I watched the Djoker-Nadal match in Miami this yaer. At the end they presented the trophies and Rafa and Nole stood next to each other. Rafa is at MOST 183cm.(barefoot) If Nadal is supposed to be 185, and Djoker is conservativly 187 then either Djoker is taller than listed(doubt it)or Rafa is shorter than listed.(more likely)

Djokovic looks taller than Verdasco who is also listed as 6'2. I would wager Dasco is a bit under that, but 6'2 for Djoker is good.

Rob, now that you have listings for Federer, Djokovic and Murray, surely you'll add Rafael Nadal? He's considered on of the best players ever. What would you estimate Rafa at?

Novak is a legit 6'2 I believe. here are numerous pictures of him and federer together and he is a bit taller than federer who is a strong 6'1.

@SAK John is right. Just before the match begins,they list the player's statistics on the screen. The whole tournament he was listed at 6-3. I also think that he grew a little after he started playing. He is 6-2.5

What do you estimate for Swiss No. 2 player Stanislas Wawrinka? To me he does look the height he's billed at -- 6ft. 1.83 m is on his official site. He appeared a bit taller than Marcos Baghdatis.

Yes, Dolgopolov is 5'11, he was listed at that height last year. Hewitt is not 6', he's 5'11 he looks shorter beacuse in the court he slouches A LOT. Pay attention to that detail.

Dolgo is about 5'10.5...I saw him in person. Lleyton is maybe 5'9.5...looks a hair under 5'10.

Djokovic did in fact get listed at 6'3 on TV, I've seen this before; I don't think it's the Australian Open, but rather ESPN's TV coverage that has him at that height. Their website has him at his correct height. It's been going for awhile now.. I noticed that last year too. It's either a mistake that no one cared to correct or he was measured in shoes for something.

While watching a Lleyton Hewitt match @ Australian Open 2012, a commentator said that Lleyton is 6ft but looks short because he has a long body and short legs and wears very baggy shorts. In actual fact Lleyton is 5ft10(1778cm) or 5ft9.5(177cm) @ best.

@ Chris, although he is listed as 6ft on ATP site, I believe Dolgopolov (who is 13. in the world) is 5" 11 (1.80 m).

Witchdoctor's right. I looked on his site less than a year ago and he was actually listed at 187 cm. I don't necessarily get why they would change it, but to me it's possible they want to make the listings equal to a full number of inches i.e. without fractions. So the former 187 cm might be the real thing. And if so, then official sites aren't always reliable.

The ideal height for a male tennis player is between 6' and 6'4. Only six players in the top 20 aren't in that range (6'9 Isner, 6'6 Cilic and Del Potro, 6'5 Berdych, 5'11 Tipsarevic, 5'9 Ferrer)

Sure, he might dip below 6" 2 and be nearer 187 cm by night-time, but not by much I wouldn't think. 6" 2 is his overall height.

He's always listed himself on his own website at 187 cm earlier in his pro career. I think he is very close, but not quite 6'2". His thin build and longish limbs give him the appearance that allows him to eke out another centimeter.

Well for normal people(not obsessed with height) height, 6-1.5 is practically weak 6-2.

Yes SAK. Don't like this guy at all. Cocky. But I think he looks legitimately about this but he is skinny athletic build so that gives the illusion of being taller. Is he definitely shorter than Roddick?

My favorite tennis player. He's just below the 6'2 mark. 6'1.5 - 6'1.75 range. Solid 187 cms for sure. Always looks taller than Federer but shorter than solid 6'2 guys like Tsonga or Roddick. And last year he dropped to 168 - 170 lbs due to his gluten free diet.
