One comment was "My friend is 6-4 and he stood next to Westbrook and Westbrook was taller"

Saying he's grown inches lol

@Canson: I found something very interesting regarding Poole.
Check this link out:

In this video Poole and Steph are both barefoot, which means that neither of them has any kind of footwear advantage. They appear to be the same height and I'd say Jordan only has a max of 1 inch on Steph, who is about 6'1.5" afternoon height! I'm beginning to think that Poole might not even be a full 6'3". I believe he just wears big lifts in his shoes. What are your thoughts?
Editor Rob
You'd need to upload the file from your computer to something like imgbb.com or imgur.com and then link to it there.

@Canson, I think Poole only looks 1.5 Inches taller than steph which would mean that he is about 6‘3 flat. Also when he did an Interview with tyrese maxey, they appeared to be the same height. Maxey was i think measured at 6‘2.5 at the draft and jordan had at max 1/4 or 1/2 of an inch on him which would also suggest that he‘s 6‘3 flat or even only 6‘2.75. What do you think about that?

Dear Rob, could you please do a site on Jordan Poole? I would really like to know if he‘s a full 6‘4 or rather like 6‘3.5 or something.

He measured 6’3.5 when he was drafted. Chances are that or 6’3.25 if the 6’3.5 was earlier in the day. He looks a couple inches taller than Steph but Steph appears overlisted. Steph was early morning 6’2” so more 6’1.5”

I should clarify my current body fat is 11.6% according to my measurements, not my old body fat. 11-12% at 205-210. I’d have guessed 12-14 from looking at me so I was half a percent off

Canson said on 2/Mar/21
@Simon L: I’m not just basing it on the pic. I’m basing it on seeing them on the court together. Beal is slightly taller. Westbrook may be what he was listed when he was drafted 6’2.25” at a low imho. 6’2.5” is not out of the question but it would mean Beal is a legit 6’3 (at least) and even he can look on the weaker side of it on occasion
simon L said on 28/Feb/21
@Canson those images of Westbrook and Beal are just individual action shots of them cropped together into one edited image. I also really don't like using other basketball player heights for comparison because it seems like on this site everyone has a different height marked for these players. Finding pictures with celebrities that have a more established height is much more valuable imo.
The pictures with J Cole tell me there is no way in hell Westbrook is 6'2 at a low. That is just ridiculous especially consider he was wearing a flat converse shoe in those photos.

@RJT: then again Melo could’ve been 6’6-6’6.25 range. The people around me told me he looked 1.5-2” taller. I thought it was more 4-5cm. Russ could fall a hair under the 1/4” too. But 1/2” between Russ and Hemsworth like Rob has them looks good. Chris could be a full 190 and Russ 6’2.25” and Liam could be what Rob lists him
RJT said on 9/Oct/20
@Canson @Editor Rob

The more I look at it, that seem closer to 3/4" (2cm) rather than just 1/2" honestly. Pause at 0.2-0.3 mark, Chris' eye level meet Westbrook's eyebrow. From eyes to eyebrow is usually 2cm gap.if Chris is a 6'2.75" guy he should have 5'10 1/8" eyelevel, that makes Westbrook barely 6'2 flat or maybe 1/8" above it. If Chris full 6'3, that makes Westbrook 6'2.25".

I agree 6'2.5" seem too optimistic, the average guess is too tall. Probably cause Westbrook seem taller than other 6'3 listed guys such as Curry, formerly Rose, Irving, Lillard etc.
Canson said on 8/Oct/20
@RJT: that lines up to his pre draft height 6’2.25 which I’ve always advocated he looked. Rob used to have him at that but not anymore. He looks it next to Carmelo Anthony.

You're right, 6'2.25 might be better fit for him as Rob usually put someone's near low for height. The way I see it, Russ is solid 6'2.25 guy who can creep to 6'2.5 rather than 6'2.5 guy who can creep to 6'2.75

And you're right too about Curry, he looks visibly shorter next to 6'2 Gordon, for someone to be visibly shorter than the next guy, at least gottba be half inches.

Already post this on Curry's page too so Rob can downgrade Curry.

There are a few cases where siblings of the same gender who share the same parents, are nearly a foot apart. But most of them happen where one of them had their height stunted, such as due to a childhood disorder. Look at the Cimorelli sisters, for example. Amy's listed 4'10.5" and Katherine's at 5'9.25"

John Wall is measured at 6'2 3/4 but don't you think it might be his morning height because he's no taller than now 6'2 1/2 Westbrook?

Wall seems to be 6'2 1/2 yet he's measured at 6'4 in shoes whereas Westbrook is measured only at 6'3 in shoes.

Around 6ft 2.5 for wall is feasible

@Big T: he received an “official” measurement of 6’3” from the NBA. Most likely it’s a morning measurement of 6’2.5 or .75 rounded up and he’s around 6’2.25 like he was initially measured. Either way, if he is listed 6’3” in the league, 9.9 out of 10 times he is really 6’3 or less. The NBA doesn’t under list people very often and it won’t happen after they just measured him
Canson said on 1/May/20
@5.9 legit guy: I would say 188-189 and 186-187 for Curry
Big T said on 30/Apr/20
I still can’t understand how tall he was next to 184cm listed TJ Perenara. Like 5.5” taller, just totally dwarfed him.

There are loads of photos of Perenara with various rugby players on his instagram plus he has met Westbrook on multiple occasions. I would say Westbrook lines up with the rugby guys who are 6’4ish. He looks similar to 6’5” listed Jordie Barrett and demonstrably TALLER than 6’5” listed Shannon Frizell, when compared with TJ.

This is one of those cases where different worlds colliding gives me some major dissonance.

@ vampyr detective

Hi mate, Russ W wears even bigger heeled trainers (sneakers in The US) than 90% of NBA players. You can see them when you next watch him play. His Jordan line had a 1.75 inch heel/cushioned sole. If he is 6ft 2.5/75in, and has those heels - 6ft 4.5in at least. That's why 6ft .75in lillard with his Signature Dames on reaches 6ft 2in. That picture you linked to, doesn't show the strides/leg position of Dame and Russ.

Russel Westbrook Real height is 6'2.4 (189)
Canson said on 11/Feb/20
That’s because Lillard isn’t as tall as he’s listed. He’s listed 6’2” just like other players such as Jimmy Butler are listed 6’7”. They brought them down 1” just to claim that they measured them. In reality Butler would be well under 6’6” in the afternoon and Lillard probably only 6’0”-6’0.5 tops. Russ is really 6’2.25”

@Monkey Knees: that may even be a couple hours after waking for Russ vs an hour. He was 6’2.25” at the combine and that may well be his afternoon height. I could buy the full 6’3 out of bed.
Monkey knees said on 9/Jan/20
Westbrook - 6ft 2.5in morning height is spot on.

Lillard, although the superior player, gives almost 1.75in to him, height wise.

I know NBA height listings are still not correct, but I'm still seeing 6ft 4.5in for Russ on sites/IG and 6ft 2.5in for Dame. Is it an NBA thing, or a US thing? Inflating heights?! I'm 5ft 11.75in barefoot, worked at The Moda Centre as kit assistant (glorified cleaner) and am moving back there in 6 months to work admin/online for The Blazers... I've seen so many players listed at 6ft 2in who are my height or shorter - Kemba, Chris Paul etc... It's odd!?

@Shane: honestly watching the game tonight he looks very close in height with Gordon. My guesses are:

Russ 6’2.25 afternoon height (if he really edges Gordon) and 6’3 out of bed
Gordon 6’2” afternoon height 6’2.75 out of bed
Harden 6’3.5 afternoon height 6’4.25 out of bed

Harden appears 1.5” taller than Gordon and about 3 cm or 1.25” on Russ

Steph is 6’1.5 as he measured 6’2” in the morning. Westbrook is at most what Rob lists him but probably what he measures at the combine in 2008 6’2.25. Jarrett Jack has 2cm on Curry and is about the same size as Westbrook. Jack is around 188-189 in person (6’2.5 probably after a couple hours of waking or it was rounded up)

@Viper: 2008 measurements were afternoon. Not saying he didn’t lay down or something but he looks close to 6’3” at times so I doubt he’s only 6’1.75. I fully agree with 6’2.25 to be honest. He’s noticeably taller than Curry Rose etc and wasn’t even 3” shorter than Jordan when he stood next to him. That was prob a 6cm difference between them. @Shane and Rob: a normal low for him is likely 6’2.25 with 6’3” out of bed. I don’t even lose a full inch at a normal low and I’m taller than he is. Same with Christian he loses roughly what I do and he’s an inch taller at 6’5 3/8
Shane said on 20/Mar/19
@Rob so you are suggesting a 6'3" guy shrinking an inch by afternoon which would lead him to possibly shrinking 1.5 inches by nightfall or after a game? I mean it is remotely possibly but its usually guys who are at least 6'7" or more who compress 1.5 inches or more. I just see that as being highly unlikely. Thanks for the feedback and analysis as always.
Editor Rob
All I'm saying is if I give Russell 6ft 2.5, then out of bed he has a chance of 6ft 3.5
Shane said on 20/Mar/19
@Rob how on earth do you have have him at possibly 6'3 1/2 out of bed barefoot? That would mean he hit a good growth spurt after 2 years of college. Highly unlikely. He was measured 6'2 1/4 in afternoon of 2008. That would be a 1.25 inch compression by afternoon so basically you are suggesting he could compress up to a good 1.75 inches by nightfall which would be super rare for a 6'3" guy to do. 6'3" out of bed may be possible as 3/4" compression by afternoon is certainly possible. Some do that.
Editor Rob
If he's 6ft 2.5 then he might hit 6ft 3.5 out of bed.

The others like Curry and Lillard etc are morning and a bit off for lillard.

If Westbrook is 189cm at his low then he would have grow 1/2 taller since drafted measurement at 6'2.25" which is an A.M height. Honestly sometimes he can pull off 6'2 3/4 other time doe look like 6'2 1/2 is believable. I won't go back my previous at 6'2 guessing it seem too low. Maybe 6'2.25" for his lowest measurement.

From all I've seen, I think a full 189 isn't unreasonable.
Joao Pedro said on 20/Dec/18
Rob, he seems to have grown a couple of centimeters since he entered to the league. Nowadays he looks taller and overall physically bigger than 6ft 2,75 measured at the combine John Wall. Wall who is listed at 6ft 4 and 210 pounds by the NBA. My guess is that he wakes up at around 6ft 3,5 and goes to bed at around 6ft 2,75 (on easy days) and on a game day he goes to bed at worst at 6ft 2,5. What are your thoughts about it Rob?
Editor Rob
At times he has looked close to 190cm, so it's not impossible. I think the 2.5 is probably the low range he generally seems to look.

I am really struggling to comprehend this photo of Westbrook with 6’ 1/2” listed TJ Perenara

Westbrook only looks 6” shorter than Steven Adams (listed 7 foot, apparently measured 6’ 10.75”) and he’s at LEAST 5” taller than Perenara. Either way, it’s consistent with Russ being about 6’5!

If you go through the 3 photos in the sequence, TJ looks pretty consistently 5” shorter and the most I can see between Adams and Westbrook is 7”, and that’s generous to Adams

The only wildcard is that Westbrook’s shoes look enormous. Obviously he isn’t balling in lifts, but maybe he wears unusually heavily padded/cushioned shoes?

Looking through Perenara’s other photos, he’s obviously overlisted but I can’t see him under 5’10”. I guess at a stretch Westbrook might be 4.5” taller with a big footwear advantage, and Adams is just a really tall guy with bad posture?
Canson said on 27/Nov/18

Odell Beckham can get up there and dunk with the best of them--he's 181cm and his (standing) vert at the NFL combine was 38½ inches.

There are plenty of guys substantially shorter than Westbrook that can dunk in impressive fashion. I do know what you mean, though. Westbrook does dunk with unusual ferocity. Having just watched a few of his dunks, he seems to sling his arm from way back and the ball therefore travels a tremendous distance at high speed before it's dunked. Michael Jordan didn't tend to do this, although he was every bit the leaper that Russ is. Dominique Wilkins was famous for slamming the ball with the same kind of power, but he was about 4in taller than Russ and it's a very different visual when a 6'2½ guy does it.

He looks even struggling to hit 6 feet tall
Lkk said on 24/May/18
6'2 at worst
Junior Hernandez 1990 said on 11/May/18
I always felt Brandon Routh and Westbrook are close in height. Nice upgrade!
Canson said on 8/May/18
@EddieMoney: Russ would be 6’3.5 in shoes or a touch higher which is why SAS calls him 6’4”. I can see Russ and Oladipo being similar in height but because Oladipo was measured at that In the morning whereas Russ was measured in the afternoon in 2008. They began morning measurements in 2009. Also have to figure if Oladipo really was only say 6’3.05-.1 they would likely bump him to 1/4” because the NBA doesn’t do 1/8” increments like the NFL. It’s possible Oladipo is down closer to 6’2.5 or .75 In the afternoon and at that rate he would look close in height with Russ whether he’s 6’2.25 (like he was listed when drafted) or 6’2.5 like he is here
EddieMoney said on 6/May/18
Westbrook looks almost exact same height, might be even taller than the 6'3.25 measured Victor Oladipo. Stephen Smith adamantly stated that Westbrook is 6'4, and he has stood next to him, when someone commented on air that Westbrook is 6'2.
I would say Westbrook might be 6'3.5
Canson said on 30/Apr/18
@Johnson: I agree with Shane that he slouches but agree with you on his height. I see him as no taller than maybe 6’2.5 barefoot if that. Definitely not 6’4
Johnson said on 29/Apr/18
@Shane no way Rubio is measured 6'4 if he is not in sneakers when he claimed himself 1.90 in centimetres
Canson said on 28/Apr/18
@Shane: I feel you lol! As far as Rubio however, that’s interesting! I never noticed the slouching. He may actually be taller than Rose if that’s the case. Rose measuring 6’1.5 is likely a normal low, meaning before an extreme low kicks in. He would easily be 6’2” out of bed if he measures that but 2008 measurements were in the afternoon. I’m not sure about Rubio now but to me he doesn’t look taller than Rose
Shane said on 27/Apr/18
@Canson: Rubio slouches a lot. I know it seems hard to believe, but many insist he's been measured at or near 6'4" barefoot and 6'5" in shoes. If so, no way he dips under 6'2". Anyhow, I will leave your morning height comments alone lol as we will never agree on that point my friend haha.
Canson said on 23/Apr/18
@Johnson: fair enough. If your database is as flawed as your logic then I could see why you overestimate people
Johnson said on 23/Apr/18
The hour of Curry's tweet is 2.01 pm in the capture I have. He is just telling people about the journey he had that morning

He says: up at 6.30 getting tested...

I had no idea about how they did for draft heights I just said my opinion how he looks with other people and that is enough

Then I did read about the difference of hours 2008 and 2009 but I have seen enough to give freely my predictions about players and I don't think they all grew up

But I have a database of footballers and basketball players with pics and information

Get a life my friend no te ciegues y dejame en paz.

My guesses on the point guards of today (at their afternoon heights)

Derrick Rose: 6’1.5
Kyrie 6’1.25-.5
Curry 6’1.5
Russ 6’2.25
Lillard 6’0.75
Rubio 6’1-6’1.5
CP3 5’11
Conley 5’11
Wall 6’1.75
Lonzo 6’4.25-.5
Isaiah 5’8-5’8.25
Canson194cm said on 22/Apr/18
@Johnson: Lebron would measure that at some point in the day. Don’t know if or think that that would be a low, however being that he measured 6’7.25, he claimed 6’6” before, and is not as tall as Love or Boozer or Tristan Thompson. Nonetheless, he would measure it. However, your comment below contradicts your statements you have made over the years. I have seen previous comments of yours and your Instagram. You are saying that I am or someone else is wrong when we assess heights at a low. In reality, you use a different standard than Celebheights which assesses people at an afternoon height. In addition, you assume everyone grows. Many of the basketball players, especially those measured 2009 or later, are measured an hour out of bed which is 3/8-1/2” above your afternoon height. If you haven’t realized yet, Rob assesses people at an afternoon height and that Is much more accurate than a height 1 hour out of bed like you assess. That’s the standard here on Celebheights. You guessed Steph Curry at 189 when he measured 188 an hour or less out of bed so that means he’s not that tall. And it’s one hour as the NBA has reported that heights are measured in the 6am hour evidenced by Blake Griffin and the NFL as well evidenced in an article from 2006 which says that it was that early in the AM. But you say everyone grew then make excuses such as they only did it for one year then reverted back to later in the day. In addition what you said about Curry “tweeting from his hotel room”. Troll may be a bit harsh because you’re entitled to your opinion and you’re a nice guy but common sense is common sense. I could see maybe one or two players out of 10 growing after a pre draft but it’s not likely that all of them did which is what you tend to believe. Then you also mentioned once that Ibrahimovic’s 194 measurement can’t be taken seriously because we could not hear all of the digits. True but that doesn’t change the fact that he’s 194 range meaning he would not be any taller than that. The only argument is that he could be less depending on when he actually measured (morning or afternoon).

Plus. When I give predictions I do not mean evening lows

Lows are tricky and they do not work out the same for all people

Everyone is free to give predictions when they want. Rob is the webmaster I don't think that they urge the posters to give predictions at the typical lowest. I read the rules and he does not say: the users must say predictions at low.
Canson said on 20/Apr/18
@Christian: that was well said! The funniest part is you have someone saying players grew and some of them were morning heights to begin with. It’s also funny that people don’t accept that a player can actually be well below a mark (Dwayne Wade comes to mind) and accept that a player is taller than they’re listed lol. Considering that the NBA measures its players annually, Rose would likely be listed 6’4” by now and Lebron 6’9” lol. They make adjustments during the year or at the beginning of the year. Gilbert Arenas was listed 6’3” at one point then later 6’4. Wall I believe was listed 6’3” then was bumped to 6’4” when he played with Arenas the first half of his rookie year and has remained the same ever since. Paul Pierce is a rare example. He was listed 6’6” when he first came in and likely is that amount barefoot. This may be because Boston had Ron Mercer and Antoine Walker and didn’t know where Pierce would fit in (would he be 2 or 3?). He was bumped to 6’7” when he became a full time 3 just like Vince Carter who is easily 1” shorter than Pierce was downgraded from 6’7 to 6’6” when he became exclusively a 2 guard in Toronto. Ditto for Kobe after Eddie Jones left and he was the full time 2 guard.
Canson said on 20/Apr/18
@Johnson: yes just like you were forcing your opinion of a 6’2.75 Derrick Rose on me as well. So I didn’t think like you there. And you saying Dillon is the “most common sense guy” because he sees your prediction and follows your methods of upgrading players just shows the hypocrisy with your last statement
Johnson said on 20/Apr/18
Lebron uses very thick sneakers.
I would list him around 201.5
Johnson said on 20/Apr/18
The guy with common sense here about basketball players is Dillon. Just ask Dillon he knows my exact prediction and my database of figures and pictures and what I give nowadays.

Most of people here have some kind of complex because they like to insult everybody else who do not think like them. They should grow up these things about predicting heights is just a game. A silly game. No money, no honour involved.

Who do not know this is not worth.
Rampage(-_-_-)Clover said on 19/Apr/18
Rob, what made you upgrade him?

Nothing wrong with that by the way, he can pull this off
Editor Rob
He looks often enough nearer a solid 189 than a weak one.
Canson said on 19/Apr/18
@Viper: Russ may have grown but it’s no higher than what Rob has him listed here. Even this seems high assuming Carmelo Anthony is a full 6’6.25 at a low. He may be a hair below as I was told by 5 people 1.5-2” difference. Nevertheless, Melo would still measure 6’6.25 near a low and the NBA doesn’t do 1/8” increments so he could’ve even been 6’6.05-.1 and been rounded up to that if it were a low. I’d bet money though that he isn’t less than a full 6’6” at a low and looked more along the lines of 198.5ish imho
Canson said on 19/Apr/18
@Viper: Merriman needs a professional measurement in my opinion. I simply don’t agree with 6’4 3/8. Rob is the professional of course. I guarantee you that if Rob were to stand next to him that Merriman would no longer be listed 6’4” here. Even if Rob were generous it wouldn’t be higher than 6’3 on this site.
Johnson said on 19/Apr/18
my predictions are just what I believe, let the people believe what they want, they are not facts, they are opinions

I was the first one who predicted 1,72 for Coutinho before measuring him, the day arrived, the video measuring and he marked 171,9. He breathed in and he market 172.2. So I just ask a little bit of respect for the users

Call a troll a person like me whose database of celebs of basketball/football players shows that are normally under the official listed height???

That is nonsense
Christian-6'5 3/8 said on 19/Apr/18
@Rob

Facts should always outweigh opinions though. For example, despite Johnson saying that Derrick Rose's 6'2.75", it's a fact that he was measured 6'1.5" so we know he's not taller than that. Same thing with Lebron, he was measured 6'7.25" so 6'8" is out of the question.
Editor Rob
Unless you are of the opinion - like Johnson - that they grew a bit taller. He seems to believe that, though yourself and others (myself included) don't hold that same opinion.
Canson said on 18/Apr/18
@Christian: most of what Johnson does stems from his beliefs that soccer players are a certain height by claiming to speak with the clubs and get official data. He swears by them whether they are morning heights or even embellished. Case and point was Griezzman with Derrick Rose. He made Rose 6’2.75 even trying to tell me that he’s taller than Kirk hinrich once when he’s shorter. Not to mention put Rose next to Curry (proven to be a morning height and likely 6’1.5 as well) or Westbrook or any others and he looks 6’1.5 at best. Coincidentally 2008 was an afternoon measurement as well which is the way Celebheights bases heights. But if you see the claims for MJ 6’5.5, Kobe 196.4cm, Lebron 203, Melo 200, Durant 208, Russ a full 6’3” Rose 6’2.75 it is beyond laughable. One player or perhaps two may grow but that’s 7 players I just named. Yet when it comes to women he often points out that they aren’t as tall as they’re listed. He was right about Maria Taylor I’ll give him that much at least
Canson said on 18/Apr/18
@Christian: thanks! And if logic were there I could see it but it’s not. He simply uses that as his go to for everything. He was doing that since he came on this site. Maybe Russ grew but if he did it’s no higher than Rob has him listed but to be honest I could still see 6’2.25. I see him next to Victor Oladipo and he was measured 6!3.25 in the morning. Russ was afternoon in 08. The tallest I could see for Oladipo is 6’2.75 in the afternoon or even 6’2 5/8 if that was rounded up from 6’3 1/8 to 1/4. He can look shorter than Russ but taller on other occasions or exact wth him for reference but hard to tell with them as close in height as they are. But now I can see why some say he’s 6’4/6’5 because he’s only prob a fraction shorter than a 6’5” listed guy (who’s under 6’3 just like Deangelo Russell lol)

@Rob: I don’t know about that. Claiming Derrick Rose grew to 6’2.75 is kinda crazy and inflating everyone else with him along with the site you mentioned.
viper said on 18/Apr/18
Rob, and that's why Shawne Merriman did not grow an inch at 21 from his listed 6-3.

He was listed 6-4 in high school
Editor Rob
Merriman is one of the strangest cases out there...out of all the athletes, he's one who I'd like to measure actually...
