American comedian and actor, best remembered for roles in Robin Hood: Men in Tights, Leaving Las Vegas, Once Upon a Crime and Wagons East!. In a 1991 Philadelphia Enquirer article it quoted Lewis's own words of a character he played as that of a "5-foot-9 1/2 Jewish man".

Always looked a fair few inches shorter than the 5'11" Larry David on Curb your enthusiasm although his posture is poor aswell.

He looks a good few inches shorter than Larry in Curb. 5'7 seems about right. Dude has awful posture though, can look smaller than what he is.

5ft9.5 Jewish man, LOL. That's like when Jeremy Piven referred to himself as "5ft9 and Jewish" on some talk show(can't remember which). But him claiming 177cm is just funny. But to be fair, he has horrible posture, and on Curb your Enthuisasm, he wears converse a lot, yet when up straight, doesn't look more than a good 4 inches under 180-181cm Larry David. Honestly , I'm a huge fan of CYE, and I'd say 171cm for Mr. Lewis.(not neccasarily 5ft7.5, but certainly 5'7.2-5'7.3 at worst.) but not more than 171cm, and 177?!? Is insane!!!

commonly gets listed at 5'9'', which is obviously wrong. although lewis does have unusually poor posture (some of the worst i've ever seen), larry david towers over him in 'curb your enthusiasm.' i think height is correct for him

I saw him at a Duane Reade here in NYC about a year ago. I struggle to get to 5'8 with dress shoes on and he was about an inch smaller than me. So 5'7 with shoes (not lifts) would work
