Vegas, I think the angle favours Flair in the old vid, Piper is looking down and Flair´s hair save the rest.
I give Piper max 6´1" peak, maybe just under and Flair 5´11"peak maybe 5´11.5".
Flair was an early lift wearer in my opinion, even in old vid´s it´s clear to see that Flair cared about his height.

That was Piper with an inch on a 5"11 minimum Ric Flair.
Piper was a legit 6"0, and quite possibly close to 6"1 at some stage.
Flair at that stage had already broken his back, years before in a plane crash and had already been wrestling 20 years. It's conceivable that Flair had already lost a little height at that stage. He was near 6"0 at his peak no doubts. Vegas says on 28/Feb/10

Flair's arrest said 6'0? ok thats atleast 1 inch to much possible 2, since he has been down to 5'10 the last few years. Sounds right, a girl iknow has a ID who says 5'3 but she is only 5'1. adding ONE inch is absolute minimum, in fact TWO inches extra is even more normal.

The picture you show on this site is with some one 5'11.5 flair is taller or equal if your gona cry camera angle. His arrest reprt for his DUI in dec 2008 has him listed at 6.0 even and his arest picture shows his hair reaching over the 6'1 mark. Even with his 2'' lifted dress shoes and his 1.5'' boot soles Ric is a minimum 5'11.5 and in my book 6'1" is a perfectly fair and acceptable billed height. I went back stage at the O2 wrestlemania revenge tour. It was surreal. Gail kim, Teddy Long and MVP came off as quite shy and generally quiet too. MVP billed as 6'3" is a bit of an exag. He's 5'11" like me. Maybe they all have height complexes like all of us after all they're only human. Ric Flair is more than likely barefoot in that RR08 video. He is definitely still 5'11" based on the enormous number of fan/worker pics I've seen, especially people whose height I know.

That’s me in the photo. In that photo I was 5’11.5” and 230 pounds. Our shoes both looked about the same height. We were both standing straight and tall. I think I may have had half an inch on him at best, but then again you be the judge. Flair per my earlier comment stepped forward for the photo. A great trick I need to remember =).
The same day I stood side by side with Cena but he sat for the photo. My recollection is that Cena was as tall if not half an inch taller than I. I would guess that he weighs between 225 and 230. He was wearing the B-Ball shoes but the heel seemed comparable to what I was wearing, although it might explain the half inch. I only noticed because I really expected these guys to be huge. If Flair is 6'0" then Hogan was over still close to 6'6" when he entered the WCW and faced off against Ric in their 1994 match. Hogan was A LOT taller than Ric, by at least 6". I wish I had the match on my HD, but I don't. It's on a VHS tape. Trust me though. Hogan was VERY skinny and still appeared VERY tall. As for Ric, well, he used to be listed as 6'1" and 243 pounds up until early 2000's and then he was listed as 5'11" and 220 pounds by the WWE on their website. I believe that a lot more accurate than 6'1". Was he ever that tall? I'm sure he was 6'0" and change and today is 5'10" and change. Yeah i think he could be about 181cm now. I think he would of been a strong 6foot in he's prime maybe like 183cm. That plane crash and he's career would of deffently effected he's height. I met him once in St. Martin about 10 years ago. He was there with a bunch of other wrestlers who were putting on a show. I'm 5'11". When I was talking to him, he definitely appeared about 6'. I remember his hands being huge though. Seemed like a strong dude. Nice guy. Elio says on 10/May/06

More than likely he's had further spinal compression from wrestling over the past 32 years.

My brother is about 6'0.5" and he saw Ric Flair in a club on the west coast in the 1990's and he stood next to Ric Flair and he said he felt like he was a little taller than Flair. I think it is fair to say Flair is 6'0" Elio says on 2/May/06

To be honest I wasn't comparing height that night. He seemed about my height and to be honest I was shocked. I had always thought these guys were about 6’4” or so. I was also shocked that I was as big if not bigger than most of them. Even the Masterpiece was a lot smaller than I thought. My guess was that Ric Flair was right at 6’ give or take ˝ of an inch. He carried himself with good posture which I think makes him look closer to 6’ than not. A lot of guys his age slouch whereas he carried himself with bravado and confidence. I asked my wife and daughters and they thought he was just a about the same as me when we were actually side to side. She did say he had a big head which accounted for some of the height. She also said that he did tend to step forward when photos were being taken (she was the one who took the photos). Cycklops says on 20/Apr/06

Agree with Doink, if the guy's billed at 6'1" he's almost certainly shorter in reality. Plus, Kurt Angle is the pretty much the best measuring stick there is the WWE; not only has he one of the best documented heights (5'10"/178 cm) among wrestlers, but the guy's bald! Try using Carlito for comparison...

Flair was in great shape, for a guy of any age, when we took this photo. This was taken about three days after the arrest for road rage. He seemed like a real nice guy and had a heck of strong handshake. Now that you mentioned it we took a few photos and he always seemed to move to the front just a little. I find 185 cm VERY hard to believe, even in the past. Nowadays he looks very much Kurt Angle's height, I think he's the taller of the two; about 179 cm/5'10˝" today would be my guess.
I think he looks taller in that picture only because he's closer, but at least his shoulder line seems to be just lower than Jim's, so even based on that I'd guess no more than 5'11"... Besides, I've lost my trust for still photos a long time ago – of course, sometimes you have nothing else to work with.
Shawn Michaels could be a good person to compare him to (though I'd put Shawn at 5'11"/180 cm, rather than 6'/183 cm). Paul says on 20/Apr/06
