There was a scene in Caddyshack where Dangerfield and Ted Knight appeared to be the same height (Knight was listed as 5'9").

I met Rodney in Vegas about 10 years ago. Actually, I was the lucky woman chosen to go on stage and give him a kiss in exchange for his tie (a part of his act). I am 5'5" and I was wearing 3.5" heals. Rodney was still 2 inches over me (long arms, sweaty hands...long story). So he kept his 5'10.5" height til the end.

He use to be 5'10.5 to 5'11, now he is probably 5'9.5 to 5'10. This height is correct. I don't think he is now closer to 5'8. In back to school a kid says 'hey, your the one that makes those obnoxious commercials! Your tall and fat! And he replies "well your short and ugly!"

I heard him tell David Letterman years ago he was 6'2" which is the same as David Letterman according to Letterman but I don' think Dangerfield was six two and I don't think Letterman is six two.
