on this but I cant see how He would measure under 6'1.5, He looks 187cm, clearly taller than Roger Federer and I am not sure Roger would even go under 6ft1 at worst
chris said on 9/Nov/14
Boris Becker at 6'3, He looks 6'2 max?, He looks shorter than both Djokovic and Murray, Rob, your thoughts on Boris
[Editor Rob: we discussed Boris a few times, yes I think a full 6ft 3 for Boris might be a bit much and he certainly could be 6ft 2 range, maybe even in his 40's his physique isn't as great and doesn't stand as tall as he used to in his 20's.]
ray said on 6/Nov/14
Will Ferrell is listed 6'3 on here, Murray looked a good Inch taller in an Interview I saw, Murray did have a bit of footwear advantage but still would not be shorter than Ferrell in same shoes going off that, Also looked a tad taller than Boxer David Haye who is listed as 6'2 on here and Murray is taller than Djokovic by a bit, I follow both Players, Murray could be over the 188cm if anything, I am not convinced he is just 187.5cm one bit
chris said on 5/Nov/14
Murray has said 6'3 in his book yrs ago and then said 187.5cm so he he has said two he also recently said he is 6'3 in shoes so he must be a solid 6'2 guy.

Josh, Do you watch tennis, Murray is easily 0.5 inches over Djokovic and Novak is not under 187cm and Murray looks at least inch taller than Federer and I doubt roger is anything under 6'1.

I wouldn't be shocked if Murray is a fraction over 6'2 tbh, He is taller than David Haye who is on here at 188cm= 6'2, something doesn't add up, most people dont even know their exact height not that exact.
Josh said on 5/Nov/14
I find it unbelievable that people do not trust Murray when he says his own height.
jake said on 3/Nov/14
Yh 187cm seems fine, He is listed 187cm on his Facebook too, and he was the same on his website they changed it to the 188cm/80kg as listed by Rob here but that is from the ATP Site, I am sure the 187cm was listed all those years was his official one, and He does look a guy who is in that 6'1.5- 6'2 range for sure- 187cm is fine for Him.

Rob, Do you watch much tennis?. This Guy Djokovic is imo one of the greatest players ever, unreal athlete
jake said on 3/Nov/14
I agree Silent D, murray at 187.5 cm just seems a bit too low, Judging by all evidence on Novak I would be stunned if he measured under 187cm for example, bare minimum he looks is 6'1.5/6'1.75 he always looks tall, was easily inch on Federer who I dont think is under 6'1, Novak must be virtually a 6'2 guy.

Murray is a strange one, because he is clearly a bit taller than Djokovic, sometimes his posture is a bit poor, and he was also taller than a supposed 6'3 Will Ferrell but he had more footwear but even in level footwear going off that, I cannot see how Murray could be any less than Ferrell especially by an Inch?
Silent D said on 1/Nov/14
187cm. I always thought murray was around 190cm even if he claims 187.5cm. He might be 189cm.
ray said on 28/Oct/14
Any Guy who is a legit 6'1.5 at worst with his frame will pass as a 6'2 guy anyhow, On Novak he looks at least 187cm This listing is pretty accurate he looks Inch on Federer who looks a legit 6'1 so Novak must be around 6'2 flat, I think Murray is 6'2.5 he is for sure taller than Djokovic.
Arch Stanton said on 14/Sep/14
Yeah he can look a bit less than 176 pounds at times but I'd say it is a legit reading.
Mr. R said on 13/Sep/14
Murray is taller than that.
Josh said on 9/Sep/14
Mr. R, I've seen him numerous times he is 6'1.5 or thereabouts. You must think you are an inch taller than you really are, lol!
Andrea said on 8/Sep/14
And if he really is 6'2.5 as you say, Ibrahimovic is closer to 6'6!!!
Andrea said on 8/Sep/14
Mr. R, do you realize you lose credibility when you say things like these? Murray claims 187.5 and he's clearly taller than Novak... Better chance he's 6'1.5 than 6'2.5! And you can't base your estimations on what other guys claim. A guy like Tom Welling gets called 6'4 and 6'5 a lot by his "colleagues" and he himself claims to be just under 6'3...
Mr. R said on 7/Sep/14
Nole is 6-2.5 He walked right past me last year. The commentators at the US Open say the same thing and they are around him all the time.

callum said on 13/Aug/14
Yh unless Andy is underselling his height a touch like he measured 6'2.25 but rounded down I have no idea, I mean I followed tennis for so many years now and Murray is a bit taller than The guys most would be listed as 187- 188cm like Andy Roddick, Tommy Haas Tsonga and Djokovic.

Novak at worst must be 187cm area he is for sure 1-2cm on Federer who I always thought was a legit 6'1.

Rob, Do yo think the 187.5cm Murray said is after the end of the day training?
ray said on 12/Aug/14
It all makes sense Elias, I would agree Novak Djokovic does look about 6'2 in general, Rob may have him right at 6'1.75 say I cant see him being under that but If Djokovic is 188-189cm) The 188 listing for Andy Murray is not correct, If Novak is 188cm which he might well be, I would give Murray 189cm.

Personally I think Murray is more 189cm and Novak is 187/188, Murray said in an Interview though that he is 6'3 in shoes recently and said 187.5cm on his Twitter so he must be a solid 6'2 guy but he looks taller.
Elias said on 11/Aug/14
I can't see Novak Djokovic shorter than Maria sharapova. If she is 6'2 (which seems ok for her) then Djokovoc is a strong 6'2 (188-189 cm )
Jon said on 8/Aug/14
Most the top guys look fairly accurate- Tomas Berdych is around 6'5 at worst weak 6'5- Del Potro and Cilic look like legit 6'6 guys to me, Milos Raonic is about 6'5 also same as Berdych, Murray looks strong 6'2 range to me.

Djokovic is at least 6'1.5, Federer always looks a legit 6'1 to me, There is not a chance he would measure under 185cm for me
max said on 7/Aug/14
Donald Young height listed as 6'0 is a joke he is about 5'10 I think, Marcos Baghdatis was always listed as 6'0 or 182cm and now he is listed as 5'10 on the ATP site so I have no idea, Stan Wawrinka looks a legit 6'0 guy he is at least 183cm based on what I have seen of him.

Djokovic looks 6'1.5- 6'2 range
jon said on 7/Aug/14
Andy Murray did a q and a in glasgow the other month and he said he is 6'3 in shoes on that so he must be a legit 6'2 like he claimed recently- Sue Barker even guessed him 6'4 and that was his reply, He claimed 187.5cm on Twitter recently too even though he said 6'3 in his bio years back but then must have been the shoe measurement.

I always thought Murray was 6'2.5 he might still be or around 6'2.25, I think If we go with Murray at 6'2, Novak is 6'1.5 , Andy is taller for sure by a good half Inch.

How Tall is the young player Nick Krygios, Looked at him to Murray today looks a legit 6'4 pretty much, I believe he is listed as 6'4 also
kevin said on 2/Aug/14
They dont measure the players on ATP, Most are accurate within a 0.5 inch I think a lot are not accurate though, Hewitt is not 180cm or 5'11 more 5'9.5, Robby Ginepri is a good example he has always been listed as 6'0 but his own website has his height down at 5'11, Vince Spadea gave his height as 5'10.5 was listed as 6'0 also, Donald young is the same looks 5'10 range listed as 6'0.

Novak does look a genuine 6'2ish guy, He is at least 6'1.5- 6'2, I would have gave Murray the 189cm, I agree on the 195cm for Berdych he is 6'4.5 at least
176,2Tunman said on 10/Jul/14
Agree with Arch, the 187,5 of Murray did upset the balance.
Federer was always listed at 185 so let's assume he's no more than 6'0.75-6'1 flat.Nole is listed 187 in early listings, which seems fair.Nadal, although listed 185 seems most of the time a good 0.5" shorter than Fed so 6'0.25-0.5 for him.
I don't know why but I still feel Murray is more than 187,5.Maybe he measured at his absolute worst and is generally more 188,1cm taller than Djokovic.
SAK said on 9/Jul/14

SAK said on 7/Jul/14
Djokovic is an inch taller then Federer. Djokovic should be listed as 188cm. Murray should be listed 189cm. If Djokovic remains at 187 and Murray 188 then Federer needs to go down to 185cm and Nadal 183cm. Dimitrov looks 6'2.
Josh said on 7/Jul/14
Arch,

Djokovic looks 2 cm taller, I agree...Fed is simply a flat 6'1..that's all...needs to be taken down a cm. and Nadal can stay at 184 but go down to 6'0.25
Josh said on 7/Jul/14
Arch,

I wondered about Dimitrov too... I think he's around 6'2...looks pretty similar to Murray and Djokovic. 6'3 is too much for him, in that picture he is only slightly taller than the 6'2 at best Sharapova (many have questioned that height although I think she is close) However, he is wearing nike sneakers and she is wearing flats.

Yeah, I agree the guys above 6'0 but not above 6'2 seem to look and move the best on court. Below that seems "weak" and above that seems "lumbering".
Arch Stanton said on 6/Jul/14
Rob I'm really not convinced Djokovic is only a cm taller than Federer. I had a good look at them today and he looks a full inch taller. The difference is noticeable. Murray's 187.5 claim has really upset the balance!

He does look 6'3" there actually. He's listed at 190cm. He did look a few cm taller than Djokovic, maybe he is?
Arch Stanton said on 5/Jul/14
Rob how tall do you think Grigor Dimitrov looks? I've seen 6'3 listed for him but he really doesn't look it. How does he look with Sharapova? I thought he edged out Novak yesterday but they looked very close in height. He might be 6'2".

There's a lot of 6'4"+ tennis players around now but I really think the shorter 6'1-6'2" players look a lot better aesthetically on the court and move much better than the bigger guys. Dimitrov, Djokovic, Federer and Nadal look really good on court and move very well, but some of the bigger guys like Raonic who is listed at 6'5" (and genuinely looks it) really look sluggish during rallies and don't seem as athletic. That Nick Kyrgios kid though I was most impressed with. He looks near 6'5" to me on court but moves quite well. He's listed at 6'4" but I think that was taken when he was 17 or 18 and has grown. He looked more 6'5" in the Nadal game.
[Editor Rob: he's been called 187-190cm, he can look near 6ft 2.]
Arch Stanton said on 1/Jul/14
@Seahawk Fan. You place too much emphasis on one photo. Click Here If he is 6 ft 4 Becker still looks near 190, 6'2.5" might be a good shout now. He can frequently look shorter in some photos, he looks shorter in the Hemsworth photos.

Djokovic really looks near 6'2 on court, very slim build too.

If you look at enough pictures of them there's more than a .25 inch difference between them. When they're standing even Murray ALWAYS looks taller than Novak. If it was only .25 difference we'd expect that they'd look the same height some of the time.

Murray actually claims to be 187.5. Which is closer to 6'1.75 then 6'2. I would put the muzz at 6'1.75 and Djokovic at 6'1.25.

This would bring Djokovic rather to 186.5-87, don't you think guys? This would also confirm the 185 mark at which Federer was listed everywhere. I remember very well that in the 2005 RG Nadal was listed at 183 (74Kg)aged 19, maybe this was always his actual height but a year later got measured say mid morning near 185, like 184.5 (I think he's maybe 183,5 or 6'0.25)
Balrog said on 2/Feb/14
Exactly MD, I've been saying this forever. Nole 187cm. Nadal 183cm and Federer 185cm.

I was very sure of this because I have met Juan Martin Del Potro, listed at 6'6'' and he is a legit 6'6'' man if not taller, the guy was a solid 5in taller than me in flat ground when I met him. So since then, I compare Juan Martin next to Novak, Rafa and Roger. Murray actually I thought of a strong 6'2'' guy. Like 6'2.25''.

A friend of mine also met Bernard Tomic, he said to me he is 6'5'' easily but I've seen him next to Del Potro and looks more like a weak 6'5''. He was listed age 18 at 6'4'' so maybe he grew another half inch...

Nadal was listed at 6'0'' until he won his first GS.
Arch Stanton said on 2/Feb/14
I can't see him the same height as Murray. They're close but they can't both be 188..
MD said on 2/Feb/14
Rob,

With Andy Murray CLEARLY taller than Noel, how much longer are you going to keep him at 188cm? At least shave off the extra centimeter and give him the height he was listed at for years. I don't get what's taking so long. You knew coming into this and changing Murray's height that it would set into motion a 1cm downgrade for Novak, Rafa and Roger, each.
Arch Stanton said on 1/Feb/14
I give up lol seeing him next to Hemsworth!! He doesn't even look 6'2" in comparison!! Every 6'3 listed tennis pro player is a lie LOL!!

Djokovic is certainly close to 6'2, He could be 6'1.5 but no lower, as he always look around that 6'1.5- 6'2 range looked maybe 2 Inches over wawrinka who is a legit 6'0 Imo.

Rob, How Tall would you guess Tennis Legend Boris Becker, listed 6'3 could be under the mark though, he now coaches Djokovic, maybe around 6'2.5?

Becker was a proper 190cm peak. He should still be peak in his mid 40s but 6'2.5-6'2.5" looks about right.
Arch Stanton said on 1/Feb/14
Rob, maybe you should downgrade him to 187 to fit better with Murray!
Josh said on 31/Jan/14
Guys, stop saying Murray is anything more than 188 cm. It just seems like you are being foolish, disregarding facts.
Josh said on 27/Jan/14
Mr. R there's no way Nole is 6'2.5. If he was, Federer would be 6'2, Nadal would be over 6'1 etc.

Really, he's 6'1.5. The 6'2 here is wrong but was understandable until Murray revealed his height. 6'2.5 is utter nonsense.
Mr. R said on 26/Jan/14
kevin says on 24/Jan/14
If Djokovic is 188 and close to 189 Mr R, How can Murray be 188?, Murray way very well be the 190cm he is listed at on the Atp site, I think Murray is maybe 189, and Djokovic 188 for the record, but this site has murray now at 188cm so Djokovic should be at 187cm really

I do think that Murray is a full out 6-3 and Nole 6-2.5 He was listed at The Aussie Open as 6-3 because they rounded up. I saw him last year and he was head and shoulders above everybody else.
MD said on 25/Jan/14
But, he isn't closer to 6'2.5". I know you met him, but just go through some pictures. He's not even a full 6'2". You're usually better at estimating than this.
Josh said on 24/Jan/14
Djokovic is 6'1.5. Sort of undebatable considering Murray is listed at 188 per his own word (actually the listing is rounded up), add the fact that Djoker was listed at 187 cm for years until he was 24 on his official website. The probably wanted him to be a round 6'2.

Like I said :

Murray: 6'2

Djokovic: 6'1.5

Federer: 6'1

Nadal 6'0.25
Mr. R said on 23/Jan/14
I met Nole. He is closer to 6-2.5. 189 cm is closer.
Josh said on 21/Jan/14
Rob, today when Wawrinka beat Djokovic and hugged him, you could see there was not much more than in inch between them. Djokovic was listed at 6'1.5 for the longest time as well. You have Murray at 6'2 as well and he's clearly and obviously taller. What's going on? At least give it a look.
Josh said on 10/Jan/14
187 is right. Probably close to bang on 6'1.5, so a little over 186.5 imo. 187 is the fairest listing.
MD said on 10/Jan/14
He is 186cm at the very worst, and I'd actually given him his former 187cm listing. But, the 188cm has to be dropped.
Pleb said on 8/Jan/14

Well, Andy recently announced his height at 187.5cm (Rob gives him an extra half-centimeter). I still think 187cm would be a better listing for Djokovic.
Daniele said on 1/Jan/14
Murray is clearly taller than Djokovic. He slouches a lot and looks as tall as Djoker but is clearly taller (at least according to this photo where Murray is standing straight). Personally I've always thought he was 6'3, but he has clearly stated to be 187.5cm, so a legit 6'2 tall man!. I'm really confused... Does Djoko need a downgrade? I can't come up with a convincing hypotesis...
Pleb said on 1/Jan/14
Becker was never 6'3. Becker is not even 6'2 these days, probably at best 6'2 prime, 6'3 in footwear. Just another ATP inflated joke.

Becker in relaxed posture, doesn't look a 6'3 frame here with a 6'1 Djokovic standing tall here. Even if you're deluded enough to buy Djokovic at 6'2, Becker looks a weak 6'2 at best.

Becker has always been in the 6'1-6'2 range.
MD said on 8/Dec/13
He was listed at 187cm, forever, and that's what he had on his own website for a very long time. It's not until he rose into the top three or so we see the extra centimeter tacked on. I guess it just rounded easier in imperial and that's why we see the change. But, now, he is either 187cm or 188cm(tops) with a long neck that can give him the impression of being taller.
Lo sgozzatore said on 6/Dec/13
6'2.5? Better chance he's 6'1.5, just look at him with Marat Safin, who's listed at 193, he looks more than just 2 inches shorter!

Judging from the pic Late 187cm posted.

Del Potro 1.99m
Djokovic 1.86m
Federer 1.84m
Murray 1.89m
Nadal 1.82m

Advantage Nadal for being nearest to the camera, anyway notice he's eye level is virtually at Murrays teeths, so around 3 inches between them. Del Potros eye level is bang on Djokovics head, Del Potro has around 5 inches or more on Djokovic.
Mr. R said on 2/Dec/13

Shoes should be similar. Good for comparing Djokovic, Federer and Nadal.

Del Potro actually makes a 6'2 guy look small!

In comparison to others, is Murray looking closer to 6'4 here?

Rob,

The post by "Anonymous" dated 7/Mar/13 is spam. Seems you accidentially slipped it through.
[Editor Rob: very little spam manages to get through, there's an absolute bucketload that bots try to submit but it never ends up in the database, but the odd one can get mistakingly sli through the 'approved' side!

a problem with bots is that they forge IP's from legitimate sources, like big ISP's, so if I hard block them this can inadvertantly block legitimate viewers aswell.

If anybody posts and they don't see their posts appear, 99% of the time it is very likely because of the ever increasing amount of spam blocking I have to add to the site.]

Jake, thats interesting. I've heard a lot of shorter estimates for Verdasco...however I never saw it myself. It's a mystery because he has looked clearly taller than Nadal. Check out AO 09 highlights at the end when they embrace. Verdasco looks about an inch taller than Nadal.

Fabry, interesting pic...Mcenroe claimed to 'grow' to 6' with stretching. Although....I doubt it. He's listed 5'11 here which looks right.

There looks to be about 2-2.5 inches between them. Who knows with the different variables like footwear, lifts (I doubt it but since Mac seemingly lied about growing, he may be obsessed with his height), and positioning.

I do think however, that Djokovic may only be 6'1.5, but not below that. There is too much evidence of him looking 188 around many players/people, so under 187 I could not accept without further evidence.
Anon said on 12/Sep/12
Djokovic is likely a full 6'2 or very close to it. Federer is closest to 185.5cm (evening) so maybe 186cm in the early afternoon. Nadal is relatively straight forward to estimate based on his torso length/head size in addition to comparing him to Iker Casillas (at 182) and Federer of which there are a lot of photos. Nadal is not 185cm ..except in the early morning, he is very possibly 184cm but likely something between 183 and 184. 183-183.5cm in the evening/late night is about as accurate as you will get. It's hard to say whether true height is morning/afternoon/evening/late night or what? I personally view stature in the evening/late night as true height as it's a height that you are never less than. The guinness book of records measures height 3 times over the course of 10 hours starting in the morning and gives an average of the 3 as an official listing.
mister said on 16/Jun/12
Djokovic is 6'2. Nadal is a hair over 6'. He was listed as 6' when he was 19 and won one of the clay masters titles.

Yeah definately please add Nadal I think he 184cm.

Djokvic i think is 187cm. 188cm is not out of question though.
John said on 11/Jun/12
When he and Rafa did the customary side embrace on opposite sides of the net before the resumption of the match today, the difference between the 2 of them looked more than normal. Djokovic was standing as straight as Nadal, whereas he usually leans in a bit. I think it has been proven Djokovic is 187-188. Taking this into account, Rafa can't be more than 184. Difference was a clear 1.5 inches. Please create a listing for Rafa, Rob.

I watched the Djoker-Nadal match in Miami this yaer. At the end they presented the trophies and Rafa and Nole stood next to each other. Rafa is at MOST 183cm.(barefoot) If Nadal is supposed to be 185, and Djoker is conservativly 187 then either Djoker is taller than listed(doubt it)or Rafa is shorter than listed.(more likely)
