Pat Roach's Height
6ft 4 ½ (194.3 cm)
British Actor and Wrestler, best remembered for appearing in Auf Wiedersehen, Pet and Raiders of the Lost Ark. On his acting resume he was listed "Height: 6'6, Chest: 51"", however he revealed his true height was 6ft 4.5.
My gimmick is that I'm 6ft 5 or 6ft 6 inches tall, I'm 19 or 20 stone...
Today big men are plentiful, because what's happening now is that people are taking all sorts of drugs. But natural big men used to be a rarity. I was a giant at...well, I've only ever been 6ft 4 and a half inches in my life, but the truth is we all tell lies about our height. I never have, funnily enough, not because I'm honest, but because other people have done it for me. Some people wouldn't have me anything less than 6ft 6.

Huge, HUGE man! Easily pass for 6'5. Made Harrison Ford look puny Raiders and Temple of Doom and he played General Kael so well in Willow. Giant of a man.

In Auf Weidersehen they were playing builders so he likely in some kind of work boots which usually give 2in. So he probably was 6ft6 range in those.

In his appearance in Willow he looks even bigger with the armour and helmet playing as General Kael. He was almost unrecognizable while wearing a prosthetic nose and forehead to look more intimidating.He looks nearly 13” taller than Sorsha played by 5’4” Joanne Whaley. He was about 50 years old then.

Having not been on Pat's page for some one-and-a-half years, it's only just hit be that the big guy is no longer with us. I was sidetracked by a funny comment.
What a terrible shame that he passed before his time, dying from cancer of the esophagus, aged 67. 😢 I know it to be a dreadful illness having been acquainted with someone who had it.

Saw Pat in the street outside Digbeth Coach Station in the early 1980's. I think this was close to the Gym he owned at that time. He was a big unit. A big chap. I would say around 6ft 5" minimum. I am a good 5'10/11 but Pat was half a head taller (at least) and very well made. Barrel chested and large. He was also in trainers of the flat variety at the time I saw him.

Pat had a clear 2 inches on Jimmy Nail in Auf Wiedersehen, Pet and looked a lot taller than the 6'4" James Booth who appeared in the 2nd series. Maybe Booth was down to 6'3" then, but Pat looked a strong 6'5"

Met him three times, and he totally dwarfed me at 5'8. Much bigger and broader than he looked on screen, his arms were as thick as my legs!
