whats more facsinating is their fluctuating heights. Rachel says on 30/Apr/07
it is. everyobody lies, especially celebs who want people to think of them as more tall, more thin, more whatever. pathetic but fascintaing indeed. glenn says on 30/Apr/07
heights are exaggerated high and low for alot of celebs.thats why its fascinating. Rachel says on 29/Apr/07
5'4, oh dear. I don't think the guy who wrote it likes him very much. he is minimum 5'7.
glenn says on 29/Apr/07
its interesting cause i heard and read lows of 5-4.i swear.ill check out those pics.thanks.i asked someone that met him just now and they said they were a kid and it wasnt easy to estimate.by his account, ant seemed 5-7 to 5-9.but who knows what lifts and boots abound.5-7 he might be. Rachel says on 28/Apr/07
I would not think less than 5'7 for him. I've posted some pictures on adam's listing, check it out. he has a listing of 5'8, i think it is right, perhaps 172cm. glenn says on 28/Apr/07
the vinyl version to 2nd edition is by far the better version. much more bass and clarity.as with alot of vinyl. rachel-i never met ant,he hasnt been here in 20 years i think.i know people who have.they say smaller than 5-7.they could be wrong. glenn says on 28/Apr/07
viper-the first ministry is a masterpiece.i had jougensen sign it reluctantly.they morphed to industrial, industrial metal,to now, death metal.a brilliant beast. Viper says on 27/Apr/07
Public Image Limited is such a great underrated group. Glenn, do you have Ministry's first album? Its such an awesome electro synth pop type record. They actually despise it now, lol. Rachel says on 27/Apr/07
Yeah 5'8 seems correct for Lydon but I guess he can pull off looking 5'10.
arctic monkeys are o.k, at least in comparison to other bands from the period, i'm just not a fan of most 2000's music.
Heavy metal, too noisy for me to listen too but I don't hate it, new wave, dark 80's and post punk (and a bit of electronica) are my firm favourits, can't get enough of it (at least for now). Flock of seagulls are always nice to catch on VH-1 classic, gang of four are cool, also magazine, howard Devoto is well good.
o.k, I find it hard to believe Adam Ant is my height with no shoes (165cm), used to think he was in the 5'8 or even 5'9 range, certainly never under 5'7. in videos he did wear those 5cm boots (more maybe?) but with them he looked a good 177cm or so to me, he hasn't got a great posture as well. would you really say 5'5 for him ? I think it is way too low. have you ever met the guy Glenn? I'll look for some pictures of him, though i have no idea how to post one of those links.
and yeah Adam & the ants first and (i think) second albums are great. glenn says on 26/Apr/07
lydon is weird indeed.the pic i have again isnt the greatest.because he is sitting.i would say he is 5-8.though his frame makes look 5-10..i love all the acts you mention except artic monkeys.maybe ill like the new album.i listen to almost everything but my main love is all forms of heavy metal.and new wave is a close second.wire, mission of burma, magazine, omd, television, psychedelic furs, naked eyes, split enz, abc;general public, flock of seagals, public image, gang of four are just a sample of what i like.i love industrial
,gothic, darkwave, electroclash etc.the first adam and the antz was to me by far the best and underated.his most complex and dark album.i reckon he is 5-5 tops.claims 5-7. Rachel says on 26/Apr/07
Cool Glenn, thanks.
Well I'm a big fan of Mark E. Smith and the Fall, fantastic band. Do you like them? I really like Associates as well, it's cool that there's a Billy Mckenzie post-did not expect that.I like the stranglers (their stuff after 1984 is ****), bit underated band. Also PIL are cool. John Foxx is good, ultravox are good (although I hate midge ure. Foxx is much better).
Also Adam & the ants (they have some great albums), echo & the bunnymen, Psychedelic furs, talking heads (David Byrne is great), most stuff of joy division.
As for recent bands, really didn't like much, but Futureheads, arctic monkeys and Muse are cool.
That covers a lot of my fav bands. tell me some of the bands you like, I hardly know people who like that sort of music.
BTW, I would like to see a John lydon pic besides you because there's something strange with that guy. he is not a tall guy but in sex pistols videos he slouches forward and in a pretty low position besides 6'2 Sid (who also slouches a bit) and sid is maybe 10cm or so taller than him which makes him about 178cm and I don't think he is.
Do you have any idea about the guy ? glenn says on 25/Apr/07
ill try to post it this weekend.cool? what other bands do you like? Rachel says on 25/Apr/07
6'1, that's a pretty tall dude.
wish I had a photo with him.
It will be really great if you'll post that Peter Murphy pic. THANKS Glenn glenn says on 24/Apr/07
i have peter murphy.he is 6-1 id say.jaz was very sweet.again,a horrible slouch.any height is possible, but im going with 5-10 minimum.ill post that murphy pic one day, hopefully soon. Rachel says on 24/Apr/07
That's cool Glenn, you lucky guy. Is he a cool nice guy in real life ?
5'11, really ? Don't know, on videos and pictures he looks like he is no more than 5'9 or even less, maybe it's because of his slouch that you've mentioned.
Fan of Bauhaus maybe, Glenn ?
Would sure like to see a pic of Peter Murphy and yourself glenn says on 24/Apr/07
rachel-i have a great photo of me, jaz and raven on a tour bus.not great for height.i think jaz was 5-11.5-10 minimum.hard to say, cause he had a horrendous slouch, and i was sitting down. Rachel says on 23/Apr/07
Hey Glenn, how about getting a nice Jaz Coleman picture ?
I would estimate his height (based on pictures only) at about 174.
Nice to know you're a fan! Glenn says on 3/Sep/06
Thanks Rob.weird pic.I now remember him looking pretty tall.met him in 2004 as well. Glenn says on 3/Sep/06
Also a member of Ministry at the moment too. Glenn says on 3/Sep/06
One of the most underated bands ever.actually Rob,lets change this to 6-1.new album Hosannas from the Basments of Hell one of the greatest albums of all time and the album of the year by far in a dull year for music.
[Editor Rob: since I've no idea on this guy, I'll mention its your estimate at the top] |
