Super strange how Carlos looks 6'1 next to Novak in the Cincy Masters trophy presentation, but in other pics, Novak has at least 2.5 inches on him

Novak is probably a guy who'll hit dead on 187 cm in the afternoon and at his lowest after a match will probably hit the 186-186.5 mark
Nathan Hatton said on 12/Sep/23
He was always listed as 187cm on his official website before it got updated to the ATP stats where they list to the full inch so they list it at 6'2" or 1.88m.
His older website only gave his height in cms and always had 187cm which looks correct. I think he looks a legit 6'1".5 he might measure around 6'1".5- 6'1".75 if being specific.

@181.6-182, interesting you'd say that. I'm a similar height to you and share most of your views, although I disagree on 6'3+ being too tall. Maybe I'm less secure about my height than you are :P

My dad is in that range, 187 was a height he measured in the afternoon. I also have four sisters and they're all quite proud of my dad's height, though they think he's 6'3(even though he himself claims 6'2 lol). So I do feel I've a good guess for what an aesthetically pleasing height is to a woman ;)

I do think 181-185 is within average range still, although I don't think the same about 166-170, which perhaps makes my opinion flawed, since technically it should be within the average range as the average male height is roughly 5'9 and a half, at least where I live.

On Djokovic I feel he's possibly underlisted, might be a height twin of my dad's actually! I would say there's a good chance of him measuring closer to 6'1.75 than 6'1.5, so that's the height I'm giving him.
181.6-182 said on 10/Jun/23
The most aesthetic height for a man period. Strong 6ft 1 range to 6ft 2. You pretty much don't make girls feel like dwarfs, but even taller girls will admire the extra height. Not only that but you should not have a hard time feeling out your frame and putting on some muscle at this height, while being above average/tall in height.
181-185 is the average height today if we are talking young white males/Europe. Esp where I am from Serbia that is considered as average as can be and anything less probably short, even where I live (Australia) lots of younger boys easily clearing 6ft 1/6ft 2
I think 181-185 is average
186-190 is ideal/tall
181-190 is still a overall good range to be and shouldn't have issues with dating unless you bump into a 6ft girl, like I did recently she was 184cm and I felt short, its different when a girl is slightly taller than you or a guy. A 6ft 1/6ft 2 guy should almost never encounter this in his life unless the girl is tall and in heels which is not so common. This is why 5 11 cannot be ideal but simply good enough but sometimes can feel like you wish you were taller no doubt. I speak from experience.
I personally think above 191, becomes too tall, apart from being a tank/bad ass, it doesn't serve too much of a benefit with dating. sure some girls like to say I want a guy 6ft 4/6ft 5 but I don't rally think girls know quite how tall that is, maybe a 511/6ft girl can say this but no other. I have 2 legit 191cm,193cm Serbian brothers and I gym with them regularly, they are tanks and almost always the tallest in room, unless we are with other Serbs. Then there are plenty of 190cm guys. I am actually the 2nd shortest in my Serbian friend group. Even 2 of our girls are 175/178cm. This is why anything under 185 even is considered a bit short in Serbia.

How likely you think 6'1 3/4 (187-187.5 cm) is for Novak in the afternoon

He can look like it alot with Federer tho I wager that Federer is not a solid 6'1 but more flat 6'1 (185-185.5 cm) and Novak is perfectly listed at a weak 187 listing especially if Murray's just under 6'2 by a hair

@Arch Stanton wonder if he will end up playing. This might be the biggest tennis drama I’ve ever seen. If he plays, he would have a chance to pass Rafa (has a terrible draw) and Federer (isn’t playing because injured) in majors. A lot on the line here.
Arch Stanton said on 14/Jan/22
I still think of him as 6 ft 2 for some reason, might be because he is so thin of frame. It's political theatre what we're currently seeing, don't think it's just about him and health they're making a big song and dance about it. They've allowed over 20 unvaccinated players into the country I think. Novak has been involved with some major protests which I think involved some members of the government. Of course making a big thing about somebody as famous as him being barred sends out a strong message when it comes to vaccinations too.

John, I think Rafter could be similar to Djokovic.
John Londero said on 29/Jun/21
6'1 and a half is correct, looks 6'2 with slim build. Slightly odd proportions, shoulder height is pretty much the same as Federer and Nadal (who are in my estimation half an inch and 3 cm shorter than him respectively.) Long torso, long arms, long neck, and long head add to illusion of height when he is a tall guy but not very tall. Legs are a bit relatively short (probably a 32 inseam) which often makes people look shorter but in his case his overall long, angular look outweighs this from a visual perspective.

Rampage, I also like Djokovic the most. Been a fan since 2008 and it is kind of crazy to me he seems to be on the threshold of becoming the GOAT. Most people where I am from dislike him. I think it is incredible how mentally strong he is to deal with crowds that are almost always against him. I'm not the type that is just a contrarian for the sake of it, but the fact most can't stand him is an extra perk as a long time fan as he shatters records. Still think Nadal has a slight chance to win the slam race, but this past RG has definitely swung the odds in Novak's favor.

Height wise I will say Rafter looked a strong 6'1 to me, similar to Ronaldo. I would think that he would be taller than Federer (and was definitely taller than Sampras who was maybe 184.5ish in his playing days imo). I was always neutral backc in the 90s watching as a kid, but I remember that classic match against Novak's current coach!
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 27/Jun/21
Arch, I agree...I think Djokovic is a stellar figure in tennis which let's be honest is full of oddities and contrasting personalities...I prefer him to Federer (bit of an ego in the earlier years but has mellowed, the Tiger Woods of tennis, the comeback kid...), Murray (extremely flat personality, comes off as insincere in interviews, so boring to listen to). Henman (bit of a Prince William complex, one-dimensional and too much of a goodie two shoes, probably no fun to be around...predictable play), something about British players, because Wimbledon is in their backyard it gives them a sense of entitlement and importance...Nadal (a character, cheeky chappy in an endearing way and a machine), McEnroe (one of the best obviously but obnoxious on commentary, on court tantrums were never funny)

My guy was Rafter though, greatest player to never win the big one and should have at least once...was battering Sampras around the place in 2000 in the first set before it all went belly up...very strong head on his shoulders and has that intangible Aussie determination...Hewitt would be up there as well
Arch Stanton said on 25/Jun/21
Very low bodyfat, he can easily look 6'2 at times. One of the things I admire most about some of the top sportspeople, particularly in tennis is their mindset, they always seem to be there competing and always seem to have an insatiable appetite to win, rarely faltering. The ability to block everything else out and focus on the goal at hand. When you get very good at something it can get a bit boring just doing that, the greats are always looking to improve and build on their achievements. There's been some very talented people in sports but who never got anyway because of a weak mindset and poor discipline.

Domi said on 3/Apr/21
Rampage yeah Murray might be scraping 6'2, I don't completely agree that there isn't a noticeable difference between Djokovic and Murray though. It looks to me to be close to half an inch. Think Novak is listed correct here. He listed himself at 6'1.5 187 on his site for many years till 2011.

I'd like to see Thiem on here. Think he's a solid 6'0 (wrongly listed at 6'1), he always looks slightly shorter than Nadal and similar to Wawrinka, or slightly edges him. Wawrinka maybe the weaker 6 foot guy of the two.
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 2/Apr/21
Murray in essence is a 6ft2 guy that got likely got caught post-match at that 187.5cm mark....we did overestimate him in the past though as being this big lanky 6ft3 dude...Djokovic generally looks about the same as Andy, at maybe worst a fraction shorter. 6ft1½ to 6ft1¾ for him is arguable.
Domi said on 9/Mar/21
Tajaun I agree I think this listing is right on. Rob has the Big 3 of tennis all correct imo.

I wouldn't put Novak more than this though based on Andy Murray's own claimed height. There is a possibility that is a late evening or after training (or both but I doubt it) height for AM. Murray at a weak 6'2 means Novak can't be more than 6'1.5. I agree he isn't less than this either though and may only dip slightly below it in the evening so could walk around slightly more than this early afternoon etc. I think Curry would edge him out but only slightly. Curry should be at 6'1.75 ish here.

I agree looking at various pics that he is taller than Ronaldo, the jumping vid is misleading yours right. But the difference is only by about 1 cm. Ronaldo is a very strong 6'1 and pushing 186 cm.

Celebheights 6'1.5

I agree pretty much with your whole post, the Big 3 guys are nailed down pretty well now imo.

The Federer vid is from I think 2014 or at least that's when I saw it on Eurosport but he did look in his 30s at the time. If 184.6 was an evening height for him as it seemed, you could argue the 6'1 listing is ok although as you said 7/8 is probably more accurate.

To be completely honest it seems to me that Djokovic and Nadal are 6'1.5 and 6'0.25 as listed and that Federer is exactly between the 2 which would put him at the 7/8 listing. I think till we know more though the 6'1 is fine lol.

Celebheights 6'1.5, I think you're right about Andy and Novak.

Fed and Nadals before bed heights are too high, Fed was measured at 184.6 on Eurosport, so far no one can find the show in full to prove it with a screenshot, but many saw it. It is possible that is an extreme low if he had done some training etc... But the most you could say for him is around 185.0 cm in the evening.

He might warrant his 6'1 listing but arguments for 6'0.75 seem more correct to me for Federer. Most people are listed on this site at near their evening height (but not extreme low). Maybe just a few mm above their evening height.

Your height range for him implies Cristiano Ronaldo height for Federer (strong 6'1 or near 6'1.25 which is wrong)

Nadal is at most 183.5 cm as listed here based on the other 3 near him and of him near Cristiano Ronaldo. I would guess his evening height is around 183 cm. The 6'0.25 listing is fine for him.

Interesting. If Roger Federer was measured at 184.6 centimeters, then it’s safe to guess that it was his extreme low. Still, that would demand for him to receive downgrade to somewhere in the 6’0 3/4”-6’0 7/8” range for him, which would further fuel the likelihood of Andy Murray being no more than 6’2”. After seeing him appear to be no more than that mark in person, this doesn’t surprise me. I was thinking that he would be 6’3” from a distance, up until I shook his hand.

This would also mean that Novak is safe with the 186.7 centimeter listing, since he’s comfortably over 6’1”, but still 1-1.5 centimeters shorter than Andy Murray. He’s as thin as a lath with a long face and neck, which could certainly add to his perceived height. He wasn’t dishonest with his 6’2” claim, since he undoubtedly clears that mark out of bed.

Rafael Nadal is a tricky one to figure out. Going by Roger Federer’s measurement, I actually believe that 183.5 is a better shout for him. He’s the shorter one out of the duo, but the height difference can be intangible at times when he isn’t hunched over like a snail. He’s slightly shorter than Cristiano Ronaldo, who is either a solid 6’1” or a strong 6’1”, making his 187.5 centimeters claim preposterous and outlandish.

How old was Federer when this measurement happened? I’m curious to see it now.

Rampage, you are like the reverse viper.

Anyway this listing is right I agree that Djokovic isn't less than this, but I don't think he is more either.

Murray might be 6'1 3/4. It is very difficult to know if 187.5 is post training (so then a full 6'2 188 would be best for Murray) or if it's an early afternoon off day measurement where 187.5 or even a tad less might be accurate. I lean towards the latter and think the 3/4 listing would be what he would measure early evening on a regular day. Murray sure does look 6'2+ though but looks can be deveiving.

HeightRealist said on 1/Jun/20
Djokovic is 186cm tall, but he is thin and has fantastic posture which makes him look 6'2.

Federer is 184cm, with wide shoulders. Nadal 183cm. Wawrinka 180cm and looks like a tank.

Remember guys tennis players look taller because tennis shoes give extra height.
Rory said on 16/May/20
@Jamestherealone
I can't be certain Ronaldo has thicker sneakers in the clip without measuring them but they do look bigger to me. I also think if you look at the angle of their feet, Ronaldos feet look higher than Novaks which again leads me to believe he has thicker sneakers on. There's no way either that's a 3cm difference between them. A 3cm difference is quite a clear height difference, Ronaldo merely edges him in the picture I'd say by somewhere in 1-2cm range. Ultimately though if you shave off differences in footwear and possibly posture you're right I think Djokovic and Ronaldo will measure within quarter inch. Whether that means Ronaldo is taller than listed or Djokovic is shorter it's hard to say.

Jamestherealone said on 15/May/20

@Rory So Cristiano looks 3 cm taller than Djokovic in the picure they are together and you insist in saying that Djokovic is taller than Cristiano? First of all, and contrary to what you said, their posture is exactly the same. It is simply false that "Cristiano has a better posture", that is just an ad hoc excuse to justify that Cristiano looks taller. Both are standing tall with a good posture, Cristiano does not have his head or body in different position than Djokovic. In fact, Djokovic is even closer to the camera, which gives him an advantage.

Second, I see no definitive evidence of Ronaldo's sneakers platforms being taller. Djokovic also has air platforms which give him extra cm, as you can appraciate in this pic:

We can only speculate. It is only possible to truly know how tall a platform is measuring it from inside, not by its external appearance. But for the sake of the argument, let's assume that Cristiano has 1-2 extra cm than Djokovic due to slightly higher platforms. It would still put Cristiano 1 cm taller than Djokovic, because Cristiano looks 3 cm taller than Djokovic in the picture, not only 1-2.

The fact is that Cristiano looks clearly 3 cm taller than Djokovic in this picture they are together, look at the big difference between their eyebrows:

Of course, it is only a picture, and many things are out of our control such as shoes difference, angles, etc. But, this picture conclusively proves Cristiano is no shorther than Djokovic. At most you can argue that Djokovic is equally tall as Cristiano because of the shoes. Djokovic is listed here as 187 cm, so if Djokovic is indeed 187 cm, then Cristiano is 187 cm as well. If Djokovic is 186 cm, then Cristiano is 186 cm.

But to say that Cristiano is shorter than Djokovic is simply counterfactual. No way is Djokovic 187 cm and Cristiano 186 cm, or Djokovic 186 cm and Cristiano 185 cm when Cristiano is taller than him in the picture they are together.

Thanks Rob, but do you think that 178 or even under is impossible for him, because there's this guy Click Here who stands here with Buffon, and who you guessed 5 inches shorter than Buffon ( so around 5ft 10), but in this pic he seems much taller than him Click Here. Also here's a pic with Pjanic who's at most 5ft 10, if you compare him to Ronaldo (he might be a worthy add as well), and he also seems shorter than Pjanic by at least an inch Click Here. So thats kinda confusing.
Hope to get a reply

In some of the other photos he can seem nearer 5ft 10 than 11, it may be possible Novak was losing more than 1-2cm of posture.

@Highly suspect, I'm not so sure about that. Im pretty sure Ronaldo has thicker sneakers on in that video, Novak looked like he had I'd guess 1-1.25 inches on whilst Ronaldos looked like 1.5 inch range. I'd say it's pretty debateable in the video if he looks any taller anyway they looked very similar I felt. In the pictures he does look taller but I suspect that's because of better posture and thicker sneakers in that pose. I'd be very surprised if Ronaldo was taller than Novak. Novak looks a stick on 6ft1.5 guy to me, whereas 6ft1.25 is about the most I'd guess for Ronaldo.

I actually don't believe that there's a full inch between the tops of Novak Djokovic's and Roger Federer's head in these photos:

Since you can actually see the footwear and posture in these photos, with them not being taking right after a tennis match. these are solid evidence that the difference is more like 1/2" of an inch between them. I guess that Andy Roddick (listed as 6'2") is taller than Novak Djokovic as well. This listing for Novak is really good.

If Novak is a full 6’2”, then Stephen Curry is at least 6’2 1/2” (despite getting measured up at 6’2”, with him possibly dipping below then 6’2” at some point in the day) as Novak is at least 1/2” of an inch shorter than Stephen Curry is in every single photo that the two have taken by him. Therefore, I think that 187 CM is far more likely for Novak than 188 CM is.

Anyone seen the pictures of Novak with Russel Westbrook and Steph Curry? Both of them were measured 6'2 without shoes at the combine (Which could of been an early morning measurement) and , to me, Djokovic looks close to an inch shorter. You can't see footwear but I would say we can confidently say Djokovic isn't 6'1.75 or 6'2.
heightchecker34 said on 8/Jan/18
I will accept 187 cm because he is a strong 6'1 no doubt about that, although I think he might be closer to 6'1.75 compared to 6'1.5, but at this point, we would be splitting hairs. Rob, could you please add Grigor Dimitrov, Feliciano Lopez, and Fernando Verdasco? They all looked around the 6'2 mark, but after looking pictures again, I think they be all in the solid 186-187 cm category. Dimitrov looked the same height as Maria Sharapova when they were dating and half and inch taller than 6'1 Roger Federer. Lopez can drift between 6'1.5-6'2, so 6'1.75 might be the best height for him. Verdasco, if you take half inch off his spiky hair, could be 6'1.5. Thanks!

I've seen Novak's height listed as 6'3 while watching the tennis.
Josh said on 4/May/17
Murray is 6'2 maximum, he also stated his height as "6'3 in shoes" on another occassion. Doubt he has his height wrong. Djoko could be 6'1.5 if anything. If Murray really is 187.5 cm like he said, then that's a little under 6'1 7/8...closer to 6'1.75 than 6'2 actually.

I think since AM does look 6'2, it's fair enough to give it to him, but not sure Novak isn't 6'1.5, when you look at them together...and keep in mind that AM is 6'2 max if not a bit less, ND looks close to 1/2 shorter than me.

Strange Murray said 187.5 if that is the case then Nadal is 181.5-182.5 because Murray looks 2 inches taller than Rafa so i think Murray measured at a low after high tensity training or he grew extra after 18 which is possible because men can grow into their 20s.

I've always thought of Djokovic as being someone who'd probably look taller in person than you'd think. On the court he looks about 6'1, and with his slim build and slightly boyish face he doesn't look much like a sporty specimen. In person ive a feeling he'd be taller, like a good 6'2, and more athletic looking than you'd expect. Whereas with Murray I've always thought he'd be someone smaller in person than some might think. Djokovic I reckon is 6'2.5 out of bed and 6'1.5 at his lowest after a match.
Celebheights 6'1.5 said on 24/Nov/16
I highly doubt that there's much between Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray, despite what some photos suggest. Andy Murray seemed 6'2" in person, but no more with the same footwear. I also highly doubt that Novak Djokovic is under 6'1 3/4" as he seems to edge out 187 Will Smith. Andy Murray probably has him by 1/4" of an inch at most, if not less.
Chris297 said on 15/Nov/16

Celebheights 6'1.5 said on 1/Nov/16
Andy Murray-6'2" in person. Definitely wasn't over that, despite often appearing to be up to 6'4" on TV. He wakes up at 6'3".
Novak Djokovic-6'1 1/2"-6'1 3/4". He wakes up at 6'2 1/2"-6'2 3/4"
Roger Federer-6'1 1/4"-He wakes at 6'2"-6'2 1/4". I see his 186 CM listing as being accurate.
Mariah Sharapova-6'1 1/2" and wakes up at 6'2 1/4"..
Rafael Nadal-6'0 1/2" with good posture is spot on. He wakes up at 6'1 1/4"-6'1 1/2".

I just assume that they lose at least an inch of height since they're all over 6 feet tall, and I lose a bit more than an inch throughout the day now.

Sorry meant Novak at 6'1.5, not Murray.

Rob, think of it like this. you have Murray at 188cm (6'2) which is a round up of his 187.5cm claim, so fair. But technically 187.5 is closer to 6'1.75 than 6'2. I guess you are saying maybe he's the full 188 and just 187.5 is an absolute, absolute low. But to me, it sounds oddly specific. I can get maybe giving him the benefit of doubt, similarly even if we say Novak is only 1 cm less than AM and not a full 1/2 an inch, that gives us 186.5 But let's also give him the benefit of the doubt, and list him at 187cm which is what you have correctly.

I just don't see the point of giving him the extra .25 of an inch beyond that. 187 cm is right between 6'1.5 and 6'1.75 (slightly closer to 6'1.5 but pretty much halfway), it's typically translated as 6'1.5 though. Most of the guys on this site listed at 187 cm are 6'1.5 with a few 6'1.75. I just don't see that special extra bit that would justify the unusual 6'1.75 listing. Particulary since Novak himself had his height at 6'1.5 on his site into his mid 20s. Then it was replaced by the official atp listing of 6'2.

Sorry if I sound so obsessive, I just enjoy stating my case, don't expect a change but it's fun to argue :) Also, as a huge tennis fan, I'd really feel that all the top 4 were correct with AM at 6'2, ND 6'1.5, Fed 6'1, Rafa 6'0.5.

Cheers
Josh said on 20/Sep/16
Rory, your estimates are quite good.

The reason I would put Murray at 6'1.5 and not 6'1.75 is that if Andy Murray's 187.5 is really accurate then he's actually a weak 6'2. We all seem to agree the difference is at least 1 cm even if not the full 1/2 of an inch. 187.5-1 =186.5 which is 6'1.5
Rory said on 17/Sep/16
The problem is if Djokovic is 6'1.5 then that puts Federer under 6'1 as I think Djokovic is 2cms taller than him. I'm not sure Murray looks quite a half inch taller than Djokovic either, at times they can look identical in height. I think Andys 1cm taller than Novak. I think Murray 6'2, Djokovic 6'1.5.-75 range, Federer 6'0.75-1,Nadal 6'0.25-5,Wawrinka 6'0, Del Potro 6'6.25.
Josh said on 14/Sep/16
Rob, would you consider Djoko at 6'1.5? Saw him at the Open and he's a clear 1/2 of an inch less than Andy Murray. It's noticeable, even accounting for AM hair and has to be at least 1 cm. Novak was listed at 6'1.5 on his site until about 24.

Might hit 186.5-187cm after a match/at his low but that's exactly 6ft1½ so this is still a fair listing. Definitely would be 6ft2 for a while earlier in the day...
anon said on 10/Sep/16
Pretty good estimate, Djokovic must surely be at least 6ft1.5 or 187cm, But I dont see Andy Murray being only a 0.25inch taller, would you even tell a quarter inch difference, Murray does look at least 1/2 Inch taller than Djokovic- Unless Murray is underselling his height and he is closer to 6'2.5 as opposed to a flat 6'2- I think there is more chance Murray is being under listed on here as opposed to Novak's listing which seems fine.

Rob, You really think Murray is only a 1/4 Inch taller than Djokovic, I have seen tons of photos and videos of them over the yrs from matches etc and Murray always looked taller( a difference that is enough to notice) anyway

He Looks around 187 range, Not overly keen on the guy myself but He is a phenomenal player of course, on course to possibly becoming the greatest player of all time.

I think most the estimates are fine, not sure on Murray he might be a tad above just a flat 6'2
heightchecker34 said on 31/Jul/16
One of my favorite players of all time, he could easily pass for 6'2 due to his wiry frame. And most of the time, he does look it, however he is always a hair shorter than Murray in their classic matches. He is no less than 6'1.5 and certainly not taller than 6'2... so the listing is perfect. Long live the Joker!

Arch, it's not that "strange" that he makes him look 6'1.25-5... That's about the same range he looked in the photos i've posted on the tennis court!
And in that case you cannot say that maybe Ibra is wearing boots and Nole is in sneakers because it's really the opposite (Novak has probably 0.5 inch more shoes...) :P
I think that somewhere between 186 and 187 is believable for Djok, i certainly wouldn't be surprised if he was just 186...
He could be 6'2 (or a fraction over) out of bed for sure!
Josh said on 6/Jun/16
He's going to end up as the best ever. 6'1.5. Was listed a very long at this on his own site. He's also clearly at least 1 cm shorter than Murray who's a weak 6'2.

I suspect Ibrahimovic has on boots or something there and Djokovic in sneakers as he makes him look 6'1.25-5 range there oddly. In reality he's close to 6'2.

6'1.5 would be perfect for him, 186-187...

What do you estimate his weight as Rob? Around 170 pounds? Looks like a very slim and lean fella
Editor Rob: yeah somewhere in that range is likely, 170-5

He doesn't look 176 pounds as listed. Around 170 I reckon, and a good amount of that comes from his height and lean muscle tissue, at times he can look just 6% bodyfat. He's crazy lean, naturally slim but with his gluten free diet and calories burned in matches and training I think accounts for that.
Editor Rob
during some tournaments I'm sure a few players drop a number of pounds.
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 11/May/16
Rob, could Djokovic be 188cm?

I can't really distinguish between him and Murray

at times he can look 6ft 2, sometimes the difference with Murray is negligible, other times I think Murray can look to edge him out...

Boris Becker was always listed at 190cm. Click Here As you can see Becker is
is clearly 2-3 inches taller than Sampras. Sampras is was listed at 185cm, but is more like
183cm. So Becker is about 189 peak. Nowadays Becker might have lost half an inch and another
half inch due to poor posture. Novak on the other hands has perfect posture. So they seem
to be the same height, but Becker when standing straight, he definitely is still clearly taller.
Here is Becker clearly taller(and clearly a bigger man) than Djokovic who is wearing Tennis shoes.

6,1.75" would be about right if Murray is 6,2". Murray always looks a shade taller in comparable footwear.

Novak has really odd proportions though, such a big head and long neck. Gives the impression of a taller guy. Must look really skinny in person.

Interesting,I saw him today at the semi finals in Montreal with Chardy.
I must say that Chardy (187) first gave me a better impression but then when then shook hands I thought they were very similar.
Shoulders must be important in height as Chardy with his long legs and quite high and broad shoulders could have pushed 6'2
In fact when they switched sides Novak gave me the impression that he wasn't more than 6'1 (I'm insisting only the impression)
@Arch Stanton
Yeah,he's quite thin I would have thought around 165-70.Not sure how you see him giving a tall impression, personally Tsonga or Roddick give me better impressions but I trust your judgement.
I would have liked so much to go down on the court near him but one can't get everything in life, unfortunately.

Arch, while the eye level appears to be 2" inches, I don't see two full inches between them when comparing the top of their heads (and Federer might be slouching since one is higher than the other).
Andrea said on 13/Jul/15
As you can see, Arch, "impressions" or proportions mean nothing when you must guess heights! :) In that picture he actually can look 6'2.5 but maybe the camera is adding some inches to him? 6'2.5 is crazy when you look at him with guys like Ibra or Marat (who probably would be very similar)... They make him look barely 186... I still stick to 6'1.5, 6'1.75 on a relaxed day... 186 is something that wouldn't surprise me at all, though!
Arch Stanton said on 13/Jul/15
Rob, somethings not right here. Djokovic does look about this with Murray but really he makes Federer seems more 6' range. Now I doubt Federer has lost height at 33 LOL but I've definitely noticed a change in him in the last few years, he seems quite drawn in the face and sickly/tired at times. He doesn't seem as happy as he did in his 20s.
Arch Stanton said on 13/Jul/15
See what I mean with Federer here, that looks more than 0.75 diff Click Here
Arch Stanton said on 13/Jul/15
Odd but yesterday I saw him walking with Federer and the difference to me really looked nearer 2 inches than 0.75. Djokovic looked a lot lankier looking. He's the sort of guy with that typical ectomorph build who when this sort of height can give a near 6'3" impression like Andy Murray.
Andrea said on 11/Jul/15
Rob, i know you have (or had) a page for Marat Safin... If you look at him with Novak, he can look 3-4 inches taller in some photos, maybe similar to how Ibra looked with him! Do you think he might be taller than 6'4? Maybe 194-195 range like Ibra?
Editor Rob
not had a look at him for years, but beside a few players actually he doesn't look under 6ft 4.5 range!
MD said on 5/Jul/15
Warinka really isn't taller than 6'0", but he's also not anything significantly shorter. If he's shorter it's by a quarter-inch. I think he's about as honest a sports listing as you get, and can sometimes look shorter because he has a boxy/blocky torso, round(ish) head and short neck. Not your typical modern-day tennis physique, that's for sure.
Appe 6ft 0.5 said on 2/Jul/15
IMO
Wawrinka is a legit 6ft (there s a chance he could be 6ft 0.5) and he is not helped by his body shape and posture. Nadal has max 1cm on him and Djokovic is 3cm taller than Stan.

Arch Stanton said on 30/Jun/15
Yes, I agree Andrea. I saw them standing at the beginning of the French Open final and thought Djokovic looked 2.5-3 inches taller yeah, but Wawrinka's posture I don't think was great. In looking at them in photos I agree he looks near 6 ft. Click Here with Nadal, Wawrinka looks in 5'11.5-5'11.75 range. I think he'd measure a wee bit under the 6' mark.
Andrea said on 28/Jun/15
Well, Arch, in those photos on the tennis court Ibra looks easily 3 inches taller than him and he's got less footwear, i'd say around half an inch less... Of course, you can find some pictures where the difference looks less but they're not as good as those (where you can see the ground, the footwear and it's also easier to see if they're losing some height with posture or not), let alone that picture on the beach :)
Also, i just saw some pictures of him with Wawrinka guy and he can look around 4 cms taller than him, don't know where you see 3 inches... Djokovic i think he might measure somewhere between 186 and 187, that's it!
Rory said on 25/Jun/15
To me there's never been more than 1.5 inches between djokovic and wawrinka..djokovic 6'1.5/6'1.75...Wawrinka 6'0/6'0.25.
MD said on 25/Jun/15
Arch, I'm not seeing nearly three inches between Stan and Novak to be quite honest. I haven't seen the best angles, but it really only looks like two inches top. If Stan is under 6'0", it's really not by much. His listing is about as close to his actual height as you can get, it seems.
Arch Stanton said on 23/Jun/15
I don't know Andrea, if you compare him with ibra in photos at other times it looks more between 2 and 3 inches diff.
Arch Stanton said on 23/Jun/15
Click Here @ Andrea, he looks virtually 6 ft 5 and a half there ;-)
Arch Stanton said on 23/Jun/15
Yeah he's definitely not over 6'2" so Wawrinka has to be more 5 ft 11 max.
I'm surprised in all honesty that he weighs even 176 pounds. He's a very slim build guy, he seems to have got even thinner in the last few years since he cut out gluten. 176 must be his old weight, honestly he looks in 160s range now.
Andrea said on 8/Jun/15
Arch, have you seen him with Ibra, who was measured at 194.5? He can look 3 good inches shorter than him, despite having more shoes... He can make him look 6'1 flat! But i think 6'1.5 is still a good guess for him, 6'1.75 on a good day!
Arch Stanton said on 7/Jun/15
Rob can you add a photo?

Looks 2.5-3 inches taller than 6' listed Wawrinka, but I suspect Wawrinka is more around 181.

On a photo at the 2014 Wimbledon champion dinner he is the same b height of petra kvitova she could be wearing high heels but it is possible rob Novak is a fraction under 6ft 2
Josh said on 4/May/15
Rob one last try haha

Please consider Novak at 6'1.5...seen him in the flesh while I agree he is barely shorter than Murray, the difference is a clear cm...so 186.5 to 187 range...compromise would be to keep him at 187, but move him down to the more typical 6'1.5.

He was listed at 6'1.5 for years on his own site up until age 24. This would have the main 4 guys at 6'2, 6'1.5,6'1, and 6'0.5 which seems very accurate and congruent to me. Give it a consideration :)
Josh said on 10/Mar/15
Rob is the preciseness of this site down to .25 inches? It seems like one could be 1 of 2 possible heights in .25 increments that round to the same cm. For instance there are some people who are 187 cm and 6'1.5 on here.
ld be 6'1.5 not 6'1.75 He was listed at 6'1.5 for the longest time on his personal site, before upgrading it to 6'2. I know it sounds petty caring about .25 of an inch, but if Murray is truly a weak 6'2, then 6'1.5 should be a good shout for Djokovic.

I think you have all of the top 4 down to the right cm, but Novak could be knocked down .25 of an inch. That would be more like it for Novak as there does seem to be a good 1/2 an inch between him and Andy and I'd say Novak looks exactly between Roger and Andy in height. At times Nadal can look more than an inch shorter than Novak and more than 1/2 an inch shorter than Fed, but I have lately noticed he slouches a lot like Sampras. When Nadal stands up, he does look close in height to Federer and only an inch less than Novak. There are videos of Rafa and Andy at the net where you can tell the difference is about 1.5 inches.

I think having the top 4 guys at 6'2, 6'1.5, 6'1, and 6'0.5 would be a perfect listing.
Andrea said on 20/Feb/15
Mr. R, do you realize we're talking about a measured guy? Zlatan is a MEASURED 194.5 guy and there's noway in hell Djokovic is 6'2.5!!! 6'1.5 is the most i'd buy and he could even be 186! Who cares about what people say? Tom Welling gets described as 6'4-6'5 by most of his costars, people who have seen him for years! Is he 6'4-6'5? No! Same thing for Djokovic! 6'2.5 is a big joke for him...
Mr. R said on 19/Feb/15
As I said, the tennis commentators ALWAYS refer to him as 6-2.5 They see these guys all the time. When he walked past me, this is closer to the truth.
Andrea said on 16/Feb/15
Exactly, 6'2 is a big height but when i see some people here who are listed at 6'2, it doesnt seem like that! It seems more an "above average" height if you take a look at some of these listings! Of course, when people are honest 6'2, they're gonna look taller to the majority of the people! The fact is that Rob favour in a sense those who lie (even a lot) about their heights! So, an advice to celebrities: claim a big height if you want to be taller than you are on celebheights! The higher you claim the more chance you have to be overlisted on here!
Andrea said on 15/Feb/15
On the tennis court, Ibra looks near 3 inches taller and he's also got half inch less in shoes, so it's really more 3.5 inches difference! 186 is very possible, IMO! 187 on a good day!
Editor Rob
yes I think being 6ft 2 is hard to believe, but then I believe Murray's claim in comparison is genuine, almost 6ft 2, it's a big height.
Andrea said on 14/Feb/15

He doesn't look over 186 next to him, so stop saying he's 6'2.5, Mr. R! These pics speak by themselves! Rob, is 186 flat possible for him? Don't tell me he looks near 6'2 with Ibra!
Editor Rob
in some photos they don't look that far apart but then Ibra looks maybe like he's dropping height, on the tennis court he looks 3 inches smaller, I can still buy in the 187 range.
