I saw him at the DMV in Culver City, CA. I'm 5'10 and I would say 5'10.5 is spot on He was standing right next to me.

This was one of those surprises. I always pictured Eldard to be this strapping hulk, and expected him to tower over me. Imagine my surprise when I rushed the stage after the screening and found him to be average. He was also very slim, and I think bulk affects our perception of height. I stood right behind him, and definitely looked down several inches. This was also the same night that I met Sir Ben "I swear he's only 5'6" Kingsley. I was so unnerved by the shortness of the men, that I forgot to size up Jennifer Connelly and Shorah Aghdashloo. But Paul Bettany was walking around the audience, with he and Jennifer's baby, and he is definitely the 6'3" as listed.
